Chapter1

Khushi looked at him speechless! The Arnav Singh Raizada was proposing her!! The man she loves and wishes to spend the whole life with. Shocked that ASR has changed to Arnav, Khushi kept staring at Arnav. He couldn't bear this silence anymore.

Arnav: Answer me damn it!

Regaining her voice, a very sure response, it all happened.

Khushi: Yes.

Arnav couldn't believe that she finally spoke after holding his breath!

Arnav: Khushi, I love you. I love you Khushi Kumari Gupta'and I should be adding the Singh Raizada to the name now,right?

Arnav teased Khushi , hugging him,she blushed and tears rolled down her cheeks. The man who hated her and whom she hated too at a time has proposed her! After so many bad and difficult times,they have been able to convert this love-hate relationship into a love one, this was the happiest day of Khushi's life and so of Arnav's.

The Raizada family was elated when Arnav announced the news and presented Khushi as the to-be daughter-in-law of the Raizada Mansion. Khushi was the daughter-in-law they have always wanted. She has been able to change the rugged ASR into Arnav,who was now devoting time to his love & family, who attended ''pooja paaths'' even if he groaned and complained'!!

The Arshi wedding had been decided in the coming month-very less time. Khushi had mixed feelings; she was going to get married to Arnav and spend her whole life with him but on the other side she will have to leave her maternal house,her mom & dad who love her immensely and whom she also loves, her room where she and her elder sister used to have fun during their childhood. How she missed her sister! Payal, it had been 2 months since she last met her' She had flashbacks of Payal's wedding with Akash, Akash Singh Raizada-the younger brother of Arnav'

*flashback*

Khushi: Jiji!

Payal: Hmm

Khushi: Jiji! Talk to me na? You will soon leave me

Payal: Arey pagli! Why will I leave you? We'll be meeting every now and then na?

Khushi: Oho Jiji! Aap bhi na.. You won't be here everyday, whom will I trouble? Whom will I tease? Who will be here to save me from Buaji's anger? Bataayeh na?!

Payal: Bas Khushi! Aur kitne savaal karogi tum? At least allow me some time to give answers or bas aise hi savaal pe savaal karti rahogi?

Khushi: Accha, aap boliyeh' I will keep quiet.

Payal: Tum bhi na? Sacch mein Sanki ho!

Khushi: Haan, haan, jante hai hum! Now shall we? I need some answers.

Payal: I am getting married Khushi, this doesn't mean that I will forget you. I know that pain and weird feeling you are having and same is happening within me. It's worst. I will leave you, Amma, Babuji, Buaji' It's not easy. I have decided to settle down in my life but this will be emotionally tough' I will always be here' Jab bhi Buaji naraz honge, tum mujhe jhat se ek call dena, I will manage to save you. Khushi: Haw! Kab? Kyun aur Kaise?

Payal: What kab,kyun aur kaise?

Khushi: You said I tease you very well on phone as well' Mujhe toh kuch nahi yaad hain'

Payal: Accha? Kuch nahin yaad hai tujhe?

Khushi: Na Jiji, aapko kuch galat family ho gayi

Payal: Main? Misunderstanding? Who phoned me when I went on date with Akash? Who was calling me each time and teasing me? Yeh bhi bhool gayi?

Khushi: Arey haan! *giggles* So you remember these huh?

Payal: Of course I remember pagli! Tujhe kya lagi? Main nahi jaanti ki tera iraadaa kya tha?

Both sisters laughed and hugged each other.

*End of Flashback*

Khushi sighed!

Oh Jiji! How I miss those days! I wish you were here with me! I know we meet at times,but I need you. *sigh* Arey! Kya idea hai Khushi Kumari Gupta?! Soon Singh Raizada' Here I come!

On thinking about the Singh Raizada being added to her name, Khushi blushed!

It was around 1.30pm and Arnav was in his office,working on a file. A beep and the sound brought Arnav back to reality.

Arnav: What the?! Who is it now?

He checked his phone and a smile appeared on his face. He sighed.

I had no idea that I was missing you so much!

Arnav opened the message: I need to talk to you about something. Urgent. Call me ASAP! Love you, Khushi <3

Urgent? What happened to her?

Arnav dialled Khushi's number within fraction of seconds. He got scared reading her message. She has never been like that. ASAP? This is girl will turn me mad!

Sound of the dial tone was only thing he could hear' No answer!

Damnit! What's wrong with her?! Have a phone but wouldn't answer it!

He tried her number again. He patiently waited to hear her melodious voice. Some seconds later, no answer!

What the?! Damnit Khushi!

He was still groaning when his phone rang. He checked the name. KHUSHI. He answered.

Arnav: What the hell is wrong with you damnit?! I have been calling you and can't you just answer the call?!

Khushi: Arnavji, why are you shouting at me? I was with Amma, my phone was in my room' You just blast at me for no reason' I ' You' *sobs*

Arnav: No! Damn! She's crying!

