Arnav guided her towards a lake. She was mesmerized seeing the decorations. Fairly lights-my favourite! What is that? Hey Devi Maiya! Dinner?! We will be having dinner????!!!! And what about Buaji?! No no no! This can't be happening! I got to tell him!
Arnav guided Khushi towards the table. He was happy with the decorations and satisfied with the way everything was perfect. He knew that Khushi would love these.
Arnav- That's awesome! I have to thank Aman for this awesome arrangement. And in the short period of time that he did that. I have no idea what I would have done if my secretary would have been someone who never understood me. And after the dinner' Arnav thought about the plan and he had one of his best smirks showing off. Let this dinner be over first and '. Coming out of his sea of thoughts , he eyed Khushi and saw her smiling at the sight of the surprise. But there was something wrong. He could sense it, that smile wasn't a free of worries one. What happened to her? Did she feel bad about something?
Arnav held her chair and Khushi sat, still enjoying everything around her. She forgot about Buaji. Seeing her angelic face, Arnav couldn't help but stared. Khushi sensed his gaze and turned to face him, only to get drowned in those chocolate eyes. Khushi stared back, she couldn't take her eyes off his perfect features! She felt herself safe around him. Thinking about the effects he has on her, she smiled. Though it was a small one, it didn't escape Arnav's eyes.
Arnav: Hmm, that smile. That was so cute , what happened?
Khushi: Err, kuch bhi nahi Arnavji. Aap khade kyun hai?
Khsuhi motioned him to sit. Arnav turned towards his chair but didn't miss her cheeks turning crimson red! He smirked and held her chin up,
Arnav: Khushi, kya hua? You say nothing but I know there's something, jaldi bataao.. kya hua?
Khushi: Nothing Arnavji! Sacch mein!
Arnav laughed at her stubbornness. Dropping the idea of going around the topic, Arnav decided to ask her directly.
Arnav: Khushi, you're blushing! C'mon tell me what happened now! First voh smile and now you were lost in my eyes and when I asked about this blushing smile, you say nothing. Stop lying Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta! You have to tell.
Khushi: To be-Mrs Singh Raizada.
Khushi stood up and winked at him. Arnav was shocked seeing her like this!
Arnav: Wink? Did she just wink at me? Khushi? God! Yeh ladki kitna badal gayi hai!
Seeing him lost in his thought and that smile on his face, Khushi brought him back to reality. He blinked his eyes and smiled at her. Desperate to know why he was smiling, she arched an eyebrow, only to get a shrug from Arnav.
He turned to make his way towards his seat when he felt someone holding his hand, Khushi it was. Looking back and forth to their hands and to her, he was confused. She never did that.
Anrav: Khushi? What happened love?
Khushi: Tell me what you were thinking about?
Arnav: No, nothing. Some business matters!
Khushi: Business matters? Really? I am no fool, Arnavji! You're such a bad liar!
Arnav: No my sweetheart, who dared saying you're a fool! You're sanki. Bas!
On that he winked at her. Khushi pouted and gave it a second try.
Khushi: Tell me na? Were you smiling because of business matters or something else?
Arnav: Business matters they are to-be wifey. And also why are you bothered??
Khushi: Business matters? Oh! So now Mr Anrav Singh Raizada Smiles when he thinks about business matters! Did I miss something new?
Arnav got it. She was angry with him. And she was feeling insecure. He decided to tease her a bit as she didn't answer his questions.
He crossed his arms and faced his to-be wife.
Arnav: Yeah. I now smile when I think about business matters. You were the one to tell to smile more often right?
Khushi's mouth was in an 'O' shape.
Khushi: Yes! I did! But you never used to smile when you think about business matters and today you didn't attend your meeting so I don't find any reasons behind your smile!
Arnav: Oh! So there should be a reason behind my smile?
Khushi: Haan! That's how it is usually with people! Normal people smile when they have a reason! And you have no reason.
Arnav: Normal people? Point to be noted Ms Gupta, You are the one who calls me Laad Governor and khadoos! And now you expect me to behave like some normal human beings?
