At Dev's party......

Dev comes to the dance floor…

He finds Geet dancing with Maan…

Dev asks Geet for a dance…

Maan makes way for Dev…

Geet couldn’t refuse as that would be an insult to Maan…

They start dancing…

Maan is content to see Geet with someone who is as simple as she is…

Life is beautiful and happy only when two similar people come together…

Maan is happy that Geet came with him to the inauguration, it all looks good with a hope of a new beginning for her….

Maan wishes that she finds her true happiness this time…

Later Maan makes an excuse that he has to leave immediately…

Dev is not ready to part with Geet so soon…

The party has just begun and it’s not fair that they she leaves…

It’s like Geet is the jaan of his party and there is no point of celebration for Dev if she leaves….

Maan: I’m so sorry Dev, but it’s very important, I hope you would understand

Dev: you haven’t even had dinner

Maan: you know I don’t have dinner usually

Dev: what about Geet? I don’t want her to miss it

Geet: I’m not feeling hungry

Dev: why don’t you stay back Geet? I’ll drop you later, it’s my birthday wish

Maan: no problem, I’ll send the driver back

Geet looks at Maan angrily…

How could he leave her with a stranger like this?

Maan understands her feelings…

Geet pulls him aside…

Geet: are you kidding me? I can’t stay here without you

Maan: but it’s not a problem, Khannas are like family, Dev will be disappointed

Geet: Dev will be disappointed? What about me?

Maan: I’m sure you won’t be disappointed too if you stay back

Geet: what do you want to say?

Maan: I want you to stay back not for Dev but for me, I would like to fulfill his small wish on his big day, I think he likes your company, I would stay with him all night if I could, believe me I don’t want to leave him alone like this, at least you could stay till the end

Geet: I don’t believe that you would just leave me like this with a stranger

Maan: Dev is my high school buddy, trusting him is not any different from trusting me

Geet: I don’t understand your weird hypothesis

The two girls hit it out together leaving Dev alone…

They have successfully ruined Dev’s Birthday wishes…

Dev has to be content watching Geet grove to the music beautifully…

The girls get exhausted after an hour of dancing masti…

Dev looks at Geet and smiles…

Pari: hatto bhai, bahut jor se bhook lagi hai

Dev: hare, tumme apne bhai ki parwah hi nahi, I am waiting here for you all the while and you act as of I’m invisible

Geet gives her plate to Dev…

Dev: I’ll get it Geet

Geet wants to shut his mouth first…

Geet: thanks for waiting, now you can eat

Pari: ye lo Geet

Pari gives her plate to Geet…

Dev: so you two have become friends

Pari: bhai, pehle khane toh do, phir baat karna

Geet is relieved… she is glad to have Pari as her aid…

Dev had to let them enjoy the food… poor guy, he now regrets introducing Pari to Geet…

Pari: try this Geet, it’s delicious

Pari suggests Geet to have the malai kabab…

Both of them love their food more than anything else… they are not the ones to worry about the calories…

Dev is watching Geet eat like a monster… he wonders how she remains slim after feasting like that….

Pari is on the heavier side… she looks plump…

But Geet has the perfect figures…

Later Dev drops Geet… he keeps chatting with her continuously that his voice kept ringing in her ears even in her sleep…

Next morning…

Dev comes to KC…

He goes to meet Dadi…

Dadi is surprised to see Dev…

Dev: halo darling, how are you?

Dadi: toh abhi aap ko hummari yaad aayi, shaithan

Dev: mein toh abhi abhi India aaya hoon

Dadi: I’m not talking to you, you didn’t invite me for your birthday party

Dev: I’m really sorry darling, I just forgot

Dadi: I know, I can’t come anyways

Dev: I’ll come to celebrate your birthday, we’ll rock then

Dadi: you forgot about India all these days, it’s been almost two years na?

Dev: haan, now I am back

Dadi: did you meet Maan?

Dadi becomes sad….

Dev: I’m sorry dadi, so much happened in these years

Dadi: tumne Maan se baat kiya kya?

Dev: nahi, I have come for that only

Dadi: I’m happy that you are here, I hope at least you could knock some sense into him

Dev: you don’t worry darling, I’ll take care of it

Geet comes to give the glass to Maan…

Maan: I don’t think so, what’s wrong with me?

