Yesterday I was watching Ravaan (movie) as I wanted to see the picturization of "Behene de" as I love the song (and love it more because of Maaneet ).

I found a few striking similarities . I don't know if its that I am watching too much of geet these days '

1. Beera is shown as a devil with a golden heart.(Don't kill me just my thought) Maan too is shown similarly and with similar beard etc..

2. Beera hates bak bak bak so too Maan

3. Beera is defied for the first time by Ragini . maan is defied for the first time by geet.

4. Beera love realization on Behene de so too mann

5. Geet love realization in white dress with golden embroidery so too Rajani.

6. Ragini's husbands name is dev who she worships like god is actually ravaan ' Geet's husband Dev '

7. The dialoge 10 sir wala danav'

Just my thought and observations'

No chappals please J

Geet makes us laugh and enjoy...........

@Bul3 and @bDgT thanks! @lallulal2010 --> Yep Geet is far far better and Ravaan cannot be compared to it.Just that the characters made me think so.the intesity,Passion, purity and truth in Beera's love and the turmoil of Ragini's thought were kind of similar.... :)

Very interesting observations. I'm yet to watch Raavan even though it came on yday on Colors I still missed it.

I like the one about Dev being the real Raavan, which is true for our poor Geet.

the last few episodes too had so many similarities. The way beera acknoweldges his love and makes evident on Ragini. And keeps asking for her.

The way he realises that he is not afraid of getting defeated.I mean he does a lil self talk abt how she doesnot fear deatj and he got sacred looking at her she is not afraid of death.
Similarly the self talk of how first time maan is not afraid of getting defeated...
i dont know why i always feel Maan and geet are similar to beera and ragini. Moreover beera and Maan have similar character and the same intensity ,truthfulness and attitude in the character.
I feel some where the script writer is influenced with the underlying lovestory and intensity of love of Ravaan and implementing it in a better way in Geet.
I just hope the endingis different and we get Maan and geet together.

On a serious note-The film portrays really well the director's thoughts and imagination....and that way I liked the film...though it lacked any usual thing of film...
