Thinking about this a bit-if the makers really wanted Aryan to be negative, or even grey then he wouldn't have convinced Imlie to give Adi those 5 minutes to talk.
Imlie was clearly going to ignore Adi's request (and she had every right too). But in a sense he actually forced them to communicate and while that ends up turning out even more horrible (that pre-cap right...aah🤢), it shows that he hasn't intentionally come in between them.
Deleting anyones message is wrong, but to blame Aryan for Adi-Imlie separation is also wrong. That was the one "wrong" thing he did and the truth is that the timeline is such that even if he had not deleted that message-Adi and Malini would have gotten married.
I also know that he confiscated her phone, but seriously what employer lets you be on your phone for work assignments. And that even when the assignment is worth 5 crores.
Adi has gone downhill since he character assasinated Imlie (and ages before that tbh). But his last request in the pre-cap is such an ego grab. I hate to say it, but I know people will still be rooting for Adi's character even after this.
Really wanting Aryan and Imlie to be end game, or at the verrrry least for Imlie never to go back to Adi. The makers hopefully want this too!!
