The Meeting

Chapter 5

ASR Mansion - Bandra (Mumbai)

9:15 AM

ASR was having his dinner with Aman standing beside him

"Uummm...Aman if u will keep staring at me even for a minute more, Im sure to get an upset stomach after some time!!!!...ok...Tell me do I provide u a salary to stare at me when I eat, or is ur salary so meager that you can not afford ur food that u r staring at me like a hungry dog????"

Aman felt embarrassed & to some extent insulted, but has ASR

ever been respectful...nope not to him atleast...or for that matter

not to anyone else either.

Aman also knew that this humiliation is no where near to what is

about to follow. He has been trying since yesterday to divulge the

news of the meeting with Ms. Gupta but couldn't muster enough

courage. He knew after hearing him out ASR would be mad...

real mad...god knows what would break & what would remain in

the room.

After sending a silent prayer to god he closed his eyes & counted

ASR stopped eating , his spoon in mid-air, he raised his eyebrow

with a look that said "did-u-not-properly-placed-your-brain-

inside-ur-thick-skull-before-coming-to-work"

Aman, calm down first gulp a glass of cold water, then reduce ur speed from 190 km/hr to 45km/hr. because at that speed ur tiny brain will give max efficiency''.

Aman gulped down 2 glasses of water & looked at ASR to judge his

mood

So...

Sir yesterday I went to Ms. Gupta's office and I tried to convince her for a meeting...but

ASR moved aside his plate & had his full attention on Aman.

Aman gulped audibly & tried to reframe his sentence excluding

'but' which he knew ASR for sure hated

She agreed for the meeting today at 11 o'clock...bu...uunnn...though she wants it to take place at her office.

ASR knew from the tone of Aman that there is more to the story

which he was not telling.

Aman u know very well how much I hate people hiding something

from me, so tell me everything in detail WORD-BY-WORD ASR

said stressing on the last 3 words.

With no option left behind Aman conveyed each & every detail of

yesterdays meeting. By the time he finished ASR was no where to

be seen, as he moved out of the hall in his search, his cell

beeped**

"I want her office address ASAP"

By the time Aman reached the parking area ASR had already left,

he quickly messaged him the address & called the driver to

pullover another car, settling himself along with ASR's bodyguards

he asked the driver to drive towards Rathore& Gupta law firm.

Rathore& Gupta law firm -Lower Parel (Mumbai)

9:45 AM

ASR zoomed inside the compound of the firm & parked his car just

infront of the entrance, locking his car he stormed inside the office

giving a damn to the watchman calling behind him.

The reception desk was empty, he turned to his right where a

couple of people were waiting for the lift, he marched towards

them, by the time he could ask any of them they were already

inside the lift, in his hurry he too entered the lift , he now noticed

that all of them seemed very busy 2 men both around 30, a young

girl & an old women , each either busy with a file or mobile ...he

coughed lightly to gain their attention ...but... no

use...they were totally immersed in their work.

Frustrated ASR called out rudely to no one in particular,"Where is Ms. Gupta's office?"

All faces turned towards him instantly, they gasped and widened

their eyes ASR smirked knowing now they will go all gaga over me

after all not everyone gets a chance to share space in a lift with

superstar ASR.

"To the right" came their curt answer after which they all moved

out as the lift chimed on 3 rd floor, as they dispersed ASR entered

the chaotic office quite shocked that people did not acknowledge

his presence. Though people did see him with a shocked, surprised

& mesmerized glances but none with star struck eyes. They

seemed too much busy to even spare a moment to him.

He moved toward the right straight to the cabin with blackwood door , the name plate read

Advocate Khushi Gupta

He gave a out a inward chuckle, who would in 21^st century be

named as Khushi!!!!, well I suppose some

50-60 year old oldie. Well he just hoped that she would not get a

stroke or asthma attack with the ordeal that is about to follow,

though he wouldnt be feeling guilty if she did because she herself

called for it by going against him.

Deep in his mocking thoughts he straight away barged into into

the cabin only find it empty he moved out and called out a peon

passing by, hey u listen where is Ms. Gupta , why is she not in her

cabin??

Sir, she comes to office at 10:15.

Dammit now am I now going to wait for her????

Peon just shrugged off his shoulders & moved away.

ASR settled himself on the visitor's sofa just outside the cabin

After 5 minutes

ASR was tapping his feet impatiently, silently soaking in the

minutest detail about office. Anger rising '.

After 10 minutes

ASR was furiously moving back and forth muttering profusely

under his breath, extremely annoyed at being made to wait for

some stupid excuse of a lawyer.

After 15 goddamn minutes !!!!

ASR was seething in anger, mad with rage, ready to strangle anyone

daring to ask him to wait even for a single minute more!!!!...

Where the hell is she??? What does she think of herself. Call her ...just call her & tell her that I have been waiting for her since last bloody 15 minutes & if she makes me wait more then I will surely burn down this f**king firm along with her. Got it. !!! ASR said

grating his teeth & intimidatingly hovering over petite secretary

ASR was busy venting out his anger on poor Rimi. when

A mesmerizing yet authoritative voiced called out from behind

him, "Rimi in my cabin, now"

Before he could see the face, the figure of girl clad in blue salwar

kameez with shoulder length hair moved into the cabin

whose occupant he was here to meet & who was surely on his hit

list now.

Before he could say or do anything, Rimi moved pass him into the

cabin conveying"Ms. Gupta is now here let me tell her about ur visit, I will be back in a minute sir ."

ASR now came into his senses, the girl that he just saw was the

Gupta and she just walked over me as if I do not exist !!!!!

HOW DARE SHE???????

She is so dead man!!!!so dead!!!!!

ASR blinded by his rage slammed the door and barged in !!!!!!!
