Beautiful post👍🏼
I loved this episode because it was well balanced
But one thing that I learn that ARZOO has a very BIG EGO😆...but I love her

I think this quotes describe her pricesly 😉

"There are two circumstances that lead to arrogance: one is when you're wrong and you can't face it; the other is when you're right and nobody else can face it."
Criss Jami, Diotima, Battery, Electric Personality

"The ego is the false self-born out of fear and defensiveness."
John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

Hey you posted! I was looking for it Thursday but I see your pattern now 😊 Great insight on Arzoo and her reaction to Sahir. She feels something. . . but like all desi heroines will not admit it to herself anytime in the next few months. LOL
I love the collages Shweta. 😊

I liked the episode because finally finally Anam got busted and told off; in the nicest and politest way possible. I loved when she said it was her "baby" and he said "seriously?: - you would think she would have quit while she was ahead. . . she clearly doesn't know her own brother very well to believe he wouldn't find the truth out at some point. The parting shot from him was good as well "I'll be watching you". 😛

As for Arzoo, I'm confused by her character to be honest. When I watched the other 4 Lions show I understand and identified with the FL but in this case I'm on the ML's side. For me this is a first (and no Shweta it's not because I think he looks hot in his suits - although that doesn't hurt😆) I get where he's coming from more than her and while I do agree both of them have ego I can understand his ego; I admire her belief in her self and her courage but she will learn more at this point by listening and following then by trying to forge her own path. Maybe it's the arrogance or immaturity of youth; not really sure but sometimes I don't like her character.

Zaki is adorable; I too hope he doesn't get his heart broken.

Yeah I agree about Flynn's previous work. If you are expecting the same type of product/writing that you get in Girl Gone forget about it.

I didn't see the movie; yes, I've been living under a rock, but heard it was good and that the greasy one (Ben Affleck) does a good job.

Shweta did the movie live up to the book?

Hi Sush,

Lovely thoughts on a lovely epi...😳

And Thank U, Shwetha, for Ur collages.😳

I didn't get why half the people on the thread were talking about Arzoo's ego...

I thought it was pretty clear even if it was not about her wanting attention from Sahir...

Arzoo did not come to Saiyara asking for a job. She was offered this internship and came with such dreams.
All Saiyara has offered her is insult upon insult...

She is just doing odd jobs here, and has not received any training whatsoever. On top of that, Anam steals her designs- Sahir just had to look at the envelope she had handed over the other day- But she is still asked to prove herself. Where is the ethics of this company? (Actually, I don't remember if Sahir appreciated the design as hers- if he didn't, it is one more reason to look down on Saiyara. 👎🏼And if he did, he was still putting DOWN her TALENT.👎🏼)

If I put myself in Arzoo's place- I would do the same too. So what if he proved that his marketing is greater than my talent? Does that mean I have to feed my talent to the Shark's company?😲😉

At this point, even if Sahir were to acknowledge the work, I would still walk out in Arzoo's place. I don't know what punishment he has given to the superior who stole my designs and called me a liar...and if she is still around, just because she is 'family'😲...well, I would just walk out of there!😃

Ofc, That would mean I have ZERO business sense, but I would be happier running my small time 'Arzoo Creations'- even if it is a small crowd, I am still appreciated FOR WHO I AM...not for what I am a part of!

😉 So, basically, unless Gabbar Chaudhary comes up with a lucrative offer, I am out of his cut throat business! Pardon me for having second thoughts when I realise I need this salary to run my family- U can put that down to my sense of practicality😃-...so I am willing to swallow my pride for a few more months😒 and try to work to the best of my potential...the moment I find an outlet, I am out of his Big Bad World...😳

😲 Oops! He has accepted the resignation!!!

😲 Think Again! He has just raised my salary and acknowledged my work!!!😲..May be the guy deserves a second chance even if he looks like burnt toast!!!