Maan pretends to be looking for that difference…

Geet: don’t act too smart, I don’t like all this

Maan: what did I do now?

Geet: I know you are avoiding me, you are scared

Maan: I’m not scared of you Geet

Maan gets closer…

Maan: don’t bluff, why would I be scared of you Geet? Tumme kab samajh mein aayega ki mujhe koi farak nahi padtha

Geet: I know you are not scared of me, but you must be scared of yourself, you can’t keep running away from your feelings forever like this

Maan: don’t talk rubbish, Maan Singh Khurana is not used to running away like you, it would be better if you start accepting the truth sooner

Maan can’t keep looking into her eyes, he feels so vulnerable that she has mastered the art of reading his mind by looking into his eyes…

Maan turns and looks the other side…

Geet: truth? I get it now, you are scared of the truth, you are running away from the truth

Maan: your are the one scared of accepting the bitter truth

Geet: what truth?

Maan: that you never meant anything to me, and you will never ever mean anything to me, you don’t have any place in my life, you never had any

Geet: you are a big liar, why don’t you tell your truth looking into my eyes

Maan looks at her....

He is unable to make eye contact though…

Geet: what happened? Why did you stop?

Maan: why are you torturing me Geet? Is it my fault that I wanted to see you happy?

Geet: it is, even if I accept that I have no place in your life, what about the fact that you have become a part of every bit of my life, you can’t deny that na?

Maan: that’s your problem Geet, you have to let me go

Geet: why should I?

Maan: why don’t you understand the simple fact that my heart is already occupied, there is no place for you whatsoever

Geet: I know you don’t have much space left in your heart, I don’t want the space that is already occupied, I know you should have a teeny tiny bit of space left for yourself, I want a part of that bit, that’s more than enough for me

Maan: you don’t understand that there is nothing left for me as such which I can share with you

Maan just walks off saying that…

Geet keeps watching him leave…

Part – 34

Maan is a confused soul now…

He doesn’t know what he has done by accepting Geet’s wish.. .

Yes, he wants to see her happy…

Yes, she makes a huge difference in his life…

Yes, she makes him forget about his past and think about her… .

Yes, he needs her by his side as a Saathi, as a pillar of strength….

Yes, she makes his life more beautiful and makes him long for more….

Yes, he likes her, he wants her, he needs her, he loves her….

Yes, he is happy with the decision, but will his happiness lost long?

Maan has said yes to the wedding, but he is still not sure if it’s for the good or not…

Maan tries to sleep but he can’t stop doubting the decision…..

He is scared if this will bring more trouble than expected…

Maan rewinds his past and thinks about how he had pledged himself unknowingly overwhelmed by the hatred feeling about his own life….

Maan got married to Sameera and it was a grand wedding, like any other big fat Indian wedding….

Dadi was so keen to get Maan married though he was only 23 then… Maan has not yet settled in business properly, he was still in his learning phase….

Dadi’s mobility was more and more affected and she had to use a wheelchair against her wish…. Maan realized that dadi needs someone to support her more than him..... Maan agreed to marry anyone whom the two ladies choose for him…

Dadi got the proposal of Sameera from an acquaintance, Annie and Dadi instantly liked the girl, as soon as they saw her picture, she was so beautiful and homely…

They decided that she was perfect for Maan, Maan too liked her picture and had no problem if everyone liked her…

Dadi immediately started the wedding talks and fixed the wedding within a month…

Dadi was adamant that she won’t get any support (wheelchair) until Maan’s wedding… moreover Annie was also there for her second delivery… she was postponing her return to Australia just for Maan’s wedding… she knew she can’t leave dadi alone in that condition… Maan had very little time at home, he had a hectic schedule with the revamp of KC going on… he even skipped most of the pre-wedding process, Luckily Arjun and Annie took care of everything…

The wedding took place in Delhi ..

Dadi managed to attend the whole wedding without the wheelchair, with Annie’s help..

Sameera was a little reserved type, but she got attached to Dadima soon…

Sameera never expressed herself openly but dadi made sure Maan spent a lot of time with her.. Sam was very close to her sister, Niantara…

They kept talking on the mobile most of the time…

Maan understood her bonding with her elder sister who took charge of the family after their father ran away with another woman leaving their mother to suffer alone…

Sam and Tara’s father left them when they were 12and 9, they lived with their dadaji and dadi under the shelter of their bade papa, who ran the family business…

It was a joint family, the whole family supported Pammy, their choti Bahu and took care of her like their daughter….

