CHAPTER ONE

"Hello...good..morning...eeeverryyboddyy...this is your 8 A.M RJ ,Akira. What a b-e-a-utiFUL day, isn't it? puur-fect for being happy...some say...if the begenning of the day is good...the rest of the day is gonna be bad...way too bad..well...I think thats not true..right? orrr. wrong..? Okay..i will stop blabbering and here the question for today...what do you do..to make someone smile..? Call on 432901 and lets see the tons of different answers we are gonna get and until then here goes the new hit pop song.."walks like rihanna.." by THE WANTED. "
She switched off the radio getting irritated beyond the normal level. "what do you do to make someone smile?" She repeated question...biting her lower lip, waiting for the green singal. She tapped her fingers lightly on the steering wheel thinking for an answer although the answer was on the tip of her tongue. "Bring flowers every monday and Starbucks coffee to please your skinflint..frostly nosed boss " How she hated her boss. The way she dressed, her coiffure and the way she spoke in her weird accent...nodding in her..usual sarcastic manner...always spoilt Kriya's mood. And today was ofcourse monday. She kept cursing this day because of two main reasons. First one was because it was too far from friday and second was because of the different flowers she had to get for her boss. Her friend, no correction her bestie, Sharon always made fun of her and roll on the floor in merriment. Finally the signal was green and she headed towards the florist.
"May I help you mam? " asked the florist who was too pretty to be a florist. "she could have been a model" Kriya thought but her doppelganager popped out of no where asking her to focus. "Flowers!! orelse your gonna get fired..you know your boss" She pushed her thoughts aside and replied.."A dozen carnations please "
After collecting Starbucks coffee, she finally reached the botique where she worked.She placed the flowers in the usual vase beside the billing counter taking in the musky fragrance of the flowers. They were few customers strewn around the botique and she saw Sharon doing her job giving an aplomb to her customer that dresses her last longer than relationships. She was a bit tall and slender with stubby brown hair which culred above her shoulders. A real go-getter. Kriya loved her bestie and the only person shes going to love after her parents who were dead. Sharon, althought was different among others but she was the one who showed how storng KRiya was by being with her during the hard times and her huge feral mammoth hug always send senere signals down her body. Kriya was a bit taller than Sharon and was a replica of her mother. Her prominent chin under her oh-so kissable lips and her chocolate brown eyes got many guys breathless. She was consummate and filled with gusto and energy but now a days this invigorating Kriya was lost. She became quieter and stayed disconneted from many people. Nobody but Sharon knew why.
"hey...lucky gal..The octopus hasn't arrived yet..." Sharon said walking towards her with a huge smile.
"Aww...her bad...her coffees gonna get cold...but who cares?" Kriya replied as if she had no energy..
"yep..nobody cares..by the way...you are coming tonight right? Sharon questioned.
"tonight where? " came the reply as kriya started arranging the "new arrivals" on the shelves.
"who are you and what did you do to my besite? " sharon asked placing her arms on kriya's shoulders.
"huh? what? " kriya replied in her confused tone.
"well...miss who ever you are...where is my bestie...whom i always call my "reminder diary" ! gosh...dude...you are seriosly forgeeting things...if i hadn't called you up today...you would have forgot that its monday" Sharon replied dropping her arms and sighed heavily.
"what are you trying to say...? i mean come to the point.." kriya replied...facing Sharon who was fuming now.
"you forgot about my aunt's orchestra party..?" kriya's eyes widened as sharon asked.
"oh..my...gosh...i'm so sorry sharon...i totally forgot about it..i will not be able to come over tonight...i'm so sorry...i have..um...few...plans.." kriya replied looking at her feet.
"plans? really? what plans huh? curl up in a corner..and finish reading a novel...because tomorow u gotta return that book or afraid that you will meet someone...fall in love and then your heart broken again..? come on kriya..! this is life...we can't help it..maybe the person you will be seeing tonight may be different...and it isn't necessacry that you will fall in love at first sight ? and plus first love is always not true...you gotta get out of your apartment...and enjoy...love happens so does a break up...and that...guy...kriya...he doesnt desrve you...and i am sure you will find a guy much better than him. This guy was a badass." Sharon explained looking into kriya eyes which where sad and upset.
"yeah...you are right...i will be there..." replied kriya.
