Part 14

After an hour he came back only to see her sitting on the bed in corner. She saw him and then looked away from him. He knew madam was angry from his act and came and sat in front of her holding his ears. She looked away to another side. He went and again held his ears in front of her. I am sorry baba"

Still she kept quiet, he remembered the days when their relation started, how he will keep going on and on and she will sit silent all the time. He smiled at the remembrance and said, "accha tumne pucha nhi how was my project in London"

She just twisted her lips at his words.

"are yaar you know the clients there were really impressed with me, and they called me intellectual too... they were the first one in this whole world to call me that, maii to whi pe flat ho gya tha unpe... and when I presented them our project they approved them without any modifications."

She still ignored him and kept looking away though with his every word, her heart melted with double the speed. He could see the little cracks that appeared in her hard demeanour and continued with his steps.

"accha tumko pata hai bhabhi ne mere liye ek ladki final kar di hai" and as soon as the words left his lips, she got alerted and glared him.

He saw that glare from her and smiled within himself, "tumko pata hai that girl is mehra aunty's daughter, London me rehti hai,, short skirts, minis midis pehnti hai, smart hai beautiful hai, confident hai sex..." he stopped as she placed her palm on his mouth and said, "chup bilkul chup"

The laugh he was trying to control finally released and he laid back on the bed laughing his heart out while geet crunched her nose at his act. "you' you look cute when you are jealous" he said n between his laugh.

"Jealous, huh I am not" she said looking other side giving him attitude.

"yeah-yeah I can see that" he continued with his laugh while get just hit her fist on bed.

She was getting irritated with the way he was making fun of her and said, "mujhe bhook lagi hai"

He immediately got serious and said, "yeah I forgot you didn't even ate last night, chalo lets arrange something."

"ye kisne kha ki I didn't ate last night??" she asked shocked.

"I know baby you were angry on me and yourself, so nhi khaya... chalo in kitchen now". Her heart just swelled hearing the endearments he was using for her today, its second time he called her that, and her heart was bursting in happiness.

He took her to kitchen and said, "chalo make something for us??"

"what!!!" she asked shocked and said, "oh hello I was kidnapped and its your duty to provide me food"

"ha to am giving you whole kitchen na, ou just have to cook... comeon jaldii I am hungry too"

She made a face as she said, "I don't know cooking!!!"

"what!!!" now it was a shock for maan. "Ye nhi ho sakta!!!"

"well I cant cook... now you have to cook for us" she said and was about to put her hand in air then realized her crutch would slip back if she did so.

"I cant cook too!!!" he said giving a goofy grin.

"to order karo kuch am damn hungry maan" she said holding her stomach with her one hand.

"maine kha na this place is far from city, yha pe kuch bhi nhi hai..." he sighed realizing his fault "ab to bhooke hi rehna padega"

"what... you kidnapped me without warning upar se food bhi nhi hai... koi aise kidnap karta hai kya!!' she screamed on him.

are I have experience on kidnapping kya... next time I will be careful' he said keeping his hand in his pockets and whistling something.

"next time!!! What do you mean by next time ha"

"are kisi aur ko nhi kidnap karunga, tumko hi karunga mata for our honeymoon" he winked at her while her mouth opened in O shape.

"besharam" she said and took the cushion that was laying on couch and threw at him. He wasn't ready for that and thus it hit him straight on face. Seeing the hit she laughed and again took a cushion and threw at him while he just ran to save himself from her wrath.

"maregi kya" he said seeing her holding a vase now.

"ha mujhe itna torture karne ke liye" but then she didn't threw it but the flowers that were kept in that vase while he just laughed at her act.

After whole house was in a mess!!! She sat down with a pout with her hands wrapped on her waist and said, "bhook lagi hai"

"accha you wait for a minute, I will check if there is something with which we can do in kitchen" he said cupping her cheek while she just nodded.

After few minutes he shouted for geet from kitchen. When she reached there he was brimming with happiness while she understood he got something. "see what I found" he said and showed her two packets of maggi and said, "atleast you can make this... jaldii karo am hungry"

He settled himself on kitchen slab while she kept maggi to boil on burner. His eyes followed the way she carried herself. The way she looked pretty in her simple skirts and kutis, she never had to show off to catch his attention when her simple moves are enough to make him swoon over her.

He remembered the day when the first time his family talked about his marriage and he confronted geet too. His confrontation to her wasn't just the result of sudden marriage question but it was because of his insecurity too. He remembered the moment itself when suhana had called that day in mansion to ask for geet as she wasn't picking her cell and coincidently it was he who received suhana's call.

When he had asked for any message that he could give to geet, she had hesitatingly revealed that some boy was coming to see her again and they were due in an hour, from the hesitation she spoke, he knew she doesn't expected the boys to agree this time too but she had to try for geet's sake. And he very clearly remembered how his fuse go off and he had said that he don't want those people to see geet and make fun of her.

Suhana just refused to talk to him too and said that she want geet to be on time there, but he was adamant to not let geet pass through that phase again. That was the first time when suhana had asked that with which right he was stopping geet and he had been speechless. Even when he mentions that because he was her friend suhana just laughed it off and asked him to think again.

Yeah that time he was unsure, he even tried to convince himself that it was just because of his friendship for her, but her reaction to his questions cleared it wasn't only friendship for her, it was much more and for once he wanted to think from a wider point of view too.