But Tara felt insecure, with her father not being there as the head of their family, she always had the feeling of a step child, or a extra burden…

She hated the fake sympathies of her badi maa and her children…

When she was eighteen, she moved out with her mother and sister to a rented accommodation, and demanded their rightful share from the business…

Then she fell in love with her college buddy, Pawan and married him, Pawan is a very soft spoken, gentleman…

He accepted Tara’s conditions for marriage, her family will be with her and she will keep supporting them forever…

Pawan’s parents were still working and they live independently at their farm…

Pammy and Sameera moved to Pawan’s home at Shimla along with Tara after their wedding…

Sam stayed mostly at her college hostel in Delhi…

But she considered her sister’s place as her maika after her marriage…

Maan was not comfortable going to Pawan’s place, and he doesn’t consider it as his sasuraal… Maan did meet Sam at Delhi in her college itself..

Tara was upset that Maan never visited Shimla even after marriage….

Sam had a lot of arguments with Maan regarding that, but Maan was adamant…

Soon after marriage, Sam got pregnant… Tara asked Maan to send her sister to Shimla…

Tara was already pregnant, she postponed her pregnancy till Sam’s wedding…. Then she was 3 months ahead…

Maan wanted to be with his wife at this time, he refused to send Sam… Tara sent Pammy to Delhi to take care of her little sister…

Maan was busy with his business and Pammy’s stay at KM helped Sam a lot, with Dadi on wheelchair, she needed an elder to take care of her…

Pammy had to go back to Shimla for Tara’s delivery… this time too Maan refused to send Sam with her, for he thought Sam won’t get enough attention with the newborn taking all the time…

Pammy decided to come back to Delhi during delivery, she trusted Maan to take care of her daughter in the meantime… Maan did cut down his office time and tried to be with Sam mostly…

A couple of months after Tara’s delivery, Sam got uncomfortable with severe abdomen pain, Maan rushed her to the hospital…

There was still 28 days for the due date… Sam delivered Mansi before time, and during the delivery she suffered a cardiac arrest and died soon after delivery…

Tara blamed Maan for her sister’s death, she argued that Sam would have survived if she was with them at Shimla…

Tara took Mansi with her threatening that Maan would kill her too . .

At that time Maan was so shocked by the loss of his wife that he believed Tara’s words and took the blame on himself…

Then only he tried to run away from his grave mistake, as he believed that it was all his fault at that time… after a week of absconding, Maan came back to Delhi and went into depression then…

Tara breast fed Mansi too along with her daughter, Rithusa… she took care of her like her own mother….

Maan recovered with the help of his family, Specially Annie and Arjun….

Maan was so badly affected by the loss and taken over by the guilt that he forgot that he was a father...

His wife left but his daughter is very much alive…

Maan had a tough time to get rid of the nightmares of killing his wife unknowingly that haunted him day and night….

He was actually scared to meet Mansi for he thought that he didn’t deserve to be a father for he had even failed as a husband….

Maan didn’t want Mansi too to suffer b’coz of his inability to take care of his loved ones… moreover, taking care of a baby is not easy, and with zero experience Maan couldn’t even think about, how would he dare to ask Tara to give his daughter back?

He didn’t have the confidence in himself then… he was not even in a condition to look after himself….

Even Dadi and Annie were only worried about Maan…

They couldn’t see him in pain, he was torturing himself for no reason, he punished himself and was at the verge of becoming insane completely….

Annie helped to pull him out of that misery with the help of a therapist…

Maan slowly started recovering….

Though he has come out of that terrible episode, he is yet to forgive himself for letting down his wife when she needed him the most..

Had he found about her discomforts earlier, then this might not have happened….

That’s what everyone said… specially Sam’s family….

They lost a dear member and were frustrated mainly because none of them was not there with her when she was battling for her life…

In order to save themselves from the guilty feelings they conveniently put the entire blame on Maan…

Maan took the whole responsibility on himself, so they had every reason to make him accountable for their loss…

Even Dadi wished to send Sam with her mother….

After a long struggle Maan is back to normal, he has started interacting with Dadi and Annie finally…

Annie asked her sons Saransh and to keep their mama occupied with something or other… that was their vacation assignment…

They were only happy to be from their parents and instead trouble their mama for a change….

