How can a masi treat her niece so shabbily? I've always heard a brother can desert his sister but a sister will always stand by her. Forget the sister even her Nani was treating her daughter like everyone else. Whenever my mother in law watches this show I go inside my room. I just can't handle it.

ML's grandparents are also not treated well. His grandfather uses his pension and since it's lesser than the son's income he has no say in the family matters. He keeps tight lipped when his parents degrade his eldest chacha and Chachi for their low status. It's unbearable. I agree. Ghum is far better than this show.

I think Jhanak is an illegitimate child but her mom had written a letter in which she mentioned that her father was the guruji who's a dance teacher. I think either he had raped her or married her secretly and when he came to know of her pregnancy refused to accept her. The family doesn't know about it but the ML knows since the letter is with him. Jhanak's family hated both her and her mother. They didn't even want her to study. Jhanak's mom was always criticised and one day she couldn't bear and so she committed suicide. They made it look like it's a crime to be a single mother. This show was pathetic from the beginning and it's becoming worse. ML''s family think money can buy everything.
