Great posts, Sush and Shweta. 😃 Enjoyed reading the takes on the thread. Shweta, loved the quotes... particularly "Beware the fury of a patient man." ⭐️
Really liked the episode. The clash between the dreamer and realist... beautifully done. I think it was not as much as Arzoo's ego taking a beating, as the pride. She is looking for vindication and acceptance. More than the designs, she wants to prove she is not at Saiyyara just because of Alvira, but actually deserved to be there.
We've all kind of been there. Our first job where we are gung-ho, all ready to make an impact. Whether its our skill sets or creativity. And then the disillusionment sets in. We realise the need to sell ourselves better, or someone else with take away the accolades for our hard work.
Saahir was the smooth operator in the mall scene. who got the message across with very few words if any. Loved the scene with Anam. He managed to connect the dots... not wait for Arzoo to prove herself. Love the ML with shaatir dimaag. 😉
The resignation letter was a real stinker. The writers are trying to bring in some light moments. Maybe to cater to the 8:30PM audience. Okay with me as long as they don't butcher the characters.
HI everyone,
I loved your analysis Sush and reading everyone's posts :)Honestly a few things have stuck out at me - one, Aarzoo is technically this very talented girl from a small city who hasn't had much experience in a big city and big company until now. She must have been traumatized when she realized that her designs actually got stolen and it looked like she would never be able to prove it. And although Sahir did acknowledge that he realizes the design was hers, he didn't exactly apologize, or give her comfort that it has been taken care of and something like this will never happen again (no fault of his, becaue I would have forgotten my apology too if someone had started giving me a lecture like she did to Sahir, lol)Secondly, whatever lesson Sahir was trying to teach Aarzoo - it feels like it missed its mark - Aarzoo is more offended about working for a company that doesn't recognize talent. Also, to me it seems very arrogant that she keeps referring to herself as such a big "designbaaz". This is apparently a girl who has never been to Mumbai before or even worked for ainternational company prior to coming to work for Saiyaraa; but she still considers herself a design genius - i feel like she has a giant chip on her shoulder. Also, yes I like Sahir's character a lot more too - becaue it is consistent. The one thing the show has not answered yet is the burning of the factory that sahir was involved in the begining of the show. It just doesn't fit with everything else we have seen so far with how calm, fair and open-minded he is. However, now I feel that there definitly is a good explanation and back story that will eventually come to light.
Hi Shweta😊Great! I'll have to check it out if it's still in the theatres.LOL yes, I still love blondes and will always have a soft spot for poor desi FL's but this one doesn't appeal to me for some reason.Loved Khushi and Paro (for the first three months) ; it seems to me that no matter who writes the show (male or female) none of them can really write an intelligent, strong and non sacrificing woman. In short they don't write anyone that is real whereas the guys are have more shades of grey and I think the reason I like this particular character is because of how he's written and portrayed. He is very calm, deliberate and almost mechanical in his thought processes and actions.
You are right Sush about Sahir getting under Arzoo's skin. He makes her uncomfortable and come out of her cool zone. And he does so by being completely cool himself. Does that make sense. Huf...I am so surprised that a character like Sahir has been penned for Indian tv. At the same time I am weary that whatever Sahir's past is about is not some flimsy issue that does not address why a guy as calm and collected would choose to blow up a factory in a small town.
Getting back to the episode, Arzoo's dream was so out of character for her and the only way to look at it is that Sahir's validation of her designbaazi and overall of her character means so much to her. I remember her reaction in jail to when he claimed that he could not say for sure about what kind of person she is...it was so much more dramatic than that of a new intern to her boss's claim that he did not know her well enough to bail her out.Sarfaraz is inconsistent. On one occasion they try to show that he is influenced by his second wife. And on another occasion he is a complete ass by his own accord. Either way the result is that he is not worthy of being anyone's father let alone father of a person like Arzoo.