Saransh, the elder one, was the real task maker… he eventually succeeded in pulling Maan out of the misery by making Maan work for him… that’s right… if MSK ever had a boss, then it would be Saransh only…

Annie was not wrong when she kept saying that Saransh is more like MSK… He had inherited the Khurana genes… he had the same attitude, same stubbornness, same short temper, same ego and same honesty…. But they are emotionally very weak… they show off like a strong personality with very little emotions, but they are actually very sensitive and break easily….

Maan had no answers for the mini version of himself, Saransh would pester Maan to play with her them…

One time he would ask to build paper rockets from different diy videos and wouldn’t stop until Maan made one that crossed the compound wall successfully…

The next day it was the hunt for the perfect kite .. the next day, a model boat….

His list was never ending…

Maan was irritated at first, but he couldn’t show his frustrations on the two kids…

He had no other go but to fulfill his nephew’s mission in order to get a break..

This kept Maan away from his own problems to some extent and he started to take charge of his life once again… just for Annie and his nephews…

Just to clear the doubts of everyone.....

You meant why Maan doesn't share his problem with everyone specially Dadi...

You know Dadi's condition(0n a wheelchair due to Parkinson's)... That's why she couldn't go meet Mansi....

Dadi is of the opinion that Mansi is with her Nani due to Dadi's inability...

So she is trying to get a bahu to support Maan in raising his daughter and also get Maan out of his sulking...

Maan would not want to put pressure on Dadi as he is capable of taking care of his problem on his own...

And Geet is yet to become a part of his life, she is in no way related to whatever happened in Maan's life... .

Maan wants Geet to get at least a normal uncomplicated start to her married life for he could not give her the happiness of a dreamy wedding like others... She has already struggled a lot to come this far...

She deserves a better early married life rather than start it with Maan's problems...

Mansi's return is solely Maan's responsibility as far as Maan is concerned....

Maan would certainly get Geet's support if he opens up and Geet would agree to postpone the wedding....

But even if the wedding happens after Mansi comes back, Tara would not keep quiet, she will create problems then too....

Maan wants to tackle Tara first and having known about Tara, he would want to keep Geet away from Tara as long as possible....

Now back to the story....

Dadi plans the wedding instead of an engagement…

Dadi calls the panditji and fixes the earliest possible date…

Everyone agrees to a simple wedding knowing about Maan’s loss…

Dadi is all ready to set the traps for Maan…. Dadi tells the secret about Maan being deceived by the name of an engagement, only to Geet, for she is the only one in contact with Maan…

Dadi doesn’t even tell Annie or her family about the wedding plans… they are not going to attend as they can’t come in such a short notice all the way from Canada…

Geet is so happy… she is careful not to disclose the truth to Maan… she can’t hide her excitement though…

Geet won’t be able to enjoy their courtship days like normal couple… but she is not marrying a normal guy, she is marrying the MSK, the father…

Usually the boy is after the girl, the boy declares his love first and he is the one who proposes to marry her…

Here everything is just the opposite….

Now Geet is only happy to cheat Maan, for she wants to be there for him at the earliest possible at any cost…

More than anything else she wants Maan to get back what is his, and only his now after the demise of his partner… she wants him to own his daughter who is literally a part of him and no one should dare to deny him his right to fatherhood due to his single status…

Geet is desperate to see him happily united with his daughter…

Maan is happy to get engaged because that will be the first step from his side in this relationship which he wants to take in order to vouch his commitment to Geet and it is a way for him to tell her that he loves her too…

Geet calls Maan all the time and tries to engage him in the shadi process…

Geet: Maan, these are the décor catalogue, which one do you like?

Maan: whatever you want Geet, it’s your shadi

Geet: no, it’s our shadi

Maan: but it’s more special for you than me

Geet: what? Isn’t our shadi special for you?

