I did not watch the II 1 or 2. But I have followed last two seasons of American Idol and was eagerly waiting for II 3.

At times, it became too difficult to watch II 3 due to high emotions, irresposible judgements (like praising Suhit), also Minnie trying to bring crushes between participants out......etc......

But in the end, I am really proud of II 3. As we will be getting a singer like "Amit" who might have got lost in north eastern states of India. If we look at all the famous singers so far in Bollywood music industry we never had a singer from north eastern states. We have had a lot of singers from Kolkata. - in fact music industry is dominated by Bengalis. So it would have been still easier for Emon but there are very high chances that we would not have known about Amit.

I agree, I will be proud to see North Indian singer in Bollywood. I hope Amit wins the title and persue his career in singing.

Ahh so Darjeeling has been returned to Nepal by the Indian Government? When did that happen? Cool!! Only last week I was checking up on what happened to the treaty signed between the British Rulers of India and Nepal and found out that after gaining Independence, the Indian Government never did really return the parts of lands that didn't belong to them and kept ruling over. However, this piece of news that Darjeeling now is part of Nepal must be relief to all and sundry 😆

You are absolutely right. Prashant is from Darjeeling and his mother tongue is Nepali.

Amit lives in Shillong, but I'm pretty sure that I read an interview with him or something where he mentioned he was Bengali.