Arnav: Khushi? Khushi are you there?

No reply! He could hear her sobbing. He was cursing himself for making her cry!

Arnav: Look, Khushi I am sorry! You sent me a message love saying you need to talk to me about something and it's urgent. I got scared. I called you twice but you didn't answer my calls. Khushi? Are you there?

He could hear a sigh.

Khushi: Yes I am and I heard you. I am sorry too, I should have brought my phone with me.

Arnav: And would have talked to me in front of your mom?

At Gupta's house, Khushi had an 'O' expression on her face and was turning red as a tomato.

Arnav: So my beloved fiance is blushing over there right?

Khushi: No! Who said that? I am not blushing!!

Arnav: Oh really?

Khushi: Ji haan!

Arnav: Stop lying Khushi! I know you're blushing. Now tell me what happened?

Khushi: What happened?

Arnav: Khushi? That's what I'm asking you. You messaged me, what happened?

Khushi: Oh haan! Hum toh bhool hi gaye!

Arnav: Unbelievable! Now tell me, don't test my patience.

Khushi: Testing The Arnav Singh Raizada's patience would be a bad thing-I know it. I am going out in an hour or so, I am meeting Jiji and Jijaji' Can you come?

Arnav: I have a meeting in a few hours. When are you guys meeting?

Khushi: Approximately at 2.30pm at the Paradise Caf' Can you make it? Please?

Arnav: Hmm, I see' I'll call you back in a few minutes. I will ask Aman when is the meeting scheduled for exactly.

Khushi: Oh! Okay then' Fine!

Arnav: Alright' Is everything okay?

Khushi: All's good, why?

Arnav: I can feel a sudden change in your replies. What happened love?

Khushi: I expected a positive answer from you this time but it seems that Arnav Singh Raizada will always remain the same!

Arnav: Oh really? We'll see Miss Gupta, whether you have the right impression on me or no.

Khushi: Why am I having a feeling that you're throwing your best smirk over there?

Arnav: Maybe because I am. Okay Khushi, I will talk to you later now.

Arnav cut the call. Khushi sighed, thinking whether he will come or no. She was trying her best not to allow her mind to hold high expectations.

It was a little before 2.30pm and Khushi was already at the Paradise Caf,waiting for Payal and Akash. She reserved a table which was separate from the main Caf, it was more peaceful and they would be on their own. She checked her phone a number of times.

I will talk to you later! Hmpf! He never called again! Never! When will he change?! Hey Devi Maiya! Can't you change him a bit? We are getting married soon for God's sake!!! I need him to give me some time! Sirf business business business! What about me?! Agar yeh mere bas ki baat hoti to main' main'. Main ..! Uuugh!

Arnav: Tum kya Khushi?

An 'O' expression formed on Khushi's face! She was thinking out loud!!

Stupid you Khushi! What the hell did you do?! Hey Devi Maiya! Raksha karna mera!! Aur madat bhi!!!

She got up and turned around, only to face Arnav standing next to her! Gosh! How can someone be so handsome? She could feel herself blushing!

Arnav: Toh Khushi? What were you saying?

Khushi: Err, nothing much! You heard what I said so why are you asking me again?!

Arnav: Yeah I heard you but if you still remember you have a sentence to finish' So? What would you do?

Khushi: I have no idea! I just want you to spend some quality time with me!

That was it! She broke into sobs!

Arnav: What the?! Khushi!

Without any delay, he hugged her. She cried,like a baby. She managed to find her voice.

Khushi: Kya app humse pyaar nahin karte hai kya?

Arnav: Khushi! What are you talking about? Of course I love you! I love you more than anyone!

Khushi: Then why didn't you call me back? Why did you end our conversation in a hurry? Why did you say you have a meeting to attend when I told you I am meeting Jiji and Jijaji today???!

Arnav: First I didn't call you again as I wanted to surprise you. I ended our conversation in a hurry as I had to talk to Aman urgently. I had a meeting to attend and I '

Khushi broke the hug and he stopped talking, looking at her with a confused expression.

Khushi: What? You had a meeting? Had? I thought you have a meeting to attend!

Arnav: If you had allowed me completing my sentence you would have known why I sad had and not have. I cancelled the meeting.

Khushi: Whaaat?! Why did you do that?

Arnav laughed seeing her reaction.

Arnav: Because I wanted to spend some time with you. You yourself asked if I could make it, remember?

Khushi: Yeah I do! And I want us to spend some time with each other as well. But you cancelled the meeting? With whom was it?

Arnav: With Mr Joshi. But it's okay, Aman has already scheduled another meeting for next week, so we will catch up.

Khushi: It's okay?! It's okay Arnav?!?! Are you kidding me? We have planned to invest in his company since a long time back! And now that you have a meeting, or rather you had a meeting, you cancelled it?

Arnav: Khushi, calm down. Everything is normal now. It was just a meeting to finalise the latest deals. This won't affect any of us. Just calm down, okay?

