Chapter Sixteen (b)
Sitting in her room, she took off her bandage to see her "new" ring again. Seeing it closely, she felt the love, the warmth of Mayank. She was loving the lovely feeling. Then, suddenly she heard a knock. It was coming from the window of the room. No one else could be there other than Mayank, she knew it.
She quickly opened the window, and he entered the room with the same old method. Though, the method was old, but this was now there favorite method.
When he came inside, while taking a sigh of relief, he sat on the bed.
Mayank: Lagta hai ke hamari shaadi mein barrat leke bhi mujhe aise khidki se hi aana pade ga.
Nupur smiled and hesitated to this, and went to lock the door. Then, she came to Mayank and slowly rested her head on his chest. He wrapped her in his muscular arms.
Mayank: Kya hua?
Nupur: Aaj maine uss insaan ko dekha... jisse main phir kabhi nahi dekhna chahti thi.
Mayank without guessing replied,
Mayank: Sameer ko dekha na?
Nupur: Han. Mayank, woh... Sameer aya tha...
Mayank: Kya keh raha tha?
Nupur: Mujhe dhamkaa raha tha.. keh raha tha ke meri zindagi tabah kar dega... maine bhi usse keh dia..
She said while sitting in an upright position.
Mayank: Kya keh dia?
Nupur: Keh kisise bachke rahe..
Mayank: Kiss'se bachke rahe?
In his heart, he knew the answer. He did this just to hear that from Nupur's mouth.
Nupur: Tumhe nahi pata?
Mayank: Ummhmm,
He nodded saying No.
Nupur: Mr.Mayank Malhotra.
She said while cupping his face.
Mayank smiled.
Mayank: Don't worry, mere hote hue, woh kuch nahi kar payye ga.
He said while cupping her in his arms from backside.
Nupur: Promise?
Mayank: 109.
Both giggled to this.
1 hour later, Mayank was sitting in the hotel where he was staying, when from the window, he saw the market. There, he saw a figure which was really familiar to him.
He cleared out his vision and panned at her, when she turned around, she was non other than, Mrs. Shilpa Malhotra.
He went downstairs, just to have a glimpse of his mother. Just to see her from a little distance.
As soon as he looked at her from backside, Shilpa noticed that someone was seeing her. As soon as she looked back, she was surprised to see her son standing behind her.
Shilpa: Mayu!
Mayank bowed his head.
She quickly hugged him. Mayank hugged her back.
Shilpa: Kahan tha tu?
While breaking the hug.
Mayank: Maa, main woh.. Mumbai mein tha. Roshni ne mujhe dhoka diya tha Maa.
Shilpa: Jaanti hoon.
Mayank: Apko pata hai?
Shilpa: Han. Tere jaane ke 2 din baad Roshni ne apne pasand ke ladke se shaadi kar li. Which proves ke woh ghalat thi. Leikin tu ghar se kyun chala gaya?
Mayank: Kyunke app dono meri shaadi usse karwa dete. Aur meri life hamesha ke liye kharab hoti.
Shipa: Aisa nahi hai beta. Tu aik baar hamse baat toh karta, main aur tere dad..
Mayank interrupts.
Mayank: Dad? Huh, wahi na jo mujhse hamesha nafrat karte the.
Shilpa: Woh tere dad hain Mayank. Tujhse bhala nafrat kyun karen ge?
Mayank: Hamesha se mere saath rude the. Time bhi tha mere liye unke paas?
Shilpa: Mayank, tu mere saath ghar chal.
Mayank: Main nahi aaon ga.
Shilpa: Meri baat nahi man'ne ga? Abhi kahan ruka hai tu?
Mayank: Woh, samne wale hotel mein.
Shilpa: Jaake apna samaan le, aur mere saath chal.
Mayank: Par maa.
Shilpa: Main gaadi mein hoon. Agle 10 minute mein samaan leke pohonch jaa gaadi mein.
Mayank gave her a faint smile and went inside, in the next 15 minutes he was there in the car and went back with his mum to his house. There, he patched up with his father. And now, all was ok between Mayank and his family. So, he went upstairs and called Nupur.
Nupur: Hello.
Mayank: Hi Nupur. I have a good news, guess karo.
Nupur: Guess karana bandh karo Mayank, aur seedhe seedhe bolo na.
Mayank: I patched up with my parents aur iss waqt apne ghar mein hoon.
Nupur: Wow. Itni achi hai yeh toh. Kaash mere parents bhi mujhe samjhte. Leikin woh Sameer.
Mayank: Uss Sameer ka toh kuch karna pade ga.
Nupur: Mayank tum Sameer ke saath kuch aisa waisa mat karna.
Mayank cracked out laughing and said.
Mayank: Theek hai Nupur, I won't rape Sameer.
Nupur: Mayank u are impossible.
Mayank: 3897.
He said controlling his laughter.
Nupur: Will u please shut your mouth up Mayank?
Mayank: 468.
Nupur: I hate u!
She said and disconnected the phone.
Mayank sweetly whispered "I love u too, Nupur.". And pressed his phone near his chest.
The next day, a phone call of Nupur woke up Mayank, as usual.
Mayank in half sleep said,"Kya hua Nupur?"
Nupur: May..ank!
He noticed that she was crying.
Mayank: Kya hua Nupur? Tum ro kyun rahi ho? Sab theek hai na?
Nupur: Mayank, main Sameer ke naam ki mehendi nahi lagwaoon gi.
Mayank: Nupur. Kya tumhe mehendi lagwane wale hain?
Nupur: Agle aik ghante mein Mayank. Mayank? Main ghar se bhag aoon kya?
Mayank: Ghar se mat bhagna Nupur.! Main nahi chahta keh tumhare parents tumhe misunderstand karein. Bhaga ke shaadi karni hoti toh kabka kar chuka hota tumse shaadi main.
Nupur: Mayank leikin.
Mayank: Nupur, main kuch sochta hoon. Pehle tum rona bandh karo, come on wipe ur tears right now. Main tumhe rote hue nahi dekh sakta na.
Nupur smiled and wiped her tears seeing how much he loves her.
Mayank: Nupur, aik idea hai.
Nupur: Bolo.
Mayank: Tum bister mein leit jao, and just tell everyone ke u aren't well.
Nupur: What!! Mayank, I am defo not doing this.
Mayank: Tum meri girlfriend ho ya apne rules ki? Come on, do what I say, baaki sab leave it on me.
He said and disconnected the phone.
