Okay so, i'm back with another topic. These days i'm watching epis in record time..in complete ff mode, coz tbh, things aren't making much sense to me. Anyway, that's a seperate issue. Today's episode left me wondering abt a few points...so thought of sharing wid u guys..
1. JV's wedding anniversary...hasn't it arrived at a super sonic jet speed? My jaw literally dropped when i heard Swamini say that tommow is JV's anniversary n the choda ceremony will be held. And not just me, even the couple's face had shock written all over them. Viren smiled for a bit...but seeing Jeevika's face, that smile obv faded. I can still somewhere justify it for Jeevika...but Viren also doesn't remember their anniversary?? At least, it seemed to me that he doesn't. All these days, he has been sitting free at home...doing nothing as such...just finding chances to romance wid his wife...and he didn't even remember that its their special day coming up??
2. If its JV's anniversary...this means, 2 days prior to it was Manvi's b'day. Whether i have amnesia or the CVs, coz i clearly don't remember Manvi's b'day being celebrated two days before her sister's wedding. Gosh...have mercy on me, CVs...i can't afford to have amnesia!
3. Why this rush...as in why has this anni come out of the blue n all of a sudden?? Is it some last minute addition in the track...coz if it was preplanned, the Rishikesh party could've stayed 2 more days for the anniversary. Someone from the Vadera's could've asked them to stay back for the family celebration. Also, NONE of them, be it Beeji, or anyone else mentioned abt Jeevika's big day...WHY?? Isn't it kinda strange?? Its the elder daughter's wedding anniversary, and everyone in her family is ignorant...even Manvi...coz we didn't see her excited for it. It ain't any small thing for her...she n her partner could've planned SOOO much for their siblings.
4. Manvi...a CANCER patient, she fainted coz of high fever...n some random doc is called to check her. No issues...it was just a routine check up. My main point of concern is...why no one called Dr. Mannan to discuss this sudden development?? A cancer patient fainting, for whatever reason...shouldn't the doc who is treating her be consulted?? Viren was so busy in those "cute moments" wid his wife, that he even forgot to tell Jeevika abt Dr. Mannan's very imp. phone call?? Where is the responsible Viren gone??
I'm NOT against these cute JV moments...not AT ALL...but tbh, they shouldn't be the ONLY thing left for them. I'm yearning for a JV TALK! There were a couple of times, when they both were alone n Viren walked to Jeevika...i SOOO wanted him to talk, them to talk...abt MANVI...abt her treatment, how to go abt it, which docs to consult, contacting Dr. Bakshi n all. Seeking permission to sleep with the sister n those awww kinda moments are indeed very cute...but there has to be MORE to this couple now! Situation demands them to be more mature in their relationship, coz its not just a difficult time for Jeevika, its equally testing for Viren also. I would've LOVED if they discussed, talked n then a good night kiss on the cheek. This would've made my dayyy!!
5. Since the time Manvi has come to Chandigadh, WHAT is the status of her treatment? Isn't there a fixed schedule of the chemo sessions? A lot of tests, regular check-ups etc have to be done...but here, no one is bothered abt even getting an appointment from the doc. Seriously, this insensitive handling of a disease like cancer irks me to no end.
6. Mr. Viren Vadera...WHY is he roaming around in the house like a bhatakti aatma?? Its as if he's only a joru ka ghulaam...who just wants to romance his wife...n that's abt it. A[art from this, the ONLY other thing that he does is...give Virat lectures on love. Like REALLY?? And OMG...what happened to Virat?? The writer was majorly confused while writing dialogues for him. Did he actually say, that he doesn't want to marry "some" girl coz of his status n all?? Hello...i thought u love Manvi. Anyway...the writer is the weakest link of this show...n i've completely given up on the dialogues...so, this shouldn't come as a surprise.
7. As per the latest dhamaka, its JV's wedding anniversary tomorrow. In that case, shouldn't the couple be having their private celebrations at mid night? Viren surprising Jeevika, wishing her n all...n then him planning for their special day?? We don't know whether its been mid night yet or not...but from the precap it doesn't seem that there would be any thing of this sort.
My rant over...bring on the chappals now. I'm not only expecting them for this post...but am absolutely ready for them too 😳😆
-Edited-
Just have a few clarifications...
I read a friend's (ita_04) comment saying that its NOT JV's wedding anniversary tomorrow...rather its their choda rasam. I went back to watch the scene again...and yes, it IS their choda rasam tomorrow. Thanks for correcting me, buddy!
However, even if its the rasam...this has come totally out of the blue. Swamini clearly said that JV's wedding anniversary is APPROACHING...n if it is...then the question abt Manvi's b'day, a few days before virika's wedding persists. As far as i remember...the show started much prior to their wedding...n there was nothing regarding Manvi's b'day then. Also, like another friend has mentioned...Karva Chauth n Diwali were also there before the wedding...so, the CVs plan to change the whole calendar...or we'll get each of these things before the anniversary?? In that case, how come the anniversary is appraoching...aren't diwali n karwa chauth round the corner then??😕
Another thing...IF its the choda rasam tomorrow...was it the ONLY time when Swamini could phodofy this dhamaka on Jeevika?? WHY this rush...n sudden inclusion of choda n anniversary? Already Jeevika was worried sick coz of Manvi...her sister had high fever, she had fainted...and Swamini comes with her gang n direclty makes the accouncement, as if it was the ONLY imp n relevant thing to be said...Manvi jaye jahan bhi? Doesn't the family eat n sit together at FIXED timings where this could be discussed/announced?? Vanshika went to call Jeevika for dinner...there wasn't ANY mention...in fact, when was the last time the MIL-DIL talked, i don't even remember.
If Swamini etc. were planning for the choda rasam n seeking mahurat (they mentioned it sometime back, when they asked Jeevika to select the new choda)...then WHY didn't they ask Beeji n all to stay for just 2 more days..or a few more days, tentatively...n be a part of this very imp celebration?? Like i said in my main post...the Chaudhry's, the couples siblings, the couple, even the Vadera's (except Swamini)...ALL seem to be completely ignorant of this grand occassion. Could it get more weird?
The diaolgue regarding the rasam n anni was very confusing. I read the WU also, the updater also wrote abt the anniversary being tomorrow. I've been saying this for weeks now...the writer is leaving no stone unturned to ruin the show. Sorry, but the dialogues take the impact away of EVERY scene. I"m still watching the show coz of KT-KD...dunno for how long i'd be able to continue if things remain the same
P.S.: Have posted a note/combined thanks on Pg. 4 😳