Khushi was trapped! And he was loving that scene so much!
Arnav: Chup kyun ho Khushi?
No reply.
Arnav: Khushi? Say something? Why are you silent?
Khushi: You were khadoos! And now you're totally gentle and sweet. Haan, yeh alag baat hai ki aap office mein abhi bhi ASR ho! That angry young man who can make the world stop working thanks to his anger! Or who can make a girl fall over the heels within seconds.
Arnav: And what about me being Arnav only? Can I still make a girl fall over the heels within seconds?
Khushi: Of course you can Arnavji! Those chocolate eyes an.. a.. and Arnavji, what are you doing?
Arnav was walking towards her. No, he was practically charging on her! Khushi felt weak, that intense feeling in his eyes, the passion. She bumped in the wall, coming out of her thoughts, she realised that she could no longer move backwards. She glanced towards the wall and back to Arnav who was smirking.
Khushi: Hey Devi Maiya! He's so handsome! How can someone be so perfect?? He's just the'
She was brought back to reality by someone being so close to her. Arnav was really close to her, a bit too close! She tried to escape from him but he blocked her. She was trapped! Trapped by the most handsome person in this world!
I would never mind to be trapped by him like this. He's too perfect! I can stay here forever!
She stopped her thoughts! Knowing where they may end! Too late, she was blushing excessively now! Arnav Singh Raizada never misses an opportunity to accomplish something and this one! Certainly not! He held her by her waist, and brought her closer to him. Khushi stared at him, clueless what he wanted!
Being a 'lioness', she tried to get rid of his hands but his firm grip didn't allow her to move away from him. She accepted defeat and closed her eyes, allowing her skin to get used to the warmth radiating from Arnav, enjoying this closeness. She knew that she was blushing but unaware that she was as red as a tomato. Arnav was happy of the results he got. Holding up her chin, he whispered
Arnav: Khushi, open your eyes darling.
That was it! She could no longer bear that closeness , the way he whispers, the way his lips brushed hers. She held her chin higher and kissed him. Soft, passionate and intense.
Khushi backed , examining Arnav's expression. On the other side, Arnav was shocked! He never imagined that Khushi would kiss him , well at least not like this. She wasn't shy, she was actually bold enough.
From the shy Khushi, she is now someone who makes sure she gets what she wants. Yet, that blush was so cute on her. The moment was a special one, the love between them was so obvious, even someone who doesn't know what is love would have got the definition.
Arnav: So being Arnav, I just made someone fall over the heels Again right?
Khushi: You did that because I said that?
Arnav: Well, I just wanted to know the effect I have on you. *winks*
Khushi: Haaw! Yeh raamanchi hai!
Arnav: What? Raaman- what?
Khushi: ufffo! Raamanchi! Cheating!
Arnav: What? Cheating? What cheating?
Khushi: You cheated as you kissed me to test what effect you have on me!
Arnav: Well, slight correction. I wasn't the one who kissed you first, you did. I just gave you the opportunity to see how much you are affected by me.. You know? Like you said, make a girl fall over the heels!
Khushi stared at him, disbelieved! She never thought that she would have said such things! The thought added some more to the blushed cheeks.
Arnav: Hmm, control your blushing Khushi. Otherwise I may kiss you, this time I will kiss you.
Khushi smacked him in his chest and hugged him.
Khushi: Aap kitne besharam ho gaye!
Hugging her,
Arnav: Mujhe itni pyaari patni mili hai, so it's obvious right?
Khushi: Aur mujhe duniya ke Best pati!
For a few minutes they both stood like that, hugging each other and not talking.
Khushi: Arnavji? Can I ask you something?
Arnav: Sure Khushi, go ahead.
Khushi: Why were you smiling? Did I do something bad?
Arnav: Khushi? Paagal ho gayi? If you do something wrong I will smile? I was smiling seeing the change in you. And I was smiling , remembering the fact that you winked at me. So we got the wink, we got the kiss and we-...
Khushi: Haw! Kiss!! Arnavji!
Arnav: Ab itna sharmaa kyun rahi ho? Our very first, real kiss, I know And I was totally shocked not to lie to you.
