"First it was "that guy", then Vikram and now Makarand?" Sam questioned, angst ridden
"Thats insulting Sam" Manya looked deeply hurt
They sat in Sam's sun room discussing Manya's desire to marry Makarand
She had thrown the bombshell last night after returning
Manya could have "waited" according to Sam
The crisis with Dolly and Atul was still simmering in Atlanta or wherever Dolly was, to have Manya announce her third relationship at such a time was not very timely
Sam had steered her to the sun room as she began talking boldly in the kitchen
Manya didnt care for anyone, she spoke what ever came to her mind

Lasya could be heard crying
"tchh" muttered Sam "Tu ruk yaha, PLEASE meri saasuma ke aage mat bol" Sam begged
"U think I am kidding?" Manya was pissed
"NO...NO...NO... I am not Manny" Sam begged
Manya picked up her purse and keys and walked out
Just as Tan brought a screaming Lasya to her
"Khaana kha le, mutton kebabs hain" Tan hollered
"I dont need any food Tan" Manny shouted, tearfully letting herself out
Sam's MIL walked into the giant lounge/living room
Sam stood where II sang on a floor divan once, at her baby shower
"Sam... theek karey nahi marinate?" she asked gleefully
"Ummm... sorry Mom" Sam really didnt care about marinated goat meat...
"Dekh ke kara karo puttar kaam" Tan's Mom said in a unhapy tone
Sam started going out of the house through the giant sliding glass French doors up front
Manya was starting her car whimpering
Tan was already after her
"Kya kaha toone usko?" he charged
"Umm... Tan" Sam eye signaled
"Maaaseee" Lasya cried more
Tan texted Manya she didnt respond
Sam went in wearily...
"Dad to khayenge nahi agar theek nahi baney to" she was told by MIL
sam didnt care...
Nandu was still at summer camp at his EU university
She began to cry and snuck out of there
Going to her room and called R&B
"whats going on?" he asked surprised
"Manny aayi. She said she was marrying Makarand... I asked her sochkar kar rahi hai na" Sam sniffled
"And?" R&B clenched his jaw, he was not too happy with Sam right now
"She left... I umm.. I told her not to tell mY MIL abt it YET" she muttered between sobs
"So u are ashamed of her?" he asked bluntly
II was hanging clothes in bothe their closets
Nivi followed II from room to room... waddling falling down getting up
"I am going with u, to get your elbow shown" II shouted
He grunted
"Can I talk if its the Doc?" she asked
"He grunted again
She paused by where he was leaning against the giant bath counter, the huge clear glass bowl full of water as she tried to rinse some camera casing...
"Tanni band pannu da... it will over flow" she shouted again (turn off the faucet)
NIVEEE, get out of there... RIGHT NOW" she shouted
Nivi was in R&B's shoe closet, trying to wear his blue Sperry
falling over
Sam was narrating how Manya had announced her decision to marry Makar
"U shud let her choose its her life" he said coldly
"So u think I am manipulating her?" Sam sobbed
"By asking her to hide it, asking her if she had thought through... umm.. yeah!!" he said, his tone ordering Sam to mind her own... umm..
II puased... suddenly realizing it might be Sam
She picked Nivi up and left the closet to give him privacy
She tidied Nivi's 2nd floor room, he showed up after 20 minutes
"Manya is getting married" he said leaning on the door jamb
II was facing the window
Her heart thudded...
