Nupur-inspector confrontation.Nupur vows to save mayank.Another attack.Nupur gets a video & in that she sees mayank's bracelet.She is shocked to know that mayank is the murderer.

PART-15:

Nupur sat on bed still in shock.She was thinking & thinking.Hours passed by & she didn't even realize that it was 2 am.

N(thinking): mayank…mayank kaise???(she remembered the inspectors doubts.) toh kya inspector sach keh raha tha?(she remembered all those attacks & how mayank would always be somewhere else during every attack.) mujhe vishwaas nahi hota.Mera mayank itna gir sakta hai?kuch samajh nahi raha.Yeh video aur saare clues se yahi lagta hai ki mayank hi woh murderer hai.Kyu kiya tumne aisa mayank(crying)??Kitna pyaar kiya maine tumse.Kya tumhaara pyaar jhooth tha??kya humaare beech jo bhi hua woh sab jhooth tha?kya tumne sirf mere jism se pyaar kiya hai?(she started crying more)…mayank….mayank…(the name kept repeating on her lips.)

She sat in front of the mirror looking at her own reflection.Her eyes swollen & red.Face was wet with tears.She wanted to question her ownself where did she go wrong?Why did mayank do this to her?How easily she was fooled by him….She was indeed a fool she thought.She was fool to fall in love.She was fool to trust someone.Her eyes fell on her neck & she saw the chain mayank had gifted her in morning.Her hands reached the chain.She wanted to remove it & throw but she couldn't do it.Her hands remained stuck on the pendant of chain.She couldn't remove it.It was like separating her own body part from remaining body.She couldn't bear the pain she was getting.She closed her eyes.She saw mayank's smiling face in front of her eyes.She remembered their very first meeting when they were small.She remembered his shoulders on which she would always cry.She remembered the hands that always wiped her tears.She remembered their cat & mouse chase when they would pull each others leg.She remembered the first time she hugged him.She remembered their childhood.She remembered how they were always teased.She remembered all the times when he would work cutely while she would keep ordering.She remembered their confession.Their lovely dates.A smile formed on her lips when she remembered everything.She opened her eyes.

Nu(still thinking): nahi mayank aisa kuch nahi kar sakta…main mayank ko bachpan se jaanti hu…par yeh saboot….dimaag kuch aur kehta hai aur dil kuch aur…kiski baat sunu?

She closed her eyes again & again saw mayank's smiling innocent face.Somewhere in her ears the murderer's dialogue rang "mayank ko toh wasie bhi tumhaare paas aane ki sazaa milne waali hai…"

She opened her eyes yet again.Yes that's it.She was sure this was the murderer's plan.He very smartly was trying to put all blame on mayank.She wiped her tears.She felt light after realizing that this was the murderers plan.But somewhere she felt guilty for letting the thought come in her mind.How could she be so dumb?But now she knew what she had to do.She instantly got up & quietly went out of her room.The light in passages were dim.She walked slowly & reached mayank's room.She knocked on it thrice.Mayank was in deep sleep.He got up startled.He looked at the watch.It showed 2:30 am.

Ma(to himself): itni raat ko kaun aaya hoga?

He opened the door slightly & peeped out to see nupur standing at his door.He opened the door fully.He was worried to see nupur at this hour.Nupur came inside & mayank closed the door.

Ma: kya hua nupur????tum theek toh ho??

Nupur hugged him hard.Tears formed in her eyes.Mayank was surprised at her sudden action.He knew something wrong had happened coz nupur hugs him like this whenever she feels sad or guilty regarding something & like always he carrased her hair trying to soothe her.

Ma: kya baat hai nupur?

Nu(still hugging & crying): I'm sorry mayank….i'm sorry….

Ma: kis liye?

Nu: mujhse bahut badi galti ho gayi mayank….kuch pal ke liye maine tum par shaq kiya….please mujhe maaf kar do….

Mayank made her sit on bed & himself kneeled on floor near her legs.

Ma: kaisa shaq?

Nupur told him all that happened since morning.She told about inspectors doubts & how she blasted him.Than about the video & how for some time she blamed him & believed that he was the murderer until her heart told her the right thing.

