Hi everyone,
I found a review of the DABH episode of Friday 17 August 2012, so am sharing it here.
I think the author sums up our feelings about Mathie's attitude pretty well in this review.

DIYA AUR BAATI HUM
8/17/12

The episode was a gripping one full of tensed moments for Suraj and his family in the final round of the cooking competition. It seemed as if Lady Luck wasn't on Suraj's side , as he got a bowl of unknown tropical fruit first and then managed to ring the packet of cream instead of the lentils he was aiming for thanks to Mrs. Methi temporarily blinding him . Despite the challenges Suraj managed to keep his wits about him and prepare "Daal Baati" with an attempt at Fusion food . I must say Suraj's presentation of the dish looked really professional and appetizing. I guess Mrs Methi, must've noticed the same, as her insecurities prompted her to use devious methods to defame and get Suraj disqualified. I fail to understand Mrs. Methi's attitude with Suraj, which transcends the healthy sportsmanship and fear of another contender, feels more personal than professional—-it seems that her fear is more akin to hate for Indians, even though she's married to one! As far as I've seen , her hubby seems a good and supportive man —– so why this Kolaveri Methi?? Looking forward to seeing how Suraj will manage to defend himself from accusations of cheating — go on to win the World's Best Cook award , and 40 lakhs to boot!
