FLASHBACK
Three months after their wedding:

Angad- Come on, your Kripa Angad Khanna now, don't tell me your chicken to go to a party with me
Kripa- I'm not chicken, but I have no interest to go to some high society party
Angad- Why, I thought journalist like you die to get into these parties, so why are you backing out?
Kripa- Why do you want me to go, just go and have a good time
Angad- Well, then I might flirt with girls or...you know, drink, so how could you miss out this chance?
Kripa- Alright, lets go
Angad- Not like this, there's a dress in your room, go put it on and some other accessories
Kripa- ...oh.....

Later that night, when Angad and Kripa got to the party, Kripa was the most ravishing and gorgeous girl there. All eyes were on her for a chance instead of on Angad Khanna. She wore a black dress that came a little above her knees and a simple diamond set, but the simplicity made her look even more beautiful. She first wore her hair in a bun, but when Angad told her she looked prettier with it down, she for some reason wore it down.

Josh Kapoor, one of Angad's best friends, came and greeted them.

Josh- Hey Angad and Kripa, your as always looking if not as, than more beautiful
Kripa- Thank you Josh, nice party
Josh- Thanks

An hour into the party, after a couple of dances, Josh and another friend of Angad's, Sahil were all hanging out with each other. Kripa noticed they all had a drink in their hand but Angad didn't. She smiled, she never knew the thought of winning some challenge would make him quit everything..

She joined a couple of woman in some boring talks. The whole world knew they were married for only name, but everyone was still jealous of Kripa.

Sahil- Angad, I'm pretty sure one drink won't make a freakin difference
Angad- I'm pretty sure it will, but thanks for the offer
Josh- Dang, I don't know how your doing it man
Angad- Well, sometimes you have to do things you don't want.....anyways, I'll catch you guys later

Angad walked towards Kripa, where he could see she was sweating and looking red.

A- You alright?
K- Oh yeah.........just......I'll be fine
Angad put his hand on her forehead and felt it was burning hot.

A- Damn, I'm so sorry Kripa, this was the reason you didn't want to come to the party
K- It's really, not a big deal
A- Yeah it is, come on, we're going home
K- But the party----
A- Shrew the party

That was the day Kripa realized there really was a change in him and this was confirmed because Angad didn't have the maids take care of her, he himself did.

END OF FLASHBACK:

Angad reached his mansion. It was humungous, but he was a millionaire, what more could one expect. Angad was a self-made rich man. He started the famous and world wide cell phone company: No Boundary, which every teenager to adult owned. His parents had died in a plane crash a couple of years ago and he had no siblings. Of coarse he had aunts and uncles which he didn't keep contact with and cousins, like Prithvi Bose.

Prithvi was a lawyer and a good friend of Kripa's. He had a crush on her and would constantly flirt with her, regardless if Angad was in front of him or not. Prithvi and Angad weren't the best of cousins but they tolerated each other.

Angad sat down on his bed and sighed.

FLASHBACK:

Angad's cousin, Prithvi was very fond of Kripa. He would flirt with her because he knew Kripa and Angad weren't really serious about each other and their marriage would end eventually. Apart from that, he made Kripa a close friend.
Prithvi let himself into Angad's house and went to the kitchen where he found them eating breakfast.

K- Hey Prithvi
P- Hello love of my life
K-???
P- Chill I was talking to my cousin
Kripa smiled while shaking her head.
K- You're crazy
P- For you
A- You're so cheesy
Prithvi sat down and poured himself a cup of coffee.

A- What brings you by?
P- Your wife
Angad gave Prithvi an evil stare, but Prithvi laughed it off like he always did.
P- I'm joking, calm down, so what are you doing today Kripa
K- It's Saturday, Angad will be at work and I'll be home alone, bored
P- Then go with me to this new restaurant opening, the food is supposed to be really good
K- Erm......----
P- So you're going, right?
A- Erm, actually Prithvi, I was going to take Kripa out to ......dancing, so.......yeah, I hope you don't mind
P- Oh.......why should I mind, as long as Kripa is up for it
K- I love dancing!
A- Good
P- But you guys aren't going to be dancing all day, so maybe we can go out for lunch Kripa---
A- If I can take my wife dancing I can take her to lunch too
P- Oh.....sure. Maybe another time Kripa, but Angad.....didn't you have work?
A- ........I own the company, I work when I feel like it
P- But you've never taken a day off unless it's some emergency
K- Oh, so does this mean taking me out is equivalent to an emergency?
A- You could say that
K- Lucky me
P- Erm....I'll get going now, bye Kripa and....bye Angad
K- See you later

