Chapter 2

Reyaansh glanced at his wrist watch for the 20th time in the last thirty minutes and sighed . He somehow felt even the time was conspiring against him and didnt wish to move . All he wanted to do is run away from this suffocating four walled terror stricken hell which the people here addressed as workplace and set himself free . One more file and he was sure he would collapse then and there .

He closed his eyes and sighed . Much to his dismay , there was absolutely no way out of this bonded labor aka his 9-6 full time job . His attention hovered around at nowhere in particular when his eyes fell at the photo frame of Kria on his desk and a smile involuntarily crept on his face seeing her smile as if it was contagious . He always wondered how did she made him smile so effortlessly even in her absence . Well life was still worthwhile when she smiled afterall.

When he fell in love with her it was just a moment , an emotional snapshot, that he thought he would carry with him forever without any expectations . Maybe he had been lucky , very lucky , that person with whom he fell in love chose to be with him and made that fleeting moment , that snapshot more worthy than anything he would ask for .

He opened the door with their apartment and headed back to the bedroom as his eyes fell on Kria who was swaying on the swing with a few papers in her hands and her spectacles fixed on her tiny nose as she was concentrating hard on the papers in her hand , completely oblivious to his presence .

"Kria , you early today ? "

She looked upwards at him for a split of second and her attention again went to the work that she was doing . He frowned .

"Yes Rey the unit test started today so the school ended early so I took the test papers which I was supposed to correct and came home . I seriously need to make kids practice and improve on their grammar " , she flipped the page and twitched her nose never stealing him a glance .

He walked towards her and sat besides her ,slowly resting his head on her shoulders , startling her a bit as he gently swathed his arms around her affectionately .

She smiled at his cute antiques and kept her work aside and responded to his embrace with equal warmth .

"So is my baby tired ? " , she gently cooed into his ears as he snuggled more into her .

"Hmmm"

"So how was your day honey ? ", He felt soft digits coursing through his hair and he relaxed almost instantly .

"Like everyday , I felt the need of shooting my boss and then disposing his dead body in the nearby graveyard but then held back my urge as there are ten more days left for my next pay day " , she chuckled at his uninterested tone .

"Now get up Rey I need to complete checking the papers " , she tried to read adjust her position , only to earn a groan from him

"Rey you are such a kid at times . Get up ! "

He unwillingly loosened his grip around her and saw her getting back to her work again .

He kept on looking at her while she was all drowned in her work , keenly observing her little gestures . The way she pursed her lips beautiful lips when she found an answer incorrect , the way she twitched her nose when she wasn't able to understand the handwriting , the way she gets irritated when her spectacles slide down . How he wished he could sit next to her all day and admire her . He would have willingly done that without any qualms .

He stepped down from his trail of thoughts as he heard her laugh and he couldn't help but compare her voice with the wind chimes .

"Rey you know these kids are such adorable souls .. Listen to this essay on My Father written by one chummy . The child as written I called my father daddy . My mom says my father was born many years before me..."

It was not the petty humor but her blissful tinkerbell laugh that made him smile wholeheartedly as he felt his exhaustion evaporate in thin air . Even if he never willingly acknowledged the fact , he somewhere knew that she was indeed the only part of his life which he looked forward to , which made him feel alive . And at that very moment he thanked the almighty for bringing her in his life .She was his peace , his semblance , his happiness and always will be .

A/N :

Okay I know I am terribly late and would have forgotten that this piece of work even existed 😆 . It was just that I had become a bit too lazy and thought I wouldn't be able to give the flow to the story but then I read a few amazing AsYa's OS and felt the urge to write. I have written quite a number of stuff but still I am a newbie at FF's and SS as they require continuity and I badly suck at that. I just hope you guys like it . Reviews will be really appreciated ^__^
