Ah! You hit me with so many things with this update Twiggy!! Nostalgia is draped all over me - I too visited this place a very long time ago - almost another lifetime ago!
I take my comment about your previous chapter back - THIS IS MY FAVORITE [est] chapter thus far.. That sojourn I was referring to on my status - We are all travelers sojourning somewhere between chapters of a book, or in the breaths of characters we read in a story. is right here.. in your update. Not just metaphorical - you have moved me from this side of the globe to the other side - with your Arnav. I felt like I was on the back of motorcycle, riding those roads.. and when he paused at the temple entry, I was with him.. breathing that salty air.. What a gift you've give me - a brief sojourn .. THANK YOU..
The next thing that hit me is the juxtaposition of his mother with the kanya goddess herself.. Both mothers, keeping a watch over their children. What a tribute to offer his mother - to revisit and relive her experiences with his own! Who says that death is the final frontier - life exists in the memories of our loved ones.. and thats what I got out of this chapter..
There are so many things that I can say about your writing - like - who needs dialogs to keep the reader engaged? Your update had no dialogs at all.. but you had me with you through out.. What else is there to say Twiggy! I didn't feel the absence of any one else in the story today. Your Arnav with his journey was plenty!
Keep writing my friend.. the joy you brought to me was a nostalgia of home.. yes, homesick I am.. for that smell of earth, for that sound of waves crashing.. for that blinding sunset in Kanyakumari.. :)
