I'm writing this post, but don't really know what I want to say LOL. What a weird episode!! After so many juicy episodes, in comparsion today was a damp squib. For me the only saving grace was Drashti's amazing acting. I loved the way she portrayed Geet's anger, hurt and confusion all at once and the scene towards the end where she breaks down had my hair stand on end. But other than that, a lot was left to be desired.
For starters, I haven't really been impressed with the confrontation between Geet and Dev. I sincerely feel that it could have been better. The CVs have set high standards but I'm afraid those standards haven't been met this time round. After so much build up, Geet and Dev coming face to face was quite an anti climax.
I also have a bone to pick with the CVs. Now, I understand that Geet is utterly confused. She knows that Maan will be hurt upon knowing the truth but at the same time wants to punish Dev. But I don't think Geet would ever consider leaving Maan like that. I know that she hasn't exactly left the house. But the way she has gone off seems very unlike Geet. I understand that she is under a great deal of shock. However I don't think she would ever dream of leaving Maan under these circumstances. She was relucant to leave him even after she told him about the pregnancy. And this is my request to CVs…don't ever think of showing that! Because at the end of the day, that goes against what MaaNeet actually stand for. MaaNeet symbolize trust and faith- period.
I have no idea where this storyline is actually heading. Seems to me as if the engagement will take place but Geet will decide to keep quiet. Again-big blooper and that just spells trouble. The wise thing for Geet would be to tell Maan the truth. He would definitely support her. But if she keeps it a secret and he finds out later, that would in fact break Maan and do more damage in the long run.
The fact that Gurmeet is unwell also adds to the confusion. How can we have an engagement without the Dulha? And more importantly, how can we have the show without our drop dead gorgeous Maan Singh Khurana? I remember last time when Guru was unwell, I was depressed seeing the double and was missing MaaNeet scenes like crazy. Get well soon Gurmeet…you and Drashti are what makes the show. Bless you guys.
Overall, I was left disappointed with today's episode and equally confused about the upcoming track, especially if Gurmeet will be absent. Only thing I am certain of is that there should be NO MaaNeet separation. My heart won't be able to take it!
