Call from Di-- check.
So Anjali is alive and well and is not the point of conflict. (not that I had ever expected you to repeat plot elements) And as always, she can sense when an important woman appears. Di ki sixth sense ke liye taaliyan ya?
But Arnav clearly harbours tremendous guilt over something.
Man, all this talk of past pain and having faith makes me jittery. Now if only I knew the genre of this story...
Ha! Now THIS I could see coming. How can Khushi not go to the dargah when Arnav is going? Not a chance. Good for you, Lavanya Kashyap.
Incidentally, I love this scene where Khushi is immersed in embroidery. It tell me how she BREATHES this work. She's not some random adviser or consultant. She knows what she's doing and can do the actual task too, if necessary. She fits in beautifully at Sheesh Mahal. Like you can imagine her as one of its erstwhile mistresses-- proficient in all the arts that are needed to run the house.
YAY for rewriting the Dargah scene. I do like it when ASR isn't being a complete asshole and also absolutely unreasonable, into the bargain.
This is how it was always meant to be between them. The potent attraction, the recognition of a kindred soul who shares their pain, easy conversation...
Oh what's this? Arnav has lost a brother. I was right about the mourning part. But why is he so GUILTY? Not to mention, Khushi's demons. Gah! I'll just have to wait.
Guilty pleasure et al. Tch tch, Arnavji, you are a goner. What a beautiful picture you paint, J! Of Khushi dancing in coral, whirling around the old room stripped bare, while Arnav watches in mute fascination! LOL. We have the beginning of Arnavji. I have to confess, I think it's quaint and sweet.
Missing painting? Black lentils, I sense. And a lunch date already? My my, Arnavji, you sure move fast. But I approve.
P.S. I hope you appreciate how difficult it was to not read the next chapter only because I haven't unres-ed heer.
