I see a lot of people question arzoo's decision to stay back despite all the insult ... well here is why 😆

Pyar is all about pagalpan ... you think a person would knowingly give themselves away to anyone? Loosing control on who they are? Sometimes even leaving everything for one person? ... yet we see people do it ... because love is pagalpan ... you have no control over your feelings ... it just happens and when it happens it makes you be-parwa from everything else!
What makes SaAz different is that their relationship is not about outer looks or physical attraction ... he was drawn to her innocence and she is drawn to his pain ... and now he sees in her someone who cares enough for his pain something he has not been familiar with in years or may be ever ... and she can't help but wonder why he is so alone, so much in pain! ... There has not been a single scene where they stared into each other's eyes the lovey dovey way ... where the body touches make them go oh and ah ... where his eyes looked at her with lust or where she looked at him with desire ... yet they are drawn to each other like magnets ...just like sahir, arzoo is smitten by love ... their relationship is of pain and innocence ... and if you look closely you will know arzoo is not the only innocent one here ... Sahir too had all the innocence in the world till it was all taken away from his life by one woman who is now in coma ... as we have it love does not care for what non sense kurti apa speaks ... or what the world would have to say ... it just loves ... Arzoo is drawn by his pain and her love won't let her go until she knows what its' all about! Love does not know things like ego or self respect ... Arzoo is able to see Sahir beyond his exterior ... she has realized his insults do not mean a bad heart but a good one covered with darkness ... she wants to know the cause of his darkness ... she may not have realized yet that she is in love ... but its all too obvious she is! Sahir on his part has done and still doing what he can to push her away ... to stop her ... he too knows all to well where this will lead ... but the more he tries to push her way the more her side of love pushes her closer ... neither is to be blamed for falling in love ... ye hona hi tha!
I too have problems with characterization of Arzoo at times ... but here i do understand her!

Not everything is about women strength or feminism ... some things are to be seen in the context of story ... she is not staying in the house because of material needs (like zahra) she is staying there for her love ... and in the context of her love kurti apa does not matter, she is a nobody!!! The only one that matters is Sahir and his pain!

P.S: what i am loving about the show (despite all the complaints i have and will continue to have 😛) is that build up to their story is not based on physical beauty or appearance, steamy romance ... or long eyes locks ... but PAIN ... dard ka rishta makes for most beautiful of love stories ... and my favourite ones too ... lets see if this becomes one too

I admit..while watching I also found it wierd that Arzoo would stay back despite KAs words...especially as I found Nausheen almost wanting Alvira to convince her!
However ..on watching again...as usual...😆...I get her reasons...she is drawn to him although she doesn't know yet why and this is an opportunity to know the real him...so she doesn't really think about anything or anyone else...and she decides to stay!

Pasting what I wrote on rockstar29's thread...about the equation between Sahir and Arzoo ..which seems apt here..

Sahir was drawn to Arzoo for her spirit and her belief in her dreams. Also she lacks wordly knowledge and believes that she has the power to do what she wants irrespective of anything or anyone else...what is normally termed idealistic...she is basically in a world of her own as far as her design dreams are concerned...not thinking whether she can make it but surely it!

I think, looking at the flashbacks, that Sahir was also idealistic...an artist and a poet who was happy in his own world...but the challenge and the taunts of the one he found himself in love with forced him to change and probably, when she betrayed him..as seems apparent...he became so embittered and disillusioned...explains his refusal to enjoy simple things like rain...he just has one mission...to prove to her that he is capable of what she thought he wasn't!

Arzoo reminds him of the carefree him...the one that is struggling to come out of this shell...the one that craves comfort and care...

Arzoo doesn't treat him like others do...especially yesterday...he was stunned at her scolding and gave into her care...if only momentarily.

As for Arzoo she is confused what to make of him,,,she is drawn to him in spite of his rudeness...she has seen the pain behind the facade of an angry man...and most of all she is stunned at his loneliness among his family,,..this is alien to her who has such a loving family.so she wants to be tbe one who will comfort him...get to know why he is this way...and as she gets closer to the truth she will realise she is in love...

After that...hope the story does justice!

And yes...love is irrational...it conquers a lot of barriers and the build up to their story is certainly beautiful 😊

Awesome post nads.👏

That's exactly what I thought the moment arzoo said yes to stay back. She had announced that she was leaving. But one look of the pain and her words were important here.. "There is no in this house who cares for this pain" I felt that just said everything for her decision.

What I am loving about this show so far... There are no lovey scenes, dupatta falling in face scenes, 😛. But still they are in love with each other.

Must say hc and shivya are just perfect in their roles 👏

Beautiful post, Nadia. I may not believe in the context that love is blind, but I do believe that it happens when it's bound to happen. Given the treatment Arzoo's been bestowed upon by Kurti Aapaa or Anam, somewhere it is overshadowed by the love Alvira showers on her, a loyal friend (who's hopelessly falling in love with her), that she's found in Zaki, and of course not to forget Saahir falling for her every single day. The love and respect that's blooming in his heart for her.

Love's dark, it's hopeless, it kills you, breaks you, tears you apart- But, only Love can heal you of all the miseries and hold you when you're falling apart. Such emotions love arouses- Arzoo's but human and Sahir's but the other half she's meant to be with. I would be talking 'feminism' here, had Arzoo been character assassinated by Saahir, which of course will never happen. This is such a heart-warming story :')

Lovely post. And so true. Love makes all of us do things we wouldn't do otherwise. Been there, done that :)

It showed in their hug too. There was no physical attraction. There was only pain in their eyes.

After watching epi i thought the same...

pehli baar koi ache reason k liye ruki hai..though it sounded dump at first..par she's helpless towards her curiosity n unknown caring for him

Aarzoo is all bound n curious to know about his pain ...or else itna daant khane k baad koi ni aata..she cudn't stop her tears...n no1 sheds them unless u develop a caring for a person...

but along this way i have a feeling ...she's gonna face a heart break when comes to kno abt Zeenat 🤔...though it wont be Sahir's fault coz he clearly stopped her many a times...

Its all about what is the over powering emotion at that particular moment - love, pain or self-respect. And she clearly chose what was more important for her - her love for the main she thinks is in pain and lonely and someone who has helped her mother... So it cannot be said she is compromising on self respect.

yeah the feeling of love and longing for someone is something which is happening for her very first time, and she definitely is naive and as shown thats how she will deal with it, and slowly she will realize that why she had preferred him over her other priorities, thats because she is in LOVE...😳