Later that night Angad took Kripa out to dancing like he said he would.
As they danced:

A- So I didn't know you liked dancing
K- There's a lot of stuff you don't know about me Mr. Khanna
A- Then I guess you'll have to catch me up Mrs. Khanna
Kripa laughed, it still sounded weird to her being called Mrs. Khanna.
K- On one condition
A- What?
K- Even you'll have to tell me something about you that no one knows, not the common people and not even journalists
A- Alright, sounds fair.
K- Good, and by the way, your a pretty good dancer, but then again, you probably take a lot of girls out to dancing
A- No, I had to learn dancing because of the high society parties and crap, but you're the first girl that I voluntarily took out dancing, so consider your self to be lucky
K- Sure. You know, I think any relationship should end with a good dance
A- Why?
K- Because when you dance even the biggest problems in the world feel little. The music carries you off to a new world where there's only love and harmony. And a dance puts the perfect end to a relationship.
A- In that case, even we will end our relationship with a dance

END OF FLASHBACK:

Angad laid down and eventually fell asleep. The next day he got dressed and went to work. He got serveral profitable business deals done and afterwards he decided to take interviews for multiple positions.

The eighth person came in. Angad looked up and saw a nervous, but pretty, girl standing in front of him.

Girl- Good afternoon sir
Angad- Good afternoon, have a seat
The girl nervously smiled and sat down.
She handed him her resume, he read the name, Mishty Varma.
A- Okay, Mishty, what position are you applying for?
M- Manager position sir
A- ....alright......your qualifications are very nice
M- Thank you sir
A- But.....I don't think they're high enough for the manager position
M- ...oh.....
Angad looked at her upset face.
A- But tell you what, how about you start at a normal position and you can try to work your way up
M- That would be great too sir! Thank you!
A- yea, no problem. You can start next Tuesday
M- Sir, I can't tell you thanks enough, but...thank you!
A- Your very welcome

Mishty stood up and smiled. She looked at the pictures on his desk. It was of a pretty girl and him, both hugging, another one was of both of them on the beach, she was in her bikini, which wasn't that revealing, and he was looking hot with shorts and no shirt, and the third was Angad taking a bite out of Kripa's ice cream cone and her looking at him angrily.

Mishty- Is that your girlfriend sir?
Angad followed her eyes to the pictures and they instantly brought a smile to his face.
A- That's my ....ex-wife......also best friend
Mishty was confused but decided to stay quiet. She didn't want to ask any question that would set off her new boss's mood.
M- Well....I'll see you Tuesday then, bye sir
A- bye

Mishty left and Angad looked at the pictures again.

FLASHBACK:
K- I knew a vacation on the beach would do you good
A- I could have been making millions as we speak
K- I'm surprised you say that, I mean look at all the girls here, I bet your eyes are going to be glued to them the whole time
A- Your my wife, and they'll be glued to you if you take off your shirt and shorts and show your bikkini
K- No thanks
A- Afraid to show your body?
K- Why would I be afraid to show my body?
A- Because it's probably not as fit and hot looking as the other girls here
K- Oh really?

Kripa took off her shirt and shorts to reaveal her bikkini and hot body. Angad wasn't shocked because he knew it would be hot.
A- ......not bad
K- Whatever
A- Hey! Can you take a pic of us

Angad handed a camera to some random guy and he agreed to take a picture of them.
K- Wait, why are we taking a picture?
A- To put in Playboy
Kripa rolled her eyes.
K- That was sooo not funny
A- Shut up and smile
Angad put his arm around her waist as she did as she was told.
END OF FLASHBACK

Meanwhile, Kripa got to her new apartment. She knew she would be having a roommate and hoped it was someone nice.

HEY!
Kripa turned around to see a pretty girl walk towards her
K- Hello, I'm Kripa Khan--- Kripa Sharma
Girl- I'm Alliya Sachdev, nice meeting you!
K- You too. So how long have you been in New York?
Al- Ohh, for about three years now. But I was living with my parents, I just moved into this apartment a couple of days ago
K- That's cool.
Kripa smiled. She was glad she had a nice roommate and she was Indian too.
K- What do you do?
Al- I'm a nurse at the local hospital, what about you?
K- I'm a journalist
Al- Cool! So did you come from India?
K- yea
Al- What brought you here?
K- I don't know.......just wanted to get away from my old life, not that it was bad or anything, just....needed to start over I guess
Al- Yea, I understand. But I think you'll like it here
K- Good
Al- Come on, I'll take you out tonight because it's your first night in NY!
K- Sure
Al- And the guys here are pretty cute too
K- Do you have a boyfriend
Al- Honey, this is New York, no one has time to date, that is unless you actually take time out of your busy schedule
K- Oh
Al- But don't worry, there's not time for serious relationships but there sure is time to hook up
K- You're crazy Alliya
Al- I know! Come on, I'll show you your room, it has this great view from it!

