Some things in ghum might be close to reality but it's still very very unrealistic.
It was much more realistic, logical and felt like a real story when they were following KD.

Baki ITV shows me bhi aisa hi hota hai. FL is always a social worker and not very rich and successful. While the vamp and villains are very rich and educated.
When they were following KD Leena made sure to give nice career related tracks and how she was such a successful topper.
In kd there were seperate tracks for the career and family wasn't necessarily there in those tracks. They were dedicated to EMON'S medical career and were realistic too.
The realistic ghum is gone. It's just a typical ITV show.
