SS: Towards A New Dawn

Part Three :

"I'm sorry Lav" he said pressing her hand, "it all happened so fast that I couldn't think how to stop it".

"It doesn't matter now Arnie! Its all over! Isn't it the same who texted me? You could have called me to inform! But NO! You wanted to get rid of me, right?" she yelled.

"Its not like that Lav! Things were so different there! Try to understand please!" he pleaded while Lavanya turned her face away in anger.

Khushi was looking out through the window, waiting for him. She had made dinner ready and was waiting just for Arnav to return from office. Beeping phone of hers caught her attention and she reached the phone lying on the bed.

"Arnavji calling"

She read the name flashed on the screen and picked the call.

"Khushi I'm busy with meetings. I'll be late. Don't wait for me and have your dinner. I'll eat from office canteen." Said Arnav and pocketed his phone without letting Khushi utter a single word… including "Hello"!

"Chalein?" he asked Lavanya who was seating on the passenger seat who nodded in reply and clanged to his arm and they zoomed off to Lavanya's home.

Khushi was in a deep slumber when he reached the home. He glanced at the clock. 1 am. He changed into his night clothes and slipped in the bed besides Khushi.

She looked so innocent while sleeping. How didn't he notice it all these days? Her angelic face, milky white skin, black silky hair. A strand of hair was disturbing his vision. He slowly locked it behind her ear and soon, slept with his lips curving into a smile.

She woke up sun rays irritating her sleep. She opened her eyes flattering to find herself in arms of her husband holding her protectively. His arms encircled around her waist and a cute smile adoring his face. She slowly got up without disturbing his sleep and went to bathroom.

Days went flying and soon Khushi realized that Arnav doen't love her as much she expected. He would be late everyday and would never eat the food she made for him. She decided to find out the truth behind this and started her mission.

"I want to meet your wife ASR! I want to meet the girl for whom, you are always ready to go home early and ain't interested meeting me" Said Lavanya with tears brimming in her eyes.