And with that Kripa and Alliya's friendship started.

Alliya- This is one of New York's most popular clubs
K- I can tell, it's jam packed
Al- I know, hey, lets make out way to the dance floor
K- ..alright

Alliya found a guy to dance withand Kripa danced by herself, until a tall, strong built, handsome Indian man came towards her.
Man- May I have a dance with you?
Kripa couldn't hear him very well because of the loud music.
K- What?!
Man- Dance, dance, Can I have a dance with you
K- oh, well.....sure, why not

Man- I've never seen you here before
Kripa- I just came from India
Man- What's your name?
Kripa- Kripa Sharma
Man- That's a beautiful name
K- Thanks, what's yours?
Man- Rahul Metha
K- Nice meeting you
Rahul- You want to maybe...go out for dinner after this?
K- sorry, but I don't even know you
R- Of course you do, I'm Rahul and you're Kripa
Kripa- I usually wouldn't do this, but what the hell, sure. but I should ask my friend Alliya, whom I'm here with
Rahul- no problem. But if she doesn't say yes then I'm still taking you
Kripa laughed, he sure was a charmer.

Alliya had no problem in Kripa going out to dinner with Rahul, but she told Kripa to stay careful, it was one of her first nights in New York and anything could happen. But Rahul was a total gentlemen, he was polite and funny. After a great time at dinner, Rahul dropped off Kripa respectively at her apartment.

Rahul- Can I get your number?
Kripa- Erm......sure
Kripa gave him her number and smiled as he kissed her on the cheek. She was happy she was starting a new life and had a new start, but Angad kept coming to her mind again and again. They both agreed not to ever meet again, but she died to hear his voice again.

Kripa brushed it off and decided to watch some t'v.

THREE MONTHS LATER:

Kripa and Angad didn't talk to each other like they said they would. Kripa landed a job in The New York Times. She loved it and to her luck, it was as top editor. Rahul and her grew to be good friends. He always made her laugh and meeting him became the highlight of her day. Angad and Mishty started going out. He liked her, she was a sweet person. Kripa told both Alliya and Rahul about Angad and why they got married. They both laughed at the idea of it. Mishty found out from people at the office about why Angad and Kripa got married. It made her happy that they were never in love.

Mishty and Angad were out on lunch.
A- Why do you always wear your hair up?
M- Because I like it like this
A- It would look good down too, Kripa always wore her hair down and it looked great
M- well.......I guess I can't be Kripa
A- I didn't mean it like that
M- I know....but it came out like that
A- .....I'm sorry
M- Forget this, I'm full, should we go?
A- erm...yea, sure

Mishty walked out ahead of Angad. When they got in the car, she didn't speak a word to him.

Angad stopped the car after he got irritated.
M- Why'd you stop?
A- Because this girl is mad at me, what should I do to make it up to her?
Mishty frowned.
M- Angad, this isn't the first time you tried to turn me or my habits into one of Kripa's, I can't be Kripa and I don't want to be either
A- I know. And you're perfectly fine the way you are, you're beautiful, I'm sorry if I ever sound like that
M- .....I know you don't mean it, it's alright
A- Thanks
Angad scooted in and kissed her. Mishty smiled and kissed him back.
M- So Angad, am I prettier than Kripa?
A- erm........100 times prettier
M- Am I smarter than her?
A- uhgg.....1000 times smarter
M- And do you like being with me more than her?
A- 10,000 times more
Mishty laughed and kissed him again.
M- Thanks, I love you
A- So you're not mad at me anymore?
M- Angad, I don't think anyone in the world can stay mad at you for too long

As Angad pulled the car and continued driving he came to the facts that he lied to Mishty. He knew Kripa was one of the prettiest girls he ever met and prettier, smarter, and funner to be with than Mishty or any other girl he knew. But there was no point in telling a truth that would bring nothing but pain. What he lost he would never be able to get back, but his lost wasn't just a good friend, it was his love, who was now in another part of the world moving on with her life and Angad was happy if she was happy, for her he also decided to move on.
