Nikhil learns that Ananya, who is lovingly called Anu, is the mother of his child... Tulika wants Ananya out of Nikhil's life so she plots to disgrace Ananya. At an office picnic, she drugs Ananya and clicks compromising pictures of her with Anuj and shows them to her family. The shocked family forces Ananya to marry Anuj. Nikhil comes to Ananya's house to solemnise her engagement with Anuj. After the ring ceremony when the dancing and singing is going on, Nikhil moves out to answer his cell phone. Anu, who is already tormented with the thought of marriage, is unable to take it any more and runs away from there. Meera sees this and goes after her calling her Anu. Nikhil hears Meera calling Ananya, Anu. Nikhil reacts to the name Anu and is shocked when Meera confirms that Ananya is lovingly called Anu.