Khushi: I know, I can understand! I don't know what happened to me and I just did it.
Arnav: Yeah! But I love this new Khushi. Okay now stop blushing! One person can't blush that much right? The chefs may have trouble to differenciate between you and a tomato.
Khushi: Whaaat?! Hey Devi Maiya! Why do I blush that much?!
Arnav: But I love it. Khushi, my turn. I replied to your question. In fact I lied to you saying I smiled due to some business matters when actually it was because of you.
Khushi: Yeah I knew it! You're a bad liar you know?
Arnav: Dear to-be wifey! Please allow me to continue and complete my explanation.. I wanted to tease you as you didn't answer to my question when I asked you why are you blushing. So now, would you answer it?
Khushi: What? That was the reason behind this lie! God! You're impossible Arnavji! Uum, voh actually... The way you were staring at me and when I looked in your eyes, the way I feel it's magical! So I err, I...
Arnav: So you blushed! Khushi! Tum bhi na? You could have told me that and we have gone through so many ''fights''... we could have avoided those!
Khushi: Well I agree with you but those fights were actually nice and cute!
Arnav: So toh hai!
On that, all the matters were resolved and he hugged him, enjoying the light breeze. Khushi was the happiest girl in the world when she realised that she forgot to tell him about Buaji and time was running!
She broke the hug, looking at her watch and started searching for her phone.
Arnav: What happened? Why are you so worried?
Khushi: Arnavji, voh.. Well I forgot to tell you , Buaji asked me to come back home early today. I completely forgot that! I remembered when I came here but afterwards'. I am so dead Arnavji!
Arnav: Khushi! You could have told me right? Now what will you say to Buaji? Here, take my phone and call her.
Khushi: Good idea as my phone is missing! Perfect!
She dialed her number. On the second ringing tone , Buaji picked up.
Buaji: Haiye Nandkishore! Kaun hai?
Khushi: Buaji hum hai , Khushi!
Buaji: Haire Sanka Devi! Aaj ghar anne ka plan nahi hai ka? I told you to come early today!
Khushi: Haan Buaji! Jaante hai hum! Sorry Buaji! Voh zarasar, Arnavji hume
Buaji: Kya? Anrav babua? Tumhre saath hai ka?
Khushi: Haan Buaji, voh mere saath hai. I completely forgot Buaji! I ..err.. I agreed for dinner and I completely forgot about the fact that you have asked me to come home early.
Buaji: Yeh dekho! Ka baat hai titaliya! Dinner vinner kya baat hui aur humre baat bhool gayi? Abhi ke abhi hume Arnav babua se baat karvraoh!
Khushi: Lekin Buaji, mere baath toh suniyeh!
Buaji: Kuch nahi suna hai humko! Bas babua se baath karvaoh!
Khushi handed over the phone to Arnav. He took his phone and listened carefully to what Buaji was saying.
Arnav: Haan Buaji, theek hai.. Ji main samajh gaya.
Buaji: Theek hai babua, dhyaan rakhna aur uss Sanka Devi ka bhi! Kucho nahi batanaa babua!
Arnav: Don't worry Buaji, all will be fine and I will return Khushi as soon as she finishes her dinner.
Khushi was worried and hearing this last statement, she looked at Arnav, unaware what was happening! Buaji disconnected the phone.
Khushi: Dinner? Dinner? Don't tell me Buaji agreed on that!
Arnav: Well, she didn't agree just like that, you will have dinner with me. Khushi? Tomorrow is Karva Chaut na?
Khushi: Haan! Kal Karva Chaut hai aur hum vrat rakhenge!
Khushi finished, smiling ear to ear.
Arnav: What the?! Why are you going to fast? I know your answer but what's the logic behind?!
Khushi: You're truly impossible! It's for your long life! And I want you to have a long, long , long life!
Arnav: Huh? Paagal ho gayi ho? Long, long, long life?! I will be old Khushi! And life without you isn't life baby!
Khushi: Aaaw! Kal.Haiye! We'll have those sweets at night! Jalebi! But I will have to stay away from food! OMG! That's why Buaji asked me to come earlier!
