SaharaOne to launch a new show on relatio

SaharaOne Television€™s new offering, the afternoon show €˜Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan€™ shall go on air on Monday, July 25. The thought-provoking entertainer, Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan (HKKC) raises the much-needed debate on marriage & relationships.

The show will deal with current issues pertaining to marriage such as the role of extramarital affairs, economic independence among women, nuclear families and the mobile and the internet revolutions that are increasingly becoming the cause for divorces.

Swapnil Joshi, who plays the role of Siddhant in HKKC, commented, €œSeriously speaking, like every relationship, marriage needs to be nurtured, pampered, looked after and worked upon. Marriage, I would say, is like a mirror. If you are nice, then the relationship is nice to you.€

So does the Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan mean freedom or is it just a synonym for Hathkadiyan? €œIt is choodiyan for the women and hathkadiyan for the men,€ quips Joshi. In his real life, Joshi is happily married to a dentist for the last one year.

Snigdha Akolkar, who essays the central character of Shyamalee in HKKC, remarks, €œI think you need to share your life with somebody you love and marriage is all about that! It is definitely choodiyan for me.€

Reena €˜Rani€™ Kapoor of Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki fame agrees with Snigdha. €œMarriage means you get a companion for life; someone who is close to you, someone you can fall back on, and completely emotionally depend on him. Marriage is the best thing in the world.€

Says TV personality Mandira Bedi, €œNo hathkadiyan please€ for me, it is simply Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan. It is not that marriage is a bed of roses or that there are no fights; a lot of work goes into a successful marriage. The success of marriage also depends on whom you get married to. I am married to a wonderful man and I am very lucky.€

The afternoon show aimed at the empowered woman of today, shall be telecast from Mondays to Thursdays at 3:30 pm, and will be repeated at 9:30 pm on the same days.
