He did right by asking Pia to apologize. Its was not out of pity. He was standing up for her.

The one positive thing here is that Tara doesn't squirm when Pia gets obnoxious. She faces her head on. She has had Pia sputtering on many occasions.

“What the hell happened between you and Taara?” he texted furiously

“Nothing, we had brunch and she left”

“I don’t believe that”

“Why? What did she say to you?”

“Something’s not right”

“I don’t have time for this, I have a 1 PM shift at the hospital”

“Really?” “Mom said u took the afternoon off to go see somene’s baby or something”

“What is this? A Spanish Inquisition”

“Pia, you did not apologize did you?”

“About what?”

“I cannot believe I am having this conversation. I need an apology from you, I want it to happen in front of me TO Taara”

“Is that so?” his tone was cold and unmoved

“U know what I am sick of this mess I don’t want to talk about this”

“Sure! Me neither”

He hung up and called his Dad

“How are you?”

“Great, can you talk?”

“I am semi retired of course I can talk, is it about that proof of repair notice at Iris Gurgaon?”

“No? What happened?”

Gopal explained the work crisis

“I wanted to talk about Pia?”

“Hmm”

“This is really frustrating, I am dealing with a lot here”

“The brunch date was a bust this morning”

“She owed Taara an apology, it never came”

“Will you please come up with another response”

“I cannot believe I am having to explain this to her!!! What happened to civility”

“She believes Taaruni Bhushan is a scam artist and she is trying to protect you”

Its not like he secretly didn’t spy on her, he was doing it too, he was afraid she was going to ruin him in some way.

“I wont go into that, she owes her an apology, multiple, I am tired of this, I told Pia I will have Veer removed from the board”

“Are you out of your mind?”

“No I am not. I am tired of her interfering, I don’t need protecting. She needs to stay off my life”

“The circumstances under which u married is ripe for speculation and conflict”

“No its not… this has nothing to do with Pia’s life or marriage”

“I will talk to her, neither of you are giving Taaruni the respect she deserves” Gopal was blunt

“OK whats done is done…. BTW Taara directed the work stop order at Zenith Astro, so before you get carried away, please focus”

“So Pia is justified in being upset?”

“No Pia is crass and uncivilized”

Gopal grunted

“My sex life and my relationship with Taara is not her business”

How does one really deal with sibling being nasty? Breaking tie is not an option always!!!

Sumedha and Gopal would be heartbroken.

If anyone has solutions to an extent it is Pradyut.
Pradyut needs to give Taara rightful position in his life. If he can’t, he cannot expect the same from others.

Only his parents have been fair until now.

Pia at the most can give her opinion to her brother.

She can keep her nasty mouth shut.
but seems she is not even a decent human being.

“She owes u one, and u are getting it”

“How dare u pity me?” her lips quivered, as her eyes filled up with tears

“Taara” he chased after her, she closed the door of her room

Forget Pia, don’t you owe her anything?
true, you haven’t been evil to her but if you want this relationship to be anything more than business arrangement, you haven’t said so.

We knew it. Pia was not going to apologize. She has now said so right to Prady's face.