Here's the thing... there is no logic to Soaps.

That being said, the CVs follow the TRPs faithfully. If they went up with whatever current track they were playing, they'll keep stretching and dragging it.
So that's what they are doing. Hence, Virain is at home, they have an excuse for a celebration - so the Choudharys can attend and collect their paychecks for acting this month out - and they drag the Viraat-Maanvi love angle because that is about the only 'tension' left in the whole show.

They have made a very 'sweet' show and are now searching ways to add some spice to it without offending their fan-base.
Saas-buhoo... done
Vamp... done.
Family drama... done. (possibilities left)
Illness... done.
Jeevika's pregnancy... coming up.
Maanvi at death's door... coming up.
Love triangle?

In the meantime, we are treated to filler episodes.

I so agree with you. The CVs do a great job at creating moments and relationships. But do little to foster the magic. Consistency is beyond them but they sure as hell are innovative. 👍🏼

Agree wid u, Jayne. This TRP race indeed kills a show. Sometimes, i really wonder that is it the same show that used to have such a natural feel to it...the characters were so real...there was sensibility n all.
Now its like either going round n round...or completely on a different track, which has no relevance to the original characters developed by the makers.
LOL...i really wonder whether the Chaudhry would be able to make it for the anniversary or not. They're busy in killing cockroaches now 😡
Viren...i'll never forgive the CVs for ruining my FAV character. Its sooo disappointing. And as for Virat-Manvi...CVs have taken a complete u-turn in their story today...what's their logic behind it (IF there is any) only they know.
LOL...ur checklist is very apt. The family drama will continue, in one way or the other...with all its draaaging. Let's see what the new bouncer Cvs throw at us in the next week. A lawyer getting an award..the idea already beats me!
Thanks for commenting, buddy. 😊

lmao...didn't think about the manvi's b'day point...but looks like only swamini knew about the anniversary...no body else knew about it...virat's dialogues on the brothers convo made me go 😲...to me it looks like there has been a sudden change of direction of trak for whatever reason and it is just not sinking in for me...this wedding anniversary is very random and obviously a last minute insertion to the track.

That's the thing. Everything is sooo haphazard...no consistency at all. This wedding anniversary has come like a dhamaka...literally out of no where.
You're very right...they're good at creating moments...leaving us aww-ing on them...but there's no flow.

True and valid points Ayesha. I said it in some other posts, CVs and logic don't go hand in hand. Someone just said in the other post that just before their marriage, there was the festival of karvachauth too, what happened to that? It annoys the hell out of me, these inconsistencies. But I gave up on the CVs long ago, I suggest you do to. :p
Do they even watch or follow their own show?! I guess even they have better things to watch. :/

Golmaal hai bhai sab golmaal hai 😆

I do wonder if its a symptom common to many shows - SCVBS - Sudden CVs Brainless Syndrome- that they suffer from at 8-9th month of the show or so.
Every-time a show reaches that mark, the CVs' brains go on a trip around... Punjab... never to be seen or heard from again.

Wonder what it is in Punjab that makes them disappear?

i so totally agree with u except the thing that virika forgot about their own anniversary i could empathies with that as both of them are in some or the other tension.
I am cursing the creatives today, man the episode was going perfectly fine just dont know why why why why!!!! did virat say ''just friends'' stupidity. Ethier the dialogues were supidly written, or th creatives have lost their mind or we were just hoping too much, after all it a daily soap!!
They have
a brilliant plot
great actors
huge fan base
but they have the greed for trp's which is ruining EVERYTHING!! If they seriously think that by doing this their trp is gonna remain the same they are highly mistaken, i swear if i dont get my virmaan love story back i m gonna quit watching until it comes back. Afterall we determine everything!!
Sorry but i am very very angry 😡
