His words echoed in her mind while their eyes were still locked with each other. She couldn't fathom depth of his words and he knew he has said something he was not supposed to say.

Those eyes have been haunting him since he saw her two days back and her painful words from her diary had pierced his heart. No matter how much he tried, but he couldn't escape the gnawing pain he has seen in those eyes.

Hi Mr Maan Singh Khurana..! Brij called him breaking their trance. She looked around and realized that she was in the party in embrace of a total stranger. Well not a stranger but business tycoon Maan Singh Khurana.

Oh Geet you are here.. ? Brij's face was tensed and his eyes were spitting fire when he saw geet in embrace of Maan Singh Khurana..

Sorry Mr khurana for the disturbance she might have caused you. This girl is a bad luck. He told Maan and then turned his head towards Geet again.

Embarrassed at their closeness she tried to disentangle herself from him but he didn't let her go. Maan didn't glance at the person who was passing those sarcastic comments.. He sensed that she was getting tensed and embarrassed.

Will you dance with me..? He asked her in serious tone and before she could answer he led her towards the dance floor leaving flabbergasted brij behind.

He twirled her around gracefully. They both were lost in each other oblivious to their surroundings. Her legs moved but her mind was still engrossed in what she heard just few minutes back.

We met two days back and that was supposed to be end of this story but fate made me face him again. Why I feel something is changing within me.?

He placed his hand around her waist and turned her to face him. His eyes have been lingering in her memories from past 2 days. She knew the moment he held her for the first time some different feelings coursed through her body.

She believed that agony in her life had dried the tears in her eyes. No matter how much she tried she failed to shed those frozen tears.

But she was wrong..! Soothing warmth of his nearness was melting those frozen tears of hers.

She placed her hand on his broad chest to push him back but he tightened his gripped on her shoulder. He could see a light lining of water in her eyes threatening to fall. He brought her forward and engulfed her in his soothing embrace. She felt as if he breathed soul into her lifeless body through his simple hug.

Unbelievable..! Yes it was totally unbelievable that a stranger could have such a soul stirring effect on someone. He patted her back to make her relax and she simply obliged to his demand.

She knew something changed at that moment within her. He was not her knight in shining armor because she was not allowed to wish for one. But still he made her do what she couldn't do for months and that was to cry.

A tear escape her from her eye. She rubbed her cheek in disbelief and saw water drop on her fingertip. In one day Maan Singh Khurana managed to melt those frozen tear within her. Wasn't it strange..?

BUT he made me feel like I am alive. I am still breathing. I still have some emotions buried inside me. But I can't betray myself. I can't have any feeling. A sob escaped her lips as she unwantedly broke the hug.

She didnt wanted to show her weakness or her tears. she tried to hide her

Don't hurt yourself by giving so much pain over something that was not in your fault. He whispered in her ear.

You don't know anything about my pain. Do you..? Few more tears escape

her eyes as she said those words.

I may not know everything about you but I do know what Pain is. I'm sure you think that I don't understand what you're going through. He paused and then continued

Yes I don't know. But I know this pain that is visible in your eyes. But trust me pain of remorse is worse than anything, when you don't have anyone to blame nor fate neither people but only yourself. He sighed.

It does not help when you have others to blame for your misery either. Believe me it doesn't help. She took few steps back and made her way out of the hall as tears flow down her cheeks. He stood there rooted at his place gaping at her trailing figure. He was unable to stop her.

This is another nightmare of my life. I can't be alive enough to feel anything. I simply can't be..! She mumbled

He kept staring her trailing figure and thought.

I had been cursing my life till now. I have been burdened by remorse but the pain in your eyes is burying me deeper into something that is way beyond angst. Would I ever be able to redeem myself..?

He walked towards the bar when brij appeared again..

Mr Khurana I am really obliged that you are willing to invest in handa enterprise.

Deal is off. His three words were enough to crumble all the hopes of brij handa..

Maan singh khurana was not a person to argue with so he didn't dare to utter a single word in response.

Geet woke up next morning when her doorbell rang continuously. She ran and opened the door.

Geet..! My friend..! My business partner..! Rishi exclaimed and entered almost pushing her back.

Rishi beejee would wake up. She was again sick last night. Geet warned him

Geet don't expect me to lower down my volume. You know Maan singh Khurana is interested in our company and he is willing to invest in our company and all we have to do is just sign the deal.

It's a miracle. I mean why would he do that..? and he himself is going to attend meeting with us. This is another miracle. Just get ready we have to leave in 30 minutes. Rishi pushed her into her room and pleaded.

Please geet get ready fast. We don't have time. Have pity on me atleast. After so many months we gonna get some deal and that too with MSK. Oh don't tell me I am dreaming. Rishi beamed and closed the door.

Geet changed her dress and sat in the car lost in her thoughts. Rishi blabbered excitedly throughout the way but geet kept mum.

But to his dismay nothing of that sort was going to happen. So he decided to witness the most disastrous situation of his life quietly.

People wait for months to work with KC and here you are getting a chance and you are refusing..?

Exactly my point..! Why do you want to invest in our company..? It would be pretty much obvious to a shrewd businessman like you that Malhotra enterprise is going through bad phase and you didn't bother to look into details and after our one meeting last night you are all willing to invest in it.

Maan looked at the girl standing in front of her in amusement. She was different she was special for sure.
