The episode today went on a whole another level bringing out the innermost feelings of Saaz (as Myrah rightly mentionedy). The episode started with the freshness Arzoo brought into Saahir's life, with her unusual and at times for Saahir overbearing innocence. The Saahir we saw in the beginning use to fume at this new form of energy in his life whenever emilees were accidentally thrown at him or she intentionally touched the back of his head with a leaf. But when Arzoo innocently collided into Saahir today and banged her head against him for the second time due to some strange superstition the Saahir we saw today was not angry. Neither did he try to brush her off and run away, which later on had become his normal approach. Today Saahir tried to reason with her and converse. He even informed her that he was heading for the office. Do we see a bond, friendship or even an understand being formed here? This is an exceptional piece of growth for someone as guarded and reserved as Saahir but it was shown in a very subtle way.
The lamp scene, I have an inkling Saahir secretly enjoys teasing and messing around with Arzoo. It adds some color to his life. Arzoo was as focused at the task at hand as she diligently worked towards fixing the lamb. She more than likely would have gotten scared no matter what he did. If someone unexpectedly came from behind your bound to freak out. But the way he quietly tip toed right behind and asked her what she was upto layed the perfect set up for her to scream out of fear and fall right into his arms. I saw a slight bit of a smirk on Gabbar Chaudhary there when she fell into his arms. When she snaps out he than innocently asks her what is wrong? LOL real smooth Mr. Saahir!
I think more than falling in love with Gabbar Chaudhary, Arzoo is just super scared of falling in love in general. Yeah maybe it was a little hard to believe she had fallen for Gabbar Chaudary but she didn't want to fall for anyone in general. She has witnessed her entire life the pain that love brings. Not just to one person but an entire family for more than 20 some years they lived with the pain that was brought by love. And unfortunately for Arzoo, her mother set no example on how to overcome it. So what is she suppose to do? Is she supposed to let herself go and express her feelings and line herself up for the tremendous pain again? Or should she have shielded herself by just walking away? They showed the first time experience of love for girls. But the joy was very short lived, very very short lived. She seemed mesmerized by her first love and perhaps her true love being at her sight. But she snapped back into reality faster than most girls her age would. Just imagine Zara or Myrah in her place, even Dadi they would have totally lost it.
For Saahir one thing is crystal clear. He is use to the pain of love. He can go through it again for what it takes. But one thing is certain that Arzoo is his to take care of. Ever since he found out that he is the only male she looks upto she became his responsibility to care for and protect. Its not that she necessarily that she needs him but he can't go back as of now after hearing her back story. He must shield her of all harms. Thus when Saahir witnesses Arzoo trying to get herself sick in the rain, he immediately concludes it is HE who must go and get her. It is not a task to be left to the driver or servant. Who cares if he for the first time ever will have to touch his door? Who cares if it is raining? All his own problems come secondary before his concern for Arzoo. In a way Arzoo has given him strength to overcome his own issues as she has given him a greater cause to fight for a greater reason to live for. She has already succeeded in bringing back bits and pieces of the Saahir that was gone amiss for the past seven years and it is completely unaware of all her doings. This Saahir occasionally smiles, gets amused by innocent antics, occasionally likes to chill, at times even does put human emotion over business deals and now is even willing to face the rain. Arzoo comes secondary to very few things in Saahir's life. He would perhaps even put her before his own well being. Thus when they fall to the ground he is more concerned about cushioning her before shielding himself. He hesitates a little bit before touching her but if needed he is willing to take her entire arm and bring her to safety with full authority.
When she walked off he seemed confused and bewildered. Some where deep down even disheartened because she had now denied him of the authority and responsibility he though was his. Does this sequence entail any foreshadowing besides symbolism of the growth of feelings? Will Saahir try his best to reach out to Arzoo just to witness her essentially walk away? Will the change and color she brought into his life be short lived? Will he be able to hold on to her? It only gets more interesting from here on.
About Zaki, man once again it is shown how love can change you for the better. I hope he doesn't dwell in this love too deeply before he realizes it is not attainable. Perhaps it is better to be like Arzoo to be shielded from the pain of love before hand.
