Well...friends, this part opens up lots of the past story. If you remember I had mentioned on the first page that the story has a another pair in it. This part will tell you which pair was I talking about and how they change the story...😳
So go ahead---
Part-10:
She woke up in utter confusion. For a few seconds her head felt a little heavy. She got up and faced the mirror in front of her to see a very different face. The dark circles beneath her eyes and even her headache reminded her of last night's tears. Strange how she could do absolutely nothing to end her pain...or rather end her life...all she could or HAD TO DO was fight...and face the world.
After what happened yesterday with Mayank that she was not going to the office was obvious but she had to get herself a job and so she set off in search of a new job. Leaving home that day, was no longer that bubbly Nupur Bhushan who always believed in "smile-no-matter-what"...She was serious and solemn. That morning, Nupur promised herself that she would not let anyone else enter her life or hurt her.
The past night hadnot spared even a moment's sleep to Mayank Sharma. He had been thinking of Nupur and Nupur alone all night!!The past night, he just sat silently on his bed. Angry with himself for he had been crazy the previous day. After long hours of judgement, he finally spoke:"Is sab mein Nupur kahan galat thi?"He kept on wondering. It was her confidence and honesty that she told him on the very first day of her job that she was doing the job for "some reasons she couldn't share"...it was her sincerety and loyalty towards her work and employer that she had helped him out in his project...they were her emotions that came out in tears in office once...but then what was it which made her possessive about him the other day?What was it which made her face glow and then blush when he went nearer to her?---somewhere in his heart he knew the answer!!But that wasnot the only question!!She had said Pari wasn't her daughter then whose?And if not hers, why was she fighting for her custody?---many questions and only one person to answer them all!!He hurriedly got up from his bed, freshened up, took his car keys and left home!!
Ridhimma had finally got sometime free at home to open up the letter but before she could do so the bell rang. She opened the door to find Mayank Sharma standing in front of her. Mayank clearly noticed Ridhimma's expressions were a mixture of anger and frustration. Anger---for she knew it was Mayank because of whom Nupur had been in that bad a condition previous night for she had clearly noticed that Nupur had started liking him and frustration---as to why couldn't he leave Nupur alone?!When she didn't offer him to come into the house, he asked:"Ander aa sakta hoon!"
Ridhimma went inside silently and Mayank followed. Mayank looked here and there in the house and when Ridimma noticed it she said:"Nupur yahan nahi hai..wo...wo interview k liye gayi hai!!"
Mayank knew what she meant and so didn't question further.
Ridhimma cooled down a little and said:"Aao...betho.."
Once Mayank had settled, Ridhimma said no more for she didn't want to start an argument but Mayank came straight to the point:"Sorry.."
R:"Kia?Kis liye?"
Mayank told her all about the previous day and then Ridhimma could no longer keep her anger to herself:"Pehli baat Mr. Mayank Sharma---Pari Nupur ki beti nahi hai aur agar hai bhi toh kisne tumhein yeh haq dia k tum usse aise sawaal karo?Woh tumhari employee hai aur uski personal life mein kia hota hai usse tumhein kyun farak parta hai?"
Mayank highered his tone a little:"Kyunki main usse pyaar karta hoon!"
When Ridhimma didn't say anything he said:"Ridhimma...main ne aaj tak yeh baat khud apne aap se bhi nahi kahi..par tumhein bata raha hoon that I really love her!!Isi liye Pari ki baat jaan kar mujhse yeh bardhaasht nahi hoa k Nupur ki zindagi mein koi aur..."his voice died away. He then said after a while:"Please Ridhimma...please mujhe batao k Pari kaun hai..kia hai Nupur ka past?"
At this Ridhimma looked at him for a while and then as if feeling assured that he was the right and the only right guy for her sister, she got up to get something. When she returned she had a photo-frame in her hand. She handed it to Mayank and settled down. In the photo-frame was Ridhimma, Nupur, possibly their dad and someone else...
Ridhimma then started:"Yeh....Shashi Bhushan..mere papa aur yeh unki teen betiyaan...main, Nupur aur sab se choti...Gunjan!!Hum teeno beheno mein Gunjan sab se zyada sehmi rehti thi aur papa ki laadli thi...par...ek din papa ko pata chala k Gunjan apni college mein parhne wale ek ladke Samrat se pyaar karti hai...Kyunki Samrat ek middle-class family se tha, Papa ko yeh rishta manzoor nahi tha par woh dono ek doosre se itna pyaar karte the k papa ki marzi k khilaaf jaa kar shaadi karli...Us k baad Papa ne mera aur Nupur ka Gunjan se milna band kar dia...hum...hum usse chup chup kar milne jaate the. Ek saal baad, Gunjan ne Pari ko janam dia...lekin ussi k saath..."she paused for a while and then said:"Wo...wo chali gayi...aur hamare paas ek choti si Gunjan chod gayi...Samrat toh jaise toot hi gaya tha..wo..wo Pari ko kaise sambhaalta jab khud usse sahaare ki zaroorat thi.."
She stopped again and wept for a while..
Mayank:"Phir?"
Ridhimma:"Humein laga k itna sab hone k baad ab papa ka dil pighal jayega...par nahi..woh toh..woh toh Pari se sakht nafrat karte the....Jab Nupur ne Pari ko apne saath rakhne ki baat ki toh papa ko yeh kabhi manzoor nahi tha k unki jis beti ne un k bharose ko toda..us ladki ki beti is ghar mein aaye...Samrat k parents ko bhi Pari ki custody chahye thi...baat mutual understanding se sulajh sakti thi par nahi...papa maan ne ko tayaar hi nahi the...unho ne court case kar dia kyunki woh yeh jaante the k court Pari ki custody us k father ko hi degi..."
She broke down and Mayank got her some water. She then continued........
