The question of whether he is a real man notwithstanding, let's think of it this way, if he says yes to Salome without thinking it through, then obviously he is not a man who takes his married state very seriously or with any significance. If he says no to Salome, once again without thinking, then what? he's able to wash his hands off of her and their 3 year relationship that quickly? Personally, I think a real man is someone who treats the matter with the gravity that it deserves without jumping to a quick answer, whether it's based on a ready moral judgment or the reverse....
Decision are made either way, would Gaurav take a minute or a day, can not change the decision that is already made!
Gaurav had already made his decision on Salome when he married Vidya (with Salome consent?). Did he know that his decision now decides the fate of three people and for some reason I think one of the three (Salome) would be OK! As long as he stays committed to his decision!
Morals are subjective judgements which carry no value when dealt with 'matter of hearts'!
