"Because I" Arnav darted daggers with his eyes at her, "do not wish to marry either. I would prefer to die ten times over rather than having to freaking marry a woman"

Khushi blinked at him twice, before making a terribly confused expression.

"And that explains??" she shrugged her shoulders.

"Exactly, But for a marriage of convenience, there has to be a marriage. Which with us, doesn't seem to stand a chance. So the proposal stands canceled, In fact, there wasn't a proposal in the first place at all"

"Great" Khushi replied. "I am glad I didn't have to think over it for even a minute"

"Payal! If Khushi asks for me, tell her I died while she was away and you cremated me in a hurry"

She pulled Payal's palm forward and sprinkled some generous amounts of talcum powder on it. "Tell her these are my ashes and it's rude to curse the dead"

Payal chuckled and then eyed her palm. "You aren't this fair Lavi"

"Oh shut up!" Lavanya groaned "add some cocoa powder to it"
