it's not the CV's who are losing interest... it's the channel... the channel's currently more interested in getting viewers for their new shows... they can do that but they should also sustain the viewers of their already established shows... since the past few weeks they have hardly released enough promos... and the ones that are being released are not interesting enough... quite a few interesting events have taken place in the show recently... but the channel has not bothered to highlight them and keep the audience interest alive by using them in promos... even precaps are missing since so many weeks... the promos and the precaps used to keep the curiosity alive... i wish star one would wake up and smell the coffee...

And Creatives and the GEET DEV TEAM forget that their audience do not want ronadhona and reality and that they want fantasy, harmony, and beauty.

We get enough of unhappiness and disharmony in our daily lives, why do we need to watch a serial and lose our sleep and weekends just because the CVs are getting some pleasure out of viewers' angst.

I agree. I want fantasy and love, not logic and drama... I want light moments, not ronadhona...Geet delivers fantasy very well. Ronadhona doesn't suit the serial, according to me.

@Jazz: No clue, may be we can try sending it to them BUT they rarely open a 2-way dialogue not realizing that the LOYAL fans are their best marketing tools and they need to use them to their best advantage and effectively. They don't seem to invest in their fans or the strength of their fan base.

@Tanu: Yes hon, from 22nd they are axing the repeats

@Asmiiish: I agree but when they are playing with people's/fans emotions they have to be careful to know when not to tamper with them and take them for a ride and when to put a stop

@kunataanya: Yes the blame falls on the Channel to a large extent but I wonder why they are doing this. Do they want to axe this show?

@nancy_zb88: None of us are complaining about a subtle play of emotions but still it is better they understand their core audience and the needs of their consumer base and as to what clicks with them and does not

Nobody is denying their need for creative freedom to explore ALL the NAVRASAS as my friend says, but there is a LIMIT as to how much they can test our patience or the patience of fans and their viewership figures are pretty much a barometer of where viewer loyalty lies and viewers' choice lies.

@bDjT oohhh they asked about mothers? thats exactly where they messed up then, the target market is the youth so they should stick to it, instead of changing it to a wider range of consumers. maybe they can segment the youth a little better to market the youth better, for instance bring in different marketing approaches for high school youth versus college youth versus grad school youth versus working youth, really thats what they teach us here in the business world :)

@Harpreet: As per this interview of Nikhil Mirchandani I read, the target audience was supposed to be 18-35. By asking that question some time last month or so about "mothers watching" on Geet FB, did they suddenly decide to widen their net??? That is the question but for that they are sacrificing their current fan base is my humble opinion.

@-Rati=: Have no clue hon, but whatever it is, the channel needs to pull up its marketing socks big time up and polish their shoes nice and neat. They are killing a great show with their lackadaisical approach

hey bri .....this is really a well timed wake up call.............i am sorry to say the TRP system in india is so badly set..........there are 2 types of viewers........one with the dth connections and the others that dont. Starone loses out already on the fact that its predominantly a channel displayed on dth connection.......plus online viewership is not considered for TRP's atall....and all the points u included......all in all starone and geet team has to pick up the act.........as by now they should be aware of the trend that geet follows and by the decreasing TRP's i hope they have learnt their lesson.