Nu: I'm sorry mayank…(folding her hands & begging)…..tum chaho toh mujhe maro…mujhse gussa karo…par please meri iss galti ke liye mujhe chod ke mat jaana….please…

Mayank caught her hand & kissed them.This made a hyper nupur to calm down.

Ma: main tumhe kabhi chod ke nahi jaa sakta…tum jaanti ho tum mere liye kya ho…sirf isliye ki kuch pal ke liye tumne mujh par shaq kiya main humaare pyaar ki bali nahi chadne de sakta….mere liye tumhaara vishwaas sabkuch hai…tumne mujhe aakar sab kuch bata diya isse zyaada mujhe aur kya chahiye?mujhe khushi hai ki humaara pyaar itna mazboot hai ki woh darinda humme alag nahi kar paaya….aaj humne uski ek koshish naakaamyab ki hai toh kal aur bhi karenge….woh chahe jitni galatfemiyaan daalne ki koshish kare hum aise hi milkar uski har chaal ulti kar denge…dekhna dus din issi tarah khatam ho jaayege…aur hum issi tarah saath honge….

Nu: par mayank woh inspector…

Ma: mujhe inspector ka koi darr nahi…maine koi galat kaam nahi kiya…jab tak koi proof na mile woh inspector kuch nahi kar sakta aur kyunki maine kuch galat kiya nahi usse mere khilaaf koi proof nahi milega…so just relax…..tumhaara mayank yahin tumhaare paas hai…koi humaara kuch nahi bigaad sakta…

She hugged him again but this time with full relief in her body.

DAY 24^th:

The police was functioning in full force while the decorations were on full swing.Needless to say Nikita's death was the talk.No one still had a clue of how she died.People were waiting for the remaining 6 days to get over.They were scared of when & where next attack would happen.If the murderer is not caught in 6 days it would be a joke on the police & CID's who were investigating this case.On the other hand nupur was fully tensed & worried as to what will happen after 6 days & moreover she wanted to save mayank from the mess.She didn't give the latest video to police worried that they might see the bracelet & misunderstand mayank to be the killer as per the killer's plan.But she had no clue how to save mayank.She wanted to eagerly talk to the killer for the 1^st time ever but he didn't call her after sending the mms video.May be he knew she desperately wanted to talk to him & so purposely he was avoiding her.Luckily that evening she got a call from private number.She ran to her room on the pretext of forgetting her purse so that she could talk alone with him while the gang was amused at her sudden run.She locked the door & received his call while panting as she was out of breath.

(Mu=murderer)

Mu: shaant ho jao…zaraa thandi saans toh lo….itni bhi kya jaldi hai mujhse baat karne ki?

Nu(breathing heavily): tum mayank ko kyu fasaa rahe ho?

Mu: fir mayank???lagta hai mayank ko pehle humaare beech se dur karna hoga….fir hi tum puri tarah se meri ho sakti ho…

Nu: tum mayank ko kuch nahi karoge….

Mu: waise kitna vishwaas hai tumhe mayank pe….inspector ne kaha fir bhi tumhe yakeen nahi ho raha…tumhe kya lagta hai ki main mayank nahi ho sakta?

Nu(smiling cunningly): tum mayank ho hi nahi sakte….main apne mayank ko bahut achi tarah jaanti hu…mayank tumhaare jaisa gira hua nahi hai…tum chahe jo karo par mujhe mayank ke khilaaf nahi bhadka sakte…

Mu: hahahaha…...bahut pyaar karti ho usse….woh toh tumhe che (6 days) din baad pata chal hi jaayega ki main kaun hoo….waise mujhse baat karne ki itni jaldi kyu thi tumhe?

Nu: isliye tum teen din se mujhe call nahi kar rahe kyunki tumhe pata tha ki main tumse baat karna chahti hoo?

Mu: ofcourse jaaneman….meri nazar hamesha tum par hoti hai…tumhe bechain dekhne mein mujhe badaa sukoon milta hai…

Nu: tum mayank ko fasaana bandh karo…

Mu: kya matlab?

