“Raanav’s bedroom had a clear view of the front courtyard” - this just about says it all about how Viveka feels about Parashar House. With good reason.

I’m glad she’s talking to Raanav about how she felt.

Viveka has a hard time explaining to Raanav how she feels around his family but He is in no mood to listen. (I guess he has only one thing in his mind)

A master stroke how a situation was created so the two talk ( well their signature argue 😋) and Ra gets to know about Vi challenges,her insecurities being married to him and living in Parasher mansion.

First the classic response ...car accident was not a big deal (i am sure he has had many in past) and hence the shock that she was waiting for him or that she needed confirmation that she is a good driver ! Responsible Ra wanted to be sure there was no physical damage to her. Hence the doc appt.

Then her comment that can I leave my car in my driveway...and the two started having two separate conversations. He rather than inferring that she feels she is not family took it as she does not want to be part of family ! Trying to be friends with Lekha may have garnered a shock but he still did not get it

Just realised best part of update. Neither is now looking it as short term arrangement.

Viveka wants to be part of household and belong.

Ranaavs statement could be read as be yourself I like it the way you are now and forever.

“If you weren’t married to me if you just knew me and I had hit your car on Bua’s driveway?”

He shifted uneasy

“Raanav I am not ashamed of who I am or where I come from but if I have to live here I need to be careful”

Raanav does know how he had judged Viveka initially and what she is saying is true. If they were not married now and he not in love with her, and if the same incident had happened, he would be reacting the exact opposite of how he is reacting now.

He knows that Lekha and even his mother will always judge Viv unfairly, but it is one aspect to acknowledge it to himself and totally a different aspect to live through it every day (which is very very tough for him to understand)

Well said Kavi. If in the situation she pointed out there would’ve been hungama! He knows he was wrong in how he viewed and behaved with her. But yes to live it day after day like she is doing now, is a whole different story. I wonder what he would’ve said/felt if he had heard what his mother so patronizingly told Viveka. She didn’t complain did she, instead she’s pondering how these things are not really helping her. There is no expectation of change from the mean two, just what she can do to make things easier for herself. She has seen her mum handle the other kumbh mein bichde mean two😆. Whether that is the right way is open to question. Anu has support from her husband who knows exactly what happens and tries his best to support her. We have to see what Viveka’s husband will do.

“Stop worrying about what she thinks” he said bluntly

“I am sorry I CANNOT be that way” she said firmly pushing her glasses up, folding her arms across her chest

He sighed and rubbed his eyes

“You don’t have to worry, I am not asking you to intervene”

“Are you excusing me?” he was angry noe

“aur kya kahoon main Raanav, tum on board nahi ho is baat ke liye, I am 30 I should be allowed to make my own attempts to build a relationship don’t you think?”

“Fine by me!” he threw his hands up

“Tum nahi chahte ho jaise tumhara Rakshit ke saath hai Rishta mera Lekha ke saath ho?” she asked curiously

“Not if you have to agonize over it” he said coolly

“Mere liye agony nahi hai I want to be honest and give it my best shot” she said quietly

He turned to go walked out of the room

“can we go eat now?”

She nodded

“Tumhe itna time kyon lag gaya?” she asked quietly

He just grabbed her and wrapped his arms around her waist and groaned, letting go as they stepped out of the suite into the corridor

“Tumhe laga mujhe chot aay gayi aur main tumse Hindi film style promises extract karoongi?” she laughed

He was not amused

He rolled his eyes

“Not used to middle class humor?” she chuckled under her breath

“I would have been if you had not injected CLASS into it” he said

“You should know by now its part of me”

“If we are no longer talking about your fervent need to please Lekha (is that why you bring up your middle class status) you need to let me know

Whether its you or Lekha, I cannot shed it Raanav” she stopped and smiled beatifically

“I am not asking you to do that” he warned stopping midway and turning to face her

“I see you cringe every time I mention it” she said somberly

“I don’t” he said inaudibly

“Main tumhe taana nahi maar rahi hoon Raanav, I want you to be OK with me being middleclass

“You assumed I married you without being OK?”

“I suspect so” she said quietly

Inder, Nupur and Viren walked down the stairs at the far end and approached them

“I rest my case” Viveka muttered in her head when she watched Raanav’s expression change on seeing Inder