Maan: I mean, this is the first time for you

Geet: I’m fed up with your second marriage excuse to escape, it’s the first for you too with me, I want you to be equally interested, I want you to do this for yourself and not just for me

Maan: but Geet, you don’t understand how hard it is for me

Geet: I don’t want to understand anything, I just want you to at least pretend to be excited, once for my sake

Geet shows her unhappiness and tells him that his attitude is killing her excitement…

Geet: your zero involvement makes me sad and not happy about this shadi, for god’s sake Maan, this is going to be my first and last marriage, not everyone gets a second chance like you

Maan understands her frustrations…. He then tries to get involved…

Geet makes him a part of every minute detail… be it her lehenga or her jewelry, specially the engagement ring…… it’s not that easy to fool the MSK…

She makes sure that Maan doesn’t come in his waist coat for their wedding…

Maan doesn’t understand why so much hype around a simple engagement…

But he is scared to interfere in Geet’s happiness… she is already given a glimpse of the importance of this shadi for her and how much she is excited about the engagement ceremony…

He is not going to be the reason for making her special day any less owing to his personal status…. In fact he wants to make it more than special for Geet…

So he takes her orders seriously and tries to fulfill her wishes sincerely…. Anything to make the girl, who is ready to do anything for him, happy….

Upon reaching Hoshiarpur the day before the engagement, Dadima and Maan have planned to stay at the Khurana’s ansestral home at Hoshiarpur…

It was under the care of the Handas only…. They have maintained it carefully as it also comes under their responsibility along with the farmlands…

Its so beautiful and Dadima regrets not introducing Maan and Annie to their native place and the house where their grandfather was born… this was abandoned after it became too difficult to maintain, moreover after the farmhouse was built on the farms, they shifted there and used it for staying whenever they came here….

the situation was like that, she had more problems with the loss of her son and daughter-in-law in quick succession and it was a such huge task managing her home at Delhi that she had no time to think about Hoshiarpur…

Maan is surprised by the way the house has been maintained as if someone is living there, even though they have not even visited it for decades…. His respect for Darji and the entire Handa pariwar increases very much…. Every year during the local festival, darji made sure this house was also whitewashed like their own and the farmhouse…. He knew the value of this place as he has visited it in childhood days often when this was like the only castle of Hoshiarpur…

Maan is not only impressed by Geet but also her family… starting from Ranno, everyone has shown so much love and respect for the Khuranas, specially Maan…

Maan has only realized very lately, about their immense trust in the khurana khandaan, for they never saw Maan with a different eye, like everyone else sees him after the tragedy, with pity and judgmental, like he is someone cursed for his sins..

Handas always think about any kind of relationship with the Khuranas very highly, like some treasure… starting from Darji’s friendship with his dadaji….

Even after knowing Maan’s condition, they welcomed him with the same honor they gave Mr. Amarnath Khurana…

Maan is happy that he is marrying their daughter…

Knowing about dadima’s illness, the Handas bring Geet to the Khurana home to get Dadi’s blessings before the wedding…

Geet is looking forward to seeing Maan…

Part – 50

Dadi: Geet, kahan jaa rahe ho beta?

Geet: dadi pehle hi mein late hoon, Maan bahut naraaz hoke chale gaye honge?

Dadi laughs…

Dadi: Maan, ye teek nahi hai, biwi se koi naraaz hotha hai kya?

Geet turns back and finds Maan waiting for her without having breakfast…

Maan smiles…: aaj se mein chahta toh bhi naraaz nahi ho sakta, ab toh mein Geet se bina pooche kuch bhi nahi kar sakta, mere secretary hothe hi Geet mujhe koi bhi ladhki se directly baat nahi karne dethi, ab Biwi bhi ban gayi toh mera bolthi band

Geet is embarrassed.. koi aasise baat ko dadi se kehta hai kya?

Geet: aaisa kuch nahi hai Dadima, ye bahut joot bolte hai

Dadi: Maan joot bhi bolte hai ab? Geet, aapne Maan ko bahut bigaad diya hai

Maan: you are right Dadi, aaise hi chalta toh MSK ka kya hoga? Issiliye hi mein iss shadi se dartha tha

Geet: kya?

Dadi: Maan, aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai, Geet ko aur tang mat karna

Maan: mein kitne dher se apne biwi ke saath khane ke liye wait kar raha hoon, Geet jaldi aao, humne office jaana hai ya nahi?

Geet goes and haves breakfast with Maan… she is happy that Maan was waiting for her…

Maan is happy to see her happy….

At KC…

Now both act as if nothing changed… anyway Adi is happy to see Geet back in her bindass mode…

The whole office has got the news of the hit jodi of Saxena’s party…

Geet takes her time to go to their cabin, ab donno ek ho gaye na?

