He's an actor who's engaging with us, in a respectful, friendly way... Bas... Why can we not give him the same back? There has been too much of baiting going on, that led to today's disaster... And I just can't for the life of me see the point of this mayhem...

Many have mentioned the Trump disagreement, well, I disagreed with his "is this a joke" and "it's funny" tweets... I live in the US, and being in the middle of it all, I couldn't shrug it off so easily. For many of us immigrant women here, Trump's victory was a nightmare coming true. Even now, some of my friends' kids here are being bullied in school by older kids because they feel that Trump's win validates the racist, misogynistic beliefs instilled in them. Racism is real, and we see it every day. So, I reacted to that tweet as respectfully as I could, and the whole matter ended there... I believe we can disagree all we want, but keep it civil. Respect people's boundaries.

One of my closest friends on the forum and I disagree vehemently on the Trump issue, but that's ok. Do we have to take those disagreements down a vicious path?

I tweet at Namik often. Does he respond? Has once, but mostly NO. But is that a slight? Hell no! But that's my POV. Someone else might feel upset. Ok, so stop interacting with him. Why create a Twitter war around that?

Can't we just stop policing him and enjoy getting to know him and sharing our views with him respectfully?

Bas! Rant over! Sorry if I hurt feelings... Forum friends know, I don't mean any harm...

Yes most of them jump to his defense and that adds fuel to the fire. But the frightening thing is these girls are not those trolls that you come across the SM, they seem to be well educated and balanced individuals but why they react this way is beyond my understanding. I followed them for their views and thoughts on EDKV never expected this bickering and shading on my TL.

Well we can do nothing about it. My only concern here is this may lead to lesser interactions from Namik's side. But then maybe that's how all celebrities end up being so gaurded. Well it was nice having this conversation. Wish people were this sane on twitter too.

It's shocking to hear that a war is going on twitter over what he said... Can fans not just back off and realize that he has his own brain and his own opinions which of course won't always similar to ours? How immature can one be?

From my observation Namik is someone who is a thinker and someone who would talk about anything, express his opinion but guess it's us fans who are not mature enough to handle his honest reactions. As he too underlined the fact: just because he is an actor, done a show, doesn't mean he is someone who has to have views that are acceptable from us and nothing more, nothing less... That's too much to ask from anyone: to be shaped into a mould we have built and fit into it yarnaa the war is on...

I am truly dissapointed as I really thought that EDKV fandom was mature as there had been no cat/group fights in here during the time when show was running. But alas...

I know in the end, as always, the whole fandom is going to suffer because of some immature groups... Guess any day now he too will become someone with their guards on because the 'fans' are only happy if the star shines on the sky, away and out of reach...

He is so clear about everything. Expressed everything so well, clarified about the Trump tweet, spoke ab out the whole long captions (saying is this why you paid a colossal amount in schools to look semi-literate? Regarding the "give me attitude, and I'all give it right back" quote: isn't that something we all hold true? Bite me, I'll bite you right back. So why should we have different expectations from him just because he is a celeb? That's Self Preservation 101.
