There is a reason why people tune to Sony. And a show like CID have been running for almost two decades. That is the channel's USP.

Crime shows are the only successful shows on the channel!
Along with KBC!
Not only CC a lot of shows wrap up quickly.. I don't think any daily show does well there!
But the new shows they have started are all of a family genre which means a healthy dose of kitchen politics!
I don't know if they are trying to get in the kitchen politics loving audience but the new shows do have it!
This show shouldn't have so much of it considering it is a love story!

Agree with you about the crime shows. And the life span of shows.

Sony is perhaps the only desi show channel I watch regularly. Even the family dramas don't have the regular kitchen politics. The ones that introduced it, wrapped up within months. The women are much stronger characters than their SP or Colors counterparts.

4L has moved away from the IPK and Geet genre. They learnt their lesson the hard way. The other show on air has loads of family drama, but rarely kitchen politics. Atleast as much as I have watched. That channel caters to that kind of audience. Even a show like JA was converted to a saas bahu drama at one point of time.

Agree with TM. The romance has been ground into the dust by the execrable Kurti Apa, who could do with her mouth wired shut for a bit.

And so begins the journey of Aarzoo's turning from the '(wo)man of the house' into slave labour and repression. Already apologising for re-cooking a meal that was then thrown on the floor. No sign of the lioness who brained the ML on the back of his head. All the reaction we got was a bleat about food being wasted. How interesting that the original Aarzoo only resurfaces where her father, or Sahir are concerned. For everyone else, she's the paler, more docile version.
And then we have Aarzoo telling tales about work to Alvira Auntie, predictable revenge and an upcoming nasty aftertaste with ML abuse (leaving her to rot in jail with added character assassination) on the back of an MU.
So, seems like Gul wants to take the 'Muslim Social' way with probably romance as the packaging - every channel has its own Muslim Social now, and so Sony must as well. And the romance was just the carrot. I hope I'm proved wrong, but Kurti Apa on top of clichs and rehashed rabba ve moments are sinking my hopes.

I think he bails her out in the end when her family comes there!
After that is when the drama starts.. But there are no smart villains yet... I dread kurti aapa and daadi scenes every episode!

@Bails her out: Gosh that's a relief! The other would have been a bit too bas***dly.
@ Family's arrival: Def Alvira's got something up her sleeve. Something that requires Aarzoo to stay and either play Jane Eyre to Sahir and his not-quite-alright wife/girlfriend/whoever is the dark secret he's got tucked away, or to settle down Zaki.
@ Smart villains: All the finesse of a bulldozer!!
@Dreading KA and Daadi: Agreed, and also Daddy and second wife!! The only redeeming characters in the show so far are Sahir, Zaki and Aarzoo, although Aarzoo too tries my patience every now and then.

this is my first gul khan show...and i had a lot of expectations from her!
she is known for her amazing romantic tracks and scenes...and her leads are always superhit jodis.

being hc's fan...i know one thing for sure...nobody romances the way he does on screen...i'll not be exxagerating wen i say he's is definitely the king of romance on telly.

wen i first heard hc was doing gul's show...the first thing that struck me was...2 masters coming together= magic on screen

but i am highly disappointed!

the show is not even giving a chance for the leads to interact...forget abt developing their chemistry...they r not even getting proper scenes together!

wen was the last time we saw them together? last wednesday...?
one full week passes without a proper scene between just the leads!
this is no way to run a passionate romantic show!

if situations r not there...u have to create situations to develop the chemistry...and its abt time the priorities r sorted out by both the channel and PH

Thank you everyone for agreeing with me 😃

I hope the makers take some feedback from viewers and do some changes to the story and we get to se more of leads interaction in future 😊

Agree 100% .I only started to watch the show because of hc and what I read in an article but in the article they never put kurti pic or wouldn't have started to watch it. I was forcing my self to watch the show ever since anam entry (do not like her not because she is doing negative role just because the actress is crap at acting only my opinion) so thought will fast forward her scene (plus point of watching online) but then the kurti ???????????? I can not get why on earth they bring her? in that getup and I was like what she is servent/nani and this much power. come on any of you know anyone who gives this much power to servants because I don't. And don't have to say I HATE SAAS BAHU BACK STABING KITCHEN POLITICS SHOWS.
just whish hc had done some research b4 signing this show.
if he was not in this show wouldn't have watched 2nd episode .