Arnav: Yeah! That's true! And now I have the responsibility to make you eat well as tomorrow no jalebi nothing!
Khushi: Haw! Arnavji! Don't make me jealous na?!
Arnav: Alright! Chalo khana khate hai!
They had their romantic dinner! And the evening was a romantic one, the environment was perfect and with a perfect couple, what could have been asked more?!
After the dinner, Arnav dropped Khushi at home. He cancelled his plan after the dinner when he got to know that his sweetheart would be fasting the whole day for him! He was already planning something. What was it?

The next morning Arnav woke up quite early and witnessed the whole preparations.
That was it! I am in this! Just breakfast. Yeah! If Khushi can pray for my long life, I will. Even if I don't believe in it but I need My Khushi forever in my life!
The day was a hectic one and with Arnav's plan. Well! He was hell busy! Meetings, Khushi's calls asking him whether he's gonna come to break her fast and so on. He had his breakfast as usual, toast and juice. But afterwards, as per the plan. He was fasting!
Khushi , on the other side, was busy in the kitchen, preparing those sweets and wanting to eat them! She had a tough time with the devil in her! But thinking about Arnav, she calmed herself down and cooked. Afterwards came the mehendi time! She had so much fun but was missing Payal who on the other side was at the Raizada's mansion. Khushi was unaware that Arnav was fasting. All that she knew was that at 6pm she's going to Her Arnav's place for the Karva Chaut pooja.
She was humming her favourite song '' Aaj mausam hai suhana'' and was having fun with her friends, and of course! She was loving how Buaji scolded her! She's gonna miss that! She was sad when she thought that she will soon get married but she was the Happiest girl on earth today!
Everyone was very happy to find their Khushi happy. Khushi's parents and Buaji had tears in their eyes. They were all praying to keep their Girl happy! Always happy! Let her smile. Like she was right now.
Who knew this would have been a short-lived happiness?
It was 5pm and Khushi was getting ready to leave for Arnav's place when the phone rang. She ran in the living room and picked it.
Khushi: Hello?
Anjali: Khushi ji?
Khushi: Di!
Anjali: Haan! How are you doing?
Khushi: I'm fine Di! You say? In fact you know? I was getting to come over at your place' Voh err.. Is Arnavji already home? He promised to come back early!
Anjali: Well, yes Khushi ji. He's home! He...
Khushi heard someone calling Anjali from behind.
Om Prakash: Anjali Didi, jaldi aayeh! Arnav bhaiya isn't too well, his sugar level is low!
Khushi heard it all! Within seconds her happiness vanished!
Anjali: Kyaa?! I'm coming! *back to Khushi* Khushi ji, Chotte ki sugar level low hai! I called you to ask whether you knew he was fasting! Hello?
No reply.
Anjali: Hello? Khushi ji, you there?
Khushi: Yes I am. No Di. I didn't know that he was fasting! Is he okay? I mean is he just feeling dizzy?
Anjali: I have no idea. I am going to see him. I will call you and let you know soon. We'll take care of him. Get ready and come to us soon, Chotte aur hum sab aapke intezaar karenge.
The phone got disconnected.
At the same time Buaji came in the living room.
Buaji: Haiye re Nandkishore! Aie Sanka Devi, ka hua? You have to go to Arnav babua's place! Get ready!
A tear rolled down Khushi's cheeks. Buaji noticed her crying and went to her.
Buaji: Khushi? What happened bitiya? Why are you crying?
Khushi: Buaji.. Arnavji... He fasted!
Buaji: Arnav babua fasted! That's so sweet of him! It's rare to find this kind of husband! Par tum kyun ro rahi ho?
Khushi: He's got diabetic problems as you know! His sugar level went low. I am really scared Buaji.
Buaji: Arey pagli! He will be fine!
The phone rang.
Buaji: Lo! Here's your call ! C'mon! Pick it up!
Khushi wiped her tears and received the call.
Anjali: Khushiji? Anjali here. Can you please come? As in right now? Arnav is unconscious!
