Arnav just stared at the girl in front of him, unable to form any word. Did she just say, that...that...daughter?...like seriously...daughter?...Arnav's lips started stretching in a smile and soon he started laughing like a man who has just heard the joke of the century. He laughed, catching his stomach, till his stomach started aching. But soon controlling his laughter...he looked at the girl, she was staring at him as if he is the one playing prank here instead of her.

"Look, child! Ya that was really funny, see I laughed with all the catching my stomach and throwing my head back'. So I guess you have done a very good job here, now you can leave." said Arnav and moved towards the dining table to get himself a glass of water.

But as soon the glass reached his lips he heard the girl.

"I am not JOKING here! And don't you ask me to LEAVE! I have not taken sooo much trouble to just come here and leave, do you get ME?" said Jennifer widening her arms to show how much trouble she has taken.

Arnav drank the water and closed his eyes to cool himself a bit, and turned around to look at the girl, who was glaring at him with her big brown eyes.

"See, child. The prank is over, ok? I don't have any daughter! And suddenly you show up here one day and say that I am your daddy? And expect me to believe you that you are not playing any prank here? " said Arnav trying very hard to control his bubbling anger.

"See, I am NOT playing any prank on you! And I am definitely NOT lying here, you ARE my Daaddyy. I can give the proof here, so do you want the proof?" asked Jennifer, she doesn't like when someone thinks that she is lying, she never does that!

"OK! So you are my Daughter...oh no no no not daughter, long lost daughter! So little one, why can't I remember when had I lost you?" asked Arnav scratching his head pretending to think.

"You don't remember because you we have never MET before!" Jennifer tried to shout in her babyish voice.

"That's what I am telling, child! If this it is not some prank of yours than you are surely mistaken. For the last time I am not you daddy." said Arnav looking at the fuming child before him.

"And for the LAST time, I AM your DAUGHTER and I am NOT mistaken, do you hear me?" shouted Jennifer.

"Ok, you are my Daughter and I am Arnold Schwarzenegger!" mocked Arnav.

Now it was Jennifer's turn. Her lips stretched into a smile and soon the melodious voice of her laughter echoed the entire floor. Her one hand on her stomach, her head thrown back and she laughed like a mad.

"Oh, Daaddyy, you are so funny! Arnold Schwarzenegger?, like seriously? Oh sweet sugar! Daaddyy are not even a quarter of him. Have you ever seen him? Just see him and then look at you! See his muscles and then have a look at yours. Well its not that bad but Arnold Schwarzenegger? " and Jennifer was again found laughing at her Daaddyy.

Arnav looked at the girl laughing at his expense, no one laughs at him like that! He felt his temper raising . He is not here to entertain a child ! And this child in particular is getting on his nerves. He need to handle her now, and he will very well do it! Now!

"See, I have been very nice with you so far, even though you came barking in my house at this odd hour and then declaring me your daddy but now It's enough of your madness and just leave my house. If you need any help than go out, there you can find my guards, give them your address and they will escort you, ok?" said Arnav controlling his temper which was on the verge to explode.

Jennifer sighed, looks like her Daaddyy is not an easy nut to crack! So she caught hold of her handbag which was hanging on her arm, unzipped it and took out a photo and a paper. Jennifer went where her Daaddyy stood and getting hold of his wrist she placed the photo and the paper on his palm and gestured him to have a look at the photo.

Arnav looked at his palm and brought the photo to his eye level.

He started at the photo and than moved his gaze at Jennifer. She was staring at him expecting some reaction from him. He again looked at the photo. It was his and Khushi's college days photo. Even he doesn't have this photo than from where does this girl has got this? And than he heard the girl speak again.

"Confused, Daaddyy? You see the girl in your arms, in the photo, Khushi Gomes? Well, she is my Mommy and the man with her is My Daaddyy! Which, if I am not wrong is you! And the paper in your hand is my school admission certificate, that's the proof that I am Khushi gomes s Daughter" said Jennifer and again took another photo from her hand bag and gave to her Daddyy.

"Here, see this is my and Mommy's picture, so now do you believe me?" asked Jennifer in a innocent voice.

Arnav looked at the girl, who says that she is his daughter and than at the two photos in his hand. How is this possible? Khushi and he broke up long ago, almost...almost 8 years back than how? He again looked at the girl, now he knew why she looked little familiar earlier, she resembles Khushi, little. But how is this possible? And this picture doesn't prove that he is her Father!

"See, child I agree that me and Khushi were in relationship and we had...hmmm...I mean...we had...you know?...we had..." Arnav stammered, confused on how to make her understand that he and Khushi were in a physical relationship.

"I know! You carry on!" said Jennifer, crossing her hands on her chest and making herself comfortable on the couch.

Arnav looked at her sitting on the couch, expecting him to continue. He also went and sat beside her.

"Look, child! I agree that me and your Mom where in a relationship but how can I believe you? You may be lying and..." but Arnav was cut short by a very enraged Jennifer.

"Don't you DARE call me a liar! I DON'T lie, ever! Do you get me?!" blustered Jennifer.

Arnav was taken aback by her sudden outburst but nodded his head positively.

"Hmm..okkk...but still...you see...how can I just believe you...tell me one thing, child, Khushi lives in U.S., than how came you are here? And I can't believe that she allowed you to travel from U.S. to here, all alone! How is that you are here? Oh God! You are so so confusing me! Can you please start from the starting and tell be how and why are you here? " asked Arnav hell confused by all the happenings.

