PART 1
"I love you Radhika"
He always thought her eyes are very expressive. Her eyes spoke volumes when she is standing immobile not uttering a word. His confession created myriad of expression in her eyes which he can read clearly. Her eyes shone with happiness followed immediately by confusion, hurt, despair and anger.
Oh! How he loved his angry kitten but right now he is sure that her anger leads to disaster consequences.
"Say something please Radhika...anything...slap me, hurt me but say something" he doesn't care that, he, Arjun Mehra, is begging for the love of a girl who he previously thought obstacle in his path...the irony not lost on him.
"How? When? I don't understand but Sam" she asked softly despite of the anger in her eyes. He can hear her accusation clearly. He knows she wanted him to answer how can you do this to Sam? He sighed not knowing how to answer her without making her hate him.
Today evening is his marriage ceremony with Samaira Khanna and here he is confessing his undying love for her best friend. What a mess he has made? But first he has to tell his story filled with unjustified revenge and irrational plot he has created to trap an innocent woman. So he did...about his life in orphanage, Nandini di, Samrat Khanna and finally his role in capturing Sam's attention and love which led to marriage and his ultimate goal to destroy Khanna family. While recounting the things he did, he is disgusted with himself.
How could he think by marrying Sam he can reduce the pain in his heart and heal his Nandini di's pain he couldn't understand, Sam doesn't even know about his father's cheating ways, and if he goes according to the plan he is no better than Samrat Khanna, the trust bestowed upon him first by Sam later on by Radhika, Neil, Piyali, Manya, Radhika's parents...how many people could he hurt to satisfy his hunger for revenge. And how can he forget a miracle that happened in his self-destruction path...Radhika...she fought with him, changed him and turned his life like he never expected. Then he fallen in love with her...what a bittersweet journey to discover his trueself. He wants to be a betterman for her. He wants to hold her, cherish her and love her always. But first he has to confess his sins and plead for her forgiveness. He knows she will not forgive him easily but if he marry Sam then there is no turning back she will never ever forgive him that thought alone causes a stabbing pain in his heart. He has to do right his wrongs but he needs the strength for that and she alone can give him that. This realization leads to the confession where both of them stood looking for the other to speak.
Once he stopped speaking he felt a sting on his cheek...what a slap it is though well-deserved he stood motionless holding his cheek.
She held his collar tightly tears streaming from her eyes asked "how could you do this to sam? What will happen if she knows this? It will break her. No...no...no... it cant happen".
She is sobbing hysterically. It broke his heart watching her tears and knowing he is the cause of this. He wants to hold her tightly and protect her from all the pain in the world. Suddenly she pushed him and anger burning her in her eyes.
"Fix this" she ordered him.
"I will let Sam know that I cant marry her and I will tell everything to her. Please believe me Radhika... I am sorry. I know you don't want to hear sorry from me but I will do whatever it takes to earn Sam's forgiveness and then only you will hear from me but one thing I wanted you to remember that I love you. there is no pretense, no ulterior motives...nothing... I love you truly... just believe me" Arjun declared looking into her eyes.
Radhika is stunned to his heartfelt confession.