She goes and sits on Maan’s chair, she wants to know the secret behind Maan’s aura and demeanor that worked like magic on Geet every day which helped her sustain even though Maan tried to reject her love desperately….

Geet feels like she is sitting on Maan’s lap… it’s his spot and no one ever tried to occupy it.. Geet calls Pinky from Maan’s intercom…

Upon sitting on the desk Geet finds that she has acquired all the power of MSK, and she is commanding already…

Pinky comes right away thinking that it must be Maan sir who asked Geet to call her…

Pinky enters and is shocked to see Geet sitting in Maan’s chair….

Geet: sshh Pinky, I’m the MD now, please show some respect to this place

Geet gets off the chair…

Geet: ye meri baat ko kyun nahi maanthi? Toh iss chair mein koi power nahi hai jaisa meine socha, haina?

Geet ko kya patha ki sara magic Maan ka hai… Maan kahan bhi jaatha Geet ko aaisa hi apne paas keenchtha…

Geet goes to her desk and finds a red rose along with a secret note waiting for her…

She quickly picks up the note and reads it….

“welcome to your office, Mrs. Maan, you are not my secretary anymore, you are my very own CEO, I’m at your service anytime” always yours, MSK.

Geet is overjoyed seeing that note….

She runs to see Maan in the conference room…

She forgets to knock and crashes in the middle of the meeting….

Everyone one is surprised looking at her…

Geet: Maan

Maan looks at her standing there dumbfounded and panting heavily from the running… he recognizes the note in her hand…

Maan: Geet, kya baat hai? Is it anything important? Has Dadima sent any urgent message?

Geet now gets that Maan is trying to help her….

Geet: ji Maan sir, it’s very urgent it seems

Maan: what’s the matter Geet?

Maan pretends to be worried and looks at her as if he is waiting for Dadi’s message…

Geet turns and looks at everyone…

Maan: ek minute

Maan gets up from his place and moves towards Geet…

Geet is stunned… what is he doing? Why is he coming near me?

Maan gets more closer and whispers in a low voice…

Maan: what happened Geet? Did you see my welcome note?

Geet: hmm

Maan: so, what can I do for you now?

Maan looks at her with a naughty smile….

Maan pretends to be disappointed…

Adi couldn’t believe Geet… she has just stepped inside KC, and she wants a cabin?

Even Sasha doesn’t have a separate cabin ..

Adi laughs… ha ha ha ha ha

Geet: what happened to him?

Pinky: I don’t know

Adi: Geet, there is only one cabin in this office, and that is Maan sir’s

Geet: ok, I’ll be happy to share the cabin with him

Adi and Pinky are shocked… Maan would kill them if they know that they are a part of this game… maybe they shouldn’t have talked with this girl….

Adi: Maan sir won’t be that happy I think

Pinky: Adi, kya keh rahe ho?

Pinky is yet to understand what is happening….

Adi: Geet, you can take my desk if you want, I’ll move to the reception desk itself, there’s a lot of room there

Maan ignores Geet completely… he is giving an angry look at Adi…

Maan: Adi, may I know what is happening in my office?

Adi: Geet sir, secretary sir

Maan: what? Adi, this is no place for your games, this is Maan Singh Khurana’s office

Maan warns Geet indirectly…

Geet makes fun of Maan…

Adi thinks it’s better for him to leave…

He already knows that Dadima is the one who is behind all the trouble…

At the restaurant….

Maan has already booked a table at a fine dining restaurant…

Maan goes to the table reserved for them and Geet follows him like a kid…

Its in a corner facing the garden, very private…

They wait for the server when the restaurant manager comes and tells something to Maan….

Geet: kya hua?

Maan: kuch nahi

Just then an elderly man comes to the table….

Old man: halo beautiful, my wife wants to invite you for our anniversary celebrations, would you like to join us and be our guests of honour tonight?

The manager was just conveying that message to Maan…

The elderly couple are celebrating their 50th anniversary and when they saw Maneet they wanted to celebrate with this young couple who are yet to step into their love life….

She looks at Maan for his response…

Seeing that old man Maan is reminded of his dadaji…

Aunty has a few drinks occassionally but nowadays she has stopped drinking and also restricts uncle…

Uncle is in no mood to listen to her today…

Aunty also doesn’t mind him having a good time….