Khushi: But..

Arnav: You asked me to spend some time with you and now you are asking me to get back to my business mode?

Khushi couldn't believe her ears! Oh shut up Khushi! You look like a confused soul right now. He cancelled a meeting! For You.

She wiped the tears and without any hesitation she hugged him.

Khushi: No. Never. You're with me and that's what I want. I am your fiance and not AR company!

Arnav laughed on her last statement! Khushi groaned but ended up laughing as well. They were both lost in their pyaari si hug that they forgot they were in the caf . Someone cleared her throat. Arnav broke the hug and turned, the ''What the?!'' already in process when he saw Akash and Payal. Khushi became crimson red and ran to hug her sister. The two brothers gave a brief hug while the sisters were wiping each other's tears'.

After such a long time they were meeting, the two cousins gave an understanding nod and decided to calm down the situation in case we have a ''tsunami of tears'' . After the emotional moment they took their seat, waiting for the coffee.

Payal: Vaise I never knew that my little sister has grown up so much. I mean hugging so openly in a caf?

Khushi started blushing again and Payal laughed seeing her baby sister in this state.

Khushi: Jiji, it's a caf but we are in the reserved corner so'.

Payal: So you could afford a hug, right? *giggles*

Khushi: Oho Jiji! Aap bhi na!

Arnav and Akash have been listening to the sisters' conversation and they tried their best not to laugh when Payal teased Khushi. They were both so happy seeing their love laughing and enjoying themselves.

The sisters chatted while the brothers discussed about their business.

After long minutes of chats, Payal and Khushi gave themselves a break but what a decision it was! All they could hear was business deals, investors, the planned investments and so on'

Noticing the change, the two brothers stopped their discussion and found the girls staring at them. They got it! Enough of business talk'

For a change, they started talking about the marriage.

Akash: So Bhai? What have you decided? I mean on the decorations and all?

Arnav: Yeah, Mr Sharma will be taking care of the decorations of the hall and for the interior design at home I mailed you the samples' photos' Did the designer meet you?

Akash: Tomorrow we'll be meeting and we'll finalise the designs you and Khushiji have chosen and also

Payal: Tomorrow you guys will be meeting yes but that was supposed to be today.

Khushi: What do you mean Jiji? Any problem?

Payal: Not at all Khushi, but your Jijaji has postponed the meeting with the designer and also an important meeting' Some positive changes we can see.

Khushi: Haw! Really?? Even Arnav did that, I am so glad that he'

Khushi stopped talking realising Arnav was looking at her and his eyes were gleaming. They laughed seeing Khushi like this .

Payal: So finally we can conclude something- the brothers are changing!

Khushi: Absolutely right!

Arnav and Akash loved these ''taunts'' and they both agreed that they were changing indeed!

The couples enjoyed their coffee and had a wonderful time together. Time flew and they had to get going.

Arnav opened the door for Khushi to step in. She smiled and sat in the car while Arnav gave her a crooked smile. Khushi was puzzled. That was a mischevious smile! What is he up to now??

Arnav drove towards the garden nearby. Khushi was in a state of shock when she saw that this wasn't the way to GHouse.

Khushi: Arnavji, what are you doing? Where are we going? I need to get back home and you have to take some rest as well .

Arnav: Khushi, ssshhh, I know what I am doing, there's a small surprise for you.

Khushi: Surprise? Kaisa surprise?

Arnav: Khushi agar main tumhe surprise ke bare mein batoonga toh phir yeh ek surprise nahin rahega ,right?

Khushi: Haan magar'

Arnav: Enough. We are going somewhere and you have to come!

Khushi pouted! Arnav glanced at her and sighed. Again! He lost control on his temper. God! Khushi, I wish I could tell you but I want to see your reaction. Sorry Khushi.

He drove past the garden. Khushi stared outside. Hey Devi Maiya! He isn't going to the garden, toh kahan lekar jaa rahe hai?

She took a deep breath and asked him what was his plan. She expected a new answer but'. She turned and faced the view outside. She decided not to talk to him again.

How could he? How? Each time it's the same! I am not allowed to ask anything! Surprise? Surprise is to make your partner happy! And what are you doing Arnavji? Can you see me Happy??! Hey Devi Maiya! I have no idea what will I be saying to Amma, Babuji ' aur Buaji?! Tu toh gayi Khushi!

She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't realise when Arnav stopped the car. He was already opening the door for her. Haiye! He's such a gentleman! Nahin Khushi! You have to pretend to be angry.

She stepped out and looked away. She could hear Arnav's sigh. Her heart was dancing, she could feel the closeness between Arnav and her.

Arnav guided her towards a lake. She was mesmerised seeing the decorations. Fairly lights-my favourite! What is that? Hey Devi Maiya! Dinner?! We will be having dinner????!!!! And what about Buaji?! No no no! This can't be happening! I got to tell him!