Nu: tum mayank ko kuch nahi karoge….tumhaari ladaai mujhse hai….mayank ko isse dur rakho….main jaanti hu inspector ke dimaag mein mayank ke khilaaf tumhi ne zeher bharaa hai….kaise yeh main nahi jaanti…aur main jaan nab hi nahi chahti…bas mayank ko chod do….

Mu: ufff!!!!!kya pyaar hai….chalo pehli baar tumne mujhse kuch maanga hai toh main tumhe niraash nahi karooga…par har cheez ki ek kimat hoti hai…

Nu: tum jo chahte ho main karoogi….par please mayank se dur raho…

Mu: theek hai toh aaj ki raat mere naam….

Nupur was shocked to hear this.

Mu: kya hua?bolti bandh ho gayi?mayank ke liye kuch bhi karne ko tayaar ho na toh yeh kaam karo….mayank par mere ilzaam nahi aayenge….ab main aur intzaar nahi kar sakta….main jaanta hu tumhaare che din (6days) abhi-bhi baaki hai par kya karu mera jism nahi manta…roz tumhe dekhte hi mera khoon khaul uthta hai….mann karta hai udhar hi aakar tumko apna banaa lu….par yeh dimaag nahi maanta…dimaag har cheez plan karke karna chahta hai….ab jab tum kuch bhi karne ko tayaar ho toh yeh kyu nahi?

Nupur was still shocked & trying to register his words.Tears formed in her eyes.If she said yes that means it would be last day of her life & if she said no that means mayank would also come in trouble.

Mu: kyu mayank ke liye kuch bhi karne ko tayaar thi na?waise bhi kuch din baad tumhe meri hona hi hai toh aaj kyu nahi?hum dono ka kaam aasaan ho jaayega…..agar mujhe aur intzaar karwaaya toh tu toh pakka maregi hi par saath mein mayank ko bhi main nahi choduga aur agar aaj raat ke liye tu tayaar hai toh kamse kum mayank toh bach jaayega…..isse achi deal kya ho sakti hai?aur waise bhi woh kahaavat suni hai na 'kal kare so aaj kar,aaj kare so ab…'

Nupur was still in thoughts not knowing what to do.She knew if she had to save mayank she would have to do this.

Nu: theek hai….main tayaar hoon….par kya guarantee hai ki tum mayank ko kuch nahi karoge?

Mu: guarantee toh kuch nahi hai…bas tumhe mujhpar vishwaas karna padhega….agar mayank ko bachaana hai toh tumhaare paas aur koi raasta nahi…waise bhi kal tum zinda thodi bachne waali ho….bhagwaan ke paas pahunchkar dekh lena ki mayank theek hai ki nahi….(and he started laughing at his own joke)…..kab aur kahaan milna hai yeh main tumhe raat ko sms kardooga….agar tumne koi chaalaki ki ya apna iraada badla toh tumhe bahut badi kimmat chukaani padhegi….

Nu: tum jaisa chahte ho waisa hi hoga….agar mere marne se mere apno ko shaanti ki zindagi milti hai toh mujhe yeh kubool hai…mere baad tum mere kissi pariwaar ke sadasya ya mere kissi dost ko kuch nahi karoge…

Mu: isse kehte hai pyaar….kaash main tumhe istmaal karke chod sakta par marna toh tumhe padhega hi kyunki ek baar meri shakal dekhkar koi nahi jee sakta…..main kaun hoon yeh kabhi koi nahi bataa sakta…aaj ki shaam jitna jeena chahti ho jee lo kyunki aaj ke baad tum kissi se mil nahi paogi….aur haan woh nightgown pehna mat bhulna jo maine tumhe gift kiya hai…raat ko baarah baje tayaar rehna mere sms ke liye…..bahut mazaa aayega….

Nupur kept the phone.She had tears in her eyes.She didn't know if her decision was right or wrong.

Nu(to herself): mujhe maaf karna mayank.Main jaanti hoon kal jab tumhe sach pataa chalega tum bahut naraaz hoge par mujhe yeh karna padhega.Tumhe bachaane ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakti hoon.Apni jaan bhi de sakti hoon.

Saying this she opened a drawer & removed a bottle containing poison.