Jennifer stood from the couch and came in front of her Daddyy.

"Ok! So I will start from the starting, ok! You will listen carefully!" ordered Jennifer pointing her finger at her Daaddyy and waited for his answer. After getting a positive nod from Arnav, Jennifer started!

Arnav placed his palms on both side of his cheeks, elbows on his thigh and prepared himself to listen.

"So, starting from the starting I want to tell that I always wanted a Daaddyy..." but before she can continue Arnav cut her off.

"What?! So you decided to come here and started calling me daddy?" asked Arnav, disbelieve written all over his face.

Jennifer glared at his father!

"I ASKED you to first HEAR me out, haven't I? So why are you cutting me off in between. First listen the whole thing and than only I will appreciate any feedback from you!" said Jennifer, glaring at her father.

Arnav gestured her that he will keep quite by placing a finger on his lips.

And so Jennifer started again!

"So where I was? Yes, as I said I always wanted a father, so I use to always coax Mommy to tell me where my father is but she use to never tell me " pouted Jennifer but started again "But few months back when it was by 7^th birthday, Mommy asked me what I want as a gift and I asked her to tell me about my father and Volla! Guess what? She told me who my Daaddyy is, and that day I came to know the name of my father, Arnav Singh Raizada. She gave me that pic which I showed you just now. You know what? I liked you very much but let me make myself clear here only the looks, ok? But I don't like you because you never came to meet me and the same thing I told to Mommy but she told me that you never came to meet me because you don't know that you have a daughter! That subsided my anger a little bit. I thought, if you don't know that you have a daughter than how can you come to meet me, right? But she only told me that much, nothing else" again pouted Jennifer.

Seeing that her father was going to say something she started immediately.

"Wait wait, it's not over yet! There's more to tell. So as I told that I always wanted to meet you but Mommy always refused to let me meet you. I asked her the reason why? But in return she asked me if I am fed up of her? I mean how can she ask me that? If I want to meet my Daaddyy than it doesn't mean that I don't want her. But what to do? That kept me mum. And I never got the chance to contact you. But guess what? It looks like God himself want me to meet my Daddyy, so he turn the situation in my favor. You know Mommy suddenly had to leave for a two week long business trip to London and I came here to meet my Daaddyy" finished Jennifer with a broad smile on her face.

Arnav listened to his supposed daughter with utmost concentration, nodding his head whenever it was required. He listened to everything and saw that she finished her side of the story with a beautiful smile, which reminded him of Khushi. But still the question remains, Is she really his daughter? Her all the story and that pics doesn't proves that she is his daughter. May be after Khushi and he broke up, khushi was with someone else, in some other relationship? Heck! He himself had many, after they broke up than why can't she? But as far as he know Khushi, she will never lie to her daughter. Why will she lie to her daughter about her father. He doesn't see any reason to lie.

"OK! Agreed with your every reason, child but still I have some doubt. How is that you have travelled from U.S. to here, all alone and has Khushi left you alone there? I mean she would have kept someone to look after you, right? Aren't you afraid that the person will inform your Mommy? And you know...hmm...don't be angry, ok? But...hmmm...still I have doubt that ...you know... " trailed off Arnav.

Jennifer looked at her father, disbelievingly. After listening to her, he still has doubts? Unbelievable! But she can understand. How can he just accept her as his daughter without any solid proof? So now time to use the last weapon.

"Ok, Daaddyy, again listen carefully, ok? So as far as your first question is concerned, I would like to tell you that no I am not worried about what if mommy comes to know. Because she has left me with my Grandpa. And before you ask me why my Grandpa allowed me to come here, I will like to explain that. Once, Mommy left me with Grandpa, I started with my plan. Oh! Before coming to my plan let me tell you, my Grandpa is a darling, he is a sweetheart, I just love him! and now coming to my plan, so my plan was that, I did a little emotional blackmailing" giggled Jennifer "you see, with little tears and puppy dog face and Volla! My Grandpa agreed! He allowed me to come here, to meet you." smiled Jennifer. But her face fell immediately as she continued " And about your doubt than I can only say that, if you don't believe me than you can carry a paternity test, than you will get the proof that I am your daughter" finished Jennifer, gloomily.

Arnav looked at her gloomy face and felt a pang in his heart seeing her hurt. But he will carry on with her suggestion. Because if she wants him to accept her as his daughter than he wants a solid proof for his satisfaction and thus he called his PA to carry on with the paternity test.

"Hmmm... Aman?" said Arnav in the phone.

"I know it's 6 in the morning you idiot!" shouted Arnav.

"Ok...listen carefully, came at my place as soon as possible. And I will not repeat myself, I want you here, fast!" and Arnav disconnected the call.

Arnav kept the cell in his pocket and gazed towards Jennifer, she was looking upset, he know because of his current move but he can't accept her as his daughter just on the basis of two photos she has. But it pierced his heart to see her all upset.

But if she wants him to accept her than he will not do that before being all sure!

So, Guys how was it? I have my exam on Monday, and i have started with the HOC and HJTE but i am not done with it, so can't update that this weekend. I will update that on Tuesday or Wednesday. But i was done with this one, so thought of updating it.