Aunty orders mock tails for the ladies…

Uncle asks Maan to give him company…

Maan politely refuses as he has to drive back…

Uncle insists he has a drink at least…

But when uncle compels Maan to drink again Aunty gives her drink to Maan and asks him to pretend to give uncle company…

Then she gives Geet’s drink too…

Aunty doesn’t know that uncle had asked to spike the ladies drinks for fun…

Maan ends up being drunk badly…

Maan is in no condition to drive…

Geet feels helpless…

Aunty asks Geet not to worry for they can take a cab…

Geet books a cab for the four of them…

Aunty thought Maneet could drop Uncle and Aunty on their way as their home is nearby…

Geet holds Maan and guides him to the cab while Uncle feels sorry for his mistake…

Aunty apologizes to Geet for what happened and suggests that Maneet stay at their place for the night as she thought she couldn’t trust the cab driver…

Geet too was very scared and she is more than happy to stay back with Aunty…

Maan: I love you Geet, I’m really grateful that you were determined to marry me, promise me that you will never leave me, I need you Geet

Geet who didn’t expect that is so happy not for herself but for Maan, this is what she wanted, she wanted him to break his shields and start loving his life again… this confirms that he is ready to give their relationship his 100% and all her fears of him accepting her proposal for her happiness is not true…

Now she really feels like Mrs. Geet Maan Singh Khurana….

Shadi is for the others, but this is what Geet yearned for.. his acceptance without any reservations…

At KM…. Dadima is back…

Maan has strictly warned Dadima about any more drama about the wedding…

Dadi herself welcomes the couple with the Aarti… Geet is surprised by the sudden welcome from all ends, first it’s Maan and now an official entry into KM… this must be the lucky day for Geet…

Its already evening and our chalaak Dadima has arranged for the second night as well…

Maan has informed that they are staying at the OH… he can’t tell dadi that Geet is staying in the OH alone like always na…

Dadi insists that they go and refresh themselves at Maan’s room itself while the servants shift Maan’s things … Dadi knows what Maan would do after all… Maan says that he had no time to shift… they are working from the morning and yet to finish the job…

Geet looks yearningly at the food, she can only desire what is available for her right now, it’s no use looking at Maan and longing, Maan is not yet ready to take a leap forward… he is taking baby steps and so she too has to slow down…

Geet: aap ko bhook nahi hai kya?

Maan realizes his mistake, he is just here to please her and nothing more than that…

Geet ko kuch kuch samajh aatha, lekhin phir bhi usko shak hai ki Maan ke mann mein abhi bhi unke rishte ko lekhe bahut confusions hai….

Geet doesn’t want him to do anything out of the pressure to please her and later regret his actions… she is ready to wait until he gets out of this confusion, for the time being she is happy that he too likes her…

Maan: tum khaoo Geet, mujhe bas tumme kush dekhna hai

Geet was waiting for she can’t wait with after looking at the scrumptious platter on display in front of her… specially the mutton keema and butter roti along with Nakul’s famous reshmi kabab…

Geet toh toot padi… she is a stress water, and with all the shock that Maan is giving her one after another, she is bound to finish even Maan’s share herself…

Maan keeps admiring her appetite with a big smile…

Geet can’t ignore his pondering look…

Geet tries to eat quickly and has put a whole green chilly in her mouth…

It’s too hot even for her, Geet is in trouble…

Maan takes the water and gives it to her…

Maan: ye tum kya kar rahi thi?

Geet gulps down the glass of water in one go…

Maan takes the tissues and wipes her burning lips…

Geet snatches it from him and helps herself for its getting out of control for her to resist her urges…

Geet: haan, canteen mein jaake ek lassi piyoongi toh sab teek ho jayega

Geet runs away from there…

Maan can’t believe that she wants to have lassi after finishing literally a double meal….

Geet has only lied to escape from him…

Geet is happy to get all the love and care from Maan, but that’s not enough, she wants to help him somehow… the thought of Maan being separated from his own daughter is haunting her…

Whenever Geet is alone, she is not thinking about Maan, she is only thinking about Mansi…. She wants to find out what’s the mystery around Mansi, why is that Maan couldn’t bring her home?

To know the answer she has to first meet Mansi, haina? She is staying somewhere in Shimla, maybe with her mother’s family…

That’s what Dadi means by saying that she hates the fact that the “Khurana waaris” is with another family….

