I didn't know what else to have as a title 🤔Not the characters I usually discuss but there is one thing which has been nagging me about all 3 characters for a while and how their characters have done a complete u-turn.

Beeji, Dadaji and Swamini: Today I was more than glad to see Beeji scolding Manvi in her strict manner because that is how she has always been with her. That was her persona! She was intimidating and not at all sappy. We all know that she has always loved her grand-daughters dearly under that stern behaviour but for some reason her character has transformed significantly for no real reason. I still remember how she once told Jeevika that she would break her legs if she did anything to taint the family reputation. Everyone feared Dadaji because he had that overbearing presence. He was someone who barely cracked a smile but now he's just a jolly old Grandfather. Didn't him and Virat have issues? What about that? Finally our Swamini Bua, again she's always smiling now and though I had no problem initially with her and Manvi getting on, it eventually became too unrealistic. All three characters have lost their original characteristics which made them major causes of conflict in the show. I'm all for seeing happy faces but to be honest these three are much more appealing being khadoos especially Dadaji and Swamini. I sincerely hope that when and if Jeevika does decide to go against the conventions, these two characters will go back to their original selves.

Today's episode was good. The focus is getting back on to what really matters, hopefully next week will show even more improvement. JM scene was beautiful, loved how Manvi wasn't letting go of Jeevika, Jeevika asking if she's ok and then how Manu ran back to hug her. Though I still don't approve of the direction especially how everyone was standing in one line while Manvi was bidding goodbye, the scene still touched the right chords because the Behnas have that natural magic (I don't cry but my Dad did get quite emotional LOL). The dream sequence wasn't really able to evoke laughter but it didn't offend either. On one hand, while it boded well with Manvi's randomness, it still felt strange because the illness is a not so funny one. I think the scene met with mixed reactions and I didn't really know how to react myself.

Manvi's re-union with B.Beeji, Chachi and Dabbu was adorable!! There is something extremely special about the whole Hrishikesh ambience which the Chandigarh waale will never be able to imitate. Even when the Wadheras are happy they only really evoke cold emotions while the Chaudhary's are all about the warmth!

How I see the current happenings is that Manvi's has drawn the semi-circle and now Jeevika needs to come in to action to complete the circle. I don't know how much I can take her inactiveness! The show needs the other Behna to wake up and take action SOON!

Witches and wizards! Is that too much Harry Potter or Wicked or The Wizard of Oz lol.

I know as shows progress, writers change their initial ideas about characters and decide to soften or harden them. But it seems that the three strong, stern, intimating characters have become approachable and softer. Recollecting earlier episodes, Beeji had an aura around her. 'The don't mess with me, as it will not be a pleasant experience' one but somewhere down the line that has evaporated. It was nice to see that force and stubbornness back today. Swamini and Dadaji are odd, as they have done a complete 180 turn. I understand that Dadaji that felt guilty about what happened with Maanvi but how can someone change so much overnight? From a man who was set in his ways and commanded respect he has turned into a very different man. Swamini, well she's a difficult one to read. She was using Maanvi the whole time, which is why her initial interaction with her were fine. But now that it's all over, she still very OTT with her, so I'm not sure what the aim is there. Is she still pretending? I do feel we need the devilish characters back to add some spice into the show, otherwise it will become bland and too sweet.

Today's episode was good, but why is it that there is movement from Wednesday to Friday and then the following Monday- Tuesday it slows down to 5mph. Pick up the pace, please!! I enjoyed the departure scene, the only point that annoyed me, was that it was too long and what was up with them all standing there?

Very stagnant. Should have had more movement, walking them to the door, small things, just to add fluidity. Maanvi and Jeevika together is always perfect, I'm sure they cried as much here as they did during the bidaii. They cannot separate happy, well they shouldn't separate. I loved how Maanvi would not let go and Jeevika realised.

They dream sequence was typical Maanvi. Didn't she have one before, with Dadaji as the judge after the whole New year's debacle. I didn't know whether to laugh or just cover my face during that whole scene.

Can they keep the whole show in Rishikesh? It's so much better there. There's warmth and fun yet it can be taken seriously when it needs to be. I love B. Beeji and Dabbu especially with Maanvi.

Its weird that even though the truth is dragging, I don't mind that Jeevika doesn't know about it. It's Maanvi's decision about who knows about her condition. Even though Jeevika will be hurt because she wasn't told and will encourage drama later, and Maanvi has her clear reasons, which is fair to her.

I agree with your post, Reemz and I had posted similar views regarding certain characters being out of sync in context to yesterday's episode and losing their original persona as it was defined in the very beginning- nature of their character as it was set in the beginning. Here is copied comment of mine from yesterday which relates to your post:

) I somehow felt it was very out of character for Dada Ji to easily walk into the party and accept the news of Virat and Maya to the extent that he didn't even object when Swamini made a formal announcement for their marriage. Looking at the past history of Virat and Dada ji, he had always been strict with Virat concerning about his career etc. Since he has not established himself something professionally, it would have been more acceptable if they had shown Dada ji convincing Virat to first take responsibility and then take Maya's responsibility. Perhaps I am wrong, but thats what I felt and thought that how come he easily agreed to all this? You guys can correct me on this one if you have different opinion

2) Jeevika character was also out of sync- with all that dancing and such free dance moves (nothing wrong although) but its not her character to do so and we surely didn't expected such from Jeevika either. I am not saying I didn't like it, I am just saying it was little out of sync with her given character nature. But I have been noticing lately, Jeevika has started to open up a little; like yesterday's epsode she placed her head on Viren's shoulder in the car. The way she converses with others in the household, Viren, etc, that hesitation is now missing which is a good thing. She is slowly adapting to new house and married life. I love the new confident Jeevika, not shying away on small things, and be able to talk freely with Viren and others; but today's dancing was little off the hook (As Krystle, it was def cool, I loved her dance with Viren and the way they were interacting in the song- I felt that I am watching Krystle not Jeevika) and her openness also indicated through small scene where she greeted Inder Chachu by hugging him; usually that's not her and shes always been respectful and shy towards elders including Inder and its usually Manvi that hugs him BUT i felt nice seeing that bonding between Chachu and Jeevika.

Was definitely nice to see a realistic reaction of Beeji. Shedid not just give way to Manvi's childish demands (which cannot be called wrong from Manvis point of view.).

Also appreciated chacha convincing Beeji, stating it would be better to wait till they know all about the treatment, probably they would have some positive news to comfort Jeevika then.