His thoughts broke when geet handed him his bowl of maggi and they both moved to settle on couch. All the while she sat in silence while they eat, and he couldn't think of anything to make her talk. He was feeling proud of himself to make that decision, earlier he was way to confused, lots of questions were in his mind, but this two week trip cleared it all.

In London, he tried to bring back that flirty maan, that man who doesn't mind going out with girls but he couldn't. he had time and opportunity there, but his heart never allowed, even if he tried it would be her face that looked back at him and she could feel his angry glares from all sides even if he tried to cross his limits with any girl.

Not only that practically too he had thought about their relation, he needed someone in his life who could hold him, support him when he is apprehensive, control him yet ensure he does right thing and most importantly bind his family together, like dadima did, like bhabhi did and he knew she is a right choice. Even she needs someone who consider her as equal as she deserves to be in a relation, never let her feel apprehensive of her crutches and he knew he will... it doesn't matter she has those crutches, even if that matters, they can handle that together. Many couples had survived and they will too.

"kya soch rhe ho" she said seeing him so silent and lost.

"hmare bare me" he replied as he kept his bowl on side. Geet immediately got stiff hearing him say that. She took a long breath and decided to talk to him and make him understand as this is going no way. She held his hand and he smiled realizing for the first time she did that.

"Maan lets talk straight... bhut ho gya... I don't want you to suffer"

"Geet how I am suffering over here, its you who is running away"

"Because there is no future maan... we cant be together, we have lots of social boundaries between us"

"geet that ridiculous, you are worried because of social boundaries... tell me kya social boundaries hai mai bhi to janu" he said getting angry now while she just tried to calm him down.

"maan samajhne ki koshish karu, you are son of a well-known family, rich multi billionaire, while I come from a middle class family. Ye rich high class society isn't me... ye social gatherings, parties; I am not fit for them. Mai to bina support ke 5 kadal nhi chal sakti, I can't handle these things." She said in slow voice.

"agree you don't like social gatherings and no one is forcing you to attend them. Ha we have to go to those parties, even we throw them too, but you go there to enjoy, and if you are scared that they will taunt you for these crutches, geet har kisi me koi na koi fault hota hai, kuch logo ka visible hota hai like yours, bakiyo ka we cant see but we can feel... and I wont accept you suffocating in 4 walls just because people laugh and make fun."

"they wont only make fun of me, it doesn't matter if they laugh on me, I had handled that all my lfe, but its you which will be affected, they will laugh on you for being with me... ek apahij ke sath!!!"

"chup!!! I wont tolerate you calling yourself all that... samjhi"

"maan sach hai ye"

"do hell with your sach, I don't care"

"accha theek hai, but they will laugh on you, mujhe bardasht nhi hoega koi tumhe mere karan kuch kahe"

"to mat bardasht karna, if they laugh on me you give them a piece of your mind... jhad dena sabko, phir koi kuch nhi kahega"

"aisa nhi hota... we cant shut entire society"

"we can ignore them, tumko mujhse pyaar karna hai ya is society se" he snapped at her,

"tumse karna hai par we cant stay aloof too right... aj nhi par shayad kuch saal baad you feel let down because of me, to sach maan mai whi mar jaungii... I won't be able to handle you being disappointed because of me, jis tarah wo choreographer taunted, waise puri duniya will say, I don't want you to be ashamed of me"

"geet are you planning to stay bachelor whole your life???" she was shocked for a second then nodded no, "to ye problems to sabke sath honi hai let it be me or someone else, you cant refuse me because of this reason!!!" he said snapping his hand.

"if you has other reasons to bolo warna you are marrying me bas"

"arreee..." geet was now losing her cool with his childishness, but then decided to tell him her major fear, "I don't think your family will accept me as their daughter in law" she said hesitantly while gauzing his reaction.

His relaxed composure got tensed as he looked at her, "kisi ne tumse kuch kha" he said cupping her face. She placed her hands on his that were on her cheeks and said, "nhi kuch nhi kha, but maan they want a perfect person for you, jo tumhe match kare, har tareeke se... and I don't fit in their criteria"

"tumhe kaise pata unka kya criteria hai for your so perfect daughter in law"

"mujhe pata hai sab"

"agar pata hota na to aaj mujhe yu kidnap nhi karna padta tumhe... they want a girl jo mujhe khush rakhe, jo hum sabse pyaar kare... ek Barbie doll nhi chahiye unhe"

"geet, sachi me they wont mind, agar problem hui bhi to we will make them understand, but running away is not an option"

"I don't want you to stay against your family because of me, they are nice lovely people"

"geet I know you are being tough because of all your past, but all people are not like them, I promise koi drama nhi hoga, you just trust me on this"

"par mai to keh rhi thi ki..."

"nhi kuch na kaho tum, I am going, aur yeh lo" he gave her a cell phone "tumko jana hai to jao, main hi rokta tumhe, socha tha tumko samjhaunga aur tum samjhogi, kuch pal akele pyaar se bitaunga tumhare sath, but nhi!!! Jab man kare jane ka, dial the last dialled number and tell driver to bring car"

He took his keys and moved toward door, but then stopped and went in his room and brought a packet, "jab tumhe pehli baar isme dekha tha, nazar nhi hata paya tah apni... agar lage ki mujhpe vishwas kar sakti ho to isme mera intzaar karna"

Just loved the way Maan said everything.. but Geet too is right on her sides.

She has faced alot more than Maan and she knows how people treat .. and she does not want maan to face it but Maan is also too strong with his love