Dadi is the only hope for Geet to know more about Mansi..

Dadi too is not willing to talk much about the past, she is only worried about Maan’s future… she believes that there is no use of talking about the past which can’t be changed while the future is still there to make the most of it ..

From whatever information Geet could gather from Dadi, she finds out that Maan goes every weekend to Shimla to be with his daughter…

Geet has guessed that for Maan took Geet with him to introduce Mansi to her in a weekend only…

So Geet should choose a weekday to meet Mansi…

Geet waits for the right opportunity…

The coming week Maan is going to Bangalore on a business trip…

Geet can use this time to go and find out about Mansi’s mother’s family… why are they not giving back Mansi to her father?

Maan is in a mood to take Geet with him to Bangalore, she loves traveling… they could even hit the road if they want…

Maan would love to Geet’s company, he too likes long drives and travelling… he likes to explore new places, new terrains, mostly uninhabited places which are still under the nature’s care untouched by humans mostly… deep forests, valleys and tribal areas of the hills are Maan’s favorite…. Trecking and camping at these places is his vacationing…

Maan: Geet, you know that I’m going to Bangalore next week

Maan: good, so you are all ready for the trip

Maan will be going to Shimla in the weekend know, Geet plans to go to Hoshiarpur on Friday itself, then go to Shimla on Tuesday when Maan would be in Bangalore…

Then she’ll come back on Wednesday before Maan comes back on Thursday…

Unaware of all the hungama the two girls were having a good time down south…

No one had any idea that the two would have set to explore new places on their own…

And they finally got to know about their secret journey from their train ticket bookings…

The police reached Chennai and looked for the girls in and around Chennai… .their return ticket to Delhi was booked a couple of days later….

But the two suddenly got interested to visit Hyderabad on the way back and have boarded the train already on unreserved tickets…

While the two girls took the train to Hyderabad from Chennai, Avika befriended a group of students from Hyderabad…

They were on a study trip and they shared their seats with the two girls who didn’t have proper seats…

A few friends in that group invited them to a tour of their city… most of them were boys..

Geet being shy didn’t interact much with them… .

Avika on the other hand is born and brought up abroad and got friendly with them in no time…

Avika trusted them and was happy that they got locals to guide so that they could visit lesser known places too…

After having shown them a few places which the girls did enjoy a lot their new friends had a surprise lunch arrangement for them…

They took them to someone’s apartment for lunch…

It was supposed to be one of the girl’s birthday treat, it all went well before some of the birthday girl’s cousin and his gang joined… they were little elder…

The boys were highly intoxicated… they were using drugs it looked…

Avika had a few drinks with them ignoring Geet’s warnings… .

After a few rounds Avika lost control of herself and one of the boys tried to misbehave with Avika … she was the easy target, she is from a foreign land where this is common… but then it should be with her consent and not otherwise…

Geet tried to stop him and he pushed Geet away…

Geet hit the door and was injured badly on the head… Geet got up gathering all her courage and hit him hard on the chest with a glass bottle… the boy was bleeding… the other boys ran away in fear…

Geet called the security and alerted the neighbours…

Luckily a few people came to the girls' rescue…

She called the police immediately…

Geet narrated the whole story to the police…

The senior police officer was such a good man, he helped the girls return safely to their homes…

Geet wanted the boy to be punished but the police officer patiently explained her all the risks which are going to affect only the two girls and asked her to just forget it as a bad dream…

Even if Geet could forget the incidents as a bad dream, the people of Hoshiarpur are not ready to forget it…

Having seen Geet with the head injury they started inventing new stories..

Many believe that she is a rape victim…

Even her family is skeptical about what ever happened in Hyderabad that day…

Brij kept insisting that they took Geet to a lady doctor soon before it’s too late…

What a family?

They stopped Geet from going back to college…

Avika went back to her parents…

After Geet narrated the story to Maan, she looks at him with a sarcastic smile… .

Maan: why are you smiling like that?

Geet: sab aaise hi sochte

Maan: toh tum kya sochte ho?

Geet: mein bas college complete karna chahti hoon, I will be the first graduate in my family irrespective of the gender, mere sare friends abhi final year ko kitna enjoy kar rahe hai, aur mein yahan house arrest mein hoon, uske badh kissi aur ki ghar mein permanent arrest ho jayega, I want to fly free like a bird, enjoy life for a few years at least