😆

I agree with this. He was planning on apologizing to her anyway? So clearly he knew there were unfair practices going on in a company he was in charge of. So what if Arzoo mentioned the same thing he knew was true? Further more Arzoo never put down Saiyara marketing aspect she just stated how can it operate with such unfair practices? Agreed she wasnt able to prove herself as she is not as good as scheming as some others but it doesnt take away the fact that it did happen. So for her complaint of simple injustice he decides to prove to her that her talent is nothing without Saiyara? He is again not downgrading her talent which he knows she has otherwise he wouldn't have chosen it for Jannat collections.

I know the Arzoo they showed in the beggining would have simply left the company. As her self respect matters. She doesnt carry her father's sir name for this very reason. She wouldnt have written in the immature things in the resignition letter that she wrote in it. I feel to make up for the injustices that happened to her so far they are also trying to make Arzoo make mistakes and show that Sahir forgives her. Hopefully he will acknowledge her talent one day by promoting her. CVs are basically saying hard work, talent and an earnest effort to succeed can take you no where without big names backing you up? I know she committed some mistakes in the beginning but that was the very beginning of he working career. She did work hard on those designs.

PS. I am not saying Arzoo was completely right. She was in no place to say that Saiyara would shut down. Its been running for many years perhaps they know what they are doing. I am not even liking what she wrote in the resignation letter (though it was funny 😆) Its a bit out of character for her.

You are right Sush about Sahir getting under Arzoo's skin. He makes her uncomfortable and come out of her cool zone. And he does so by being completely cool himself. Does that make sense. Huf...I am so surprised that a character like Sahir has been penned for Indian tv. At the same time I am weary that whatever Sahir's past is about is not some flimsy issue that does not address why a guy as calm and collected would choose to blow up a factory in a small town.
Getting back to the episode, Arzoo's dream was so out of character for her and the only way to look at it is that Sahir's validation of her designbaazi and overall of her character means so much to her. I remember her reaction in jail to when he claimed that he could not say for sure about what kind of person she is...it was so much more dramatic than that of a new intern to her boss's claim that he did not know her well enough to bail her out.

Sarfaraz is inconsistent. On one occasion they try to show that he is influenced by his second wife. And on another occasion he is a complete ass by his own accord. Either way the result is that he is not worthy of being anyone's father let alone father of a person like Arzoo.

Forget about who is right and who is wrong...Arzoo's reaction is according to her character sketch...she is not calculating ...she does not make decisions weighing all pros and cons...Her family and her self respect are the most important things to her...she would rather leave than stay at a place to be insulted...that's just her...

What is dramatic...is her reaction...,the killing dream, the resignation letter...and all that...that's because they want to make the story interesting ...and fun...that's OK by me...there is exaggeration in both characters traits ...to bring out the drama...We don't mind...right?

Precisely, Sush!😳
I can connect to a show only when I can it see it through the protagonists' eyes. And so far, both have stuck to their traits- with a lil bit of exaggeration...Bring on the drama.😉😆
And I do get it when people say they feel she is being egoistic...they are seeing her through Sahir's eyes.😳

Hi Shweta😊

Great! I'll have to check it out if it's still in the theatres.

LOL yes, I still love blondes and will always have a soft spot for poor desi FL's but this one doesn't appeal to me for some reason.

Loved Khushi and Paro (for the first three months) ; it seems to me that no matter who writes the show (male or female) none of them can really write an intelligent, strong and non sacrificing woman. In short they don't write anyone that is real whereas the guys are have more shades of grey and I think the reason I like this particular character is because of how he's written and portrayed. He is very calm, deliberate and almost mechanical in his thought processes and actions.

Well written post Sush and yummylicious collages UltimateRudra 😃

I love how Sahir gave it off to Anam 😉

Also it was nice to see female lead for once gets defeated not the always Ms. Know it all and winning every deal as it was necessary for Aarzoo to know not only talent counts in these times but brand and marketing Are equally important 😛

I like the way Sahir showed it to her and made her realize it 😊

Looking forward the resignation track and according to SBS it sure gonna be a funny one for sure 😆
