for example since alot of us range in the age category obviously something drew us to the show..but what if it was a cooking show, would we all have come? no, not all..but whoever was interested in it would've..point being..anytime one approaches a show they have already made some sort of opinion towards the show and have some values/morals of their own that they could probably relate to in the show
we can all relate to love, hence we like this show.. we were/are all young once and we know what its like
so now when it gets to the point of showing adultry, the people who support it are more in it for their jodi...I am not sure if thats good to show the pagalpan of their support or bad because its not a good cause.
Adultry is a bad thing kids..dont take it witha pinch of salt...I amnot saying to learn all that you see on tv, but when does one draw a line that this is out of what they went in for to see..
It seems to me that fan bases change their opinion depending upon how their favorite is acting/behaving and do everything in their might to make it right...
I am personally totally against adultry, and the only reason why i started watching dmg is because it wasnt like an ekta soap wehre they freely promote adultry et al
I am deeply saddened by the fact with thsi entire issue and how people will support it even if its just a tv show, i dont think it should be supported anywehre!

I also don't like how people say we are not watching the show for " MORAL LESSONS". Countless numbers of researches have been done by world's top psychologist, sociologist and behavior analysts on how tv shows subconsciously affect how we perceive things. It specially affects the youth. I am not saying now all of us will think EMA is okay , it just sucks because slowly it starts making it more acceptable. Adultery should never be acceptable. By religion and law divorce is permissible. But adultery has been deemed dirty at level. It should never be seen as a thing " THAT HAPPENS". It doesn't need to happen, and it shouldn't happen. Even some people in the forum has said if it can happen in real life then why not dmg. Sure it can happen but it should be painted as disgusting dirty thing. No one should justify it.

I understand we don't have a very mature audience so maybe people don't fully understand the true consequences of adultery.

Ohh yes I seen such topics floating around and really they do make me wonder - dude you are SERIOUSLY asking this question?🤔🤔🤔 Don't we have countless studies done on whether or not the TV affect the way we behave and they HAVE almost always affirmed that YES the TV does change the perception of a viewer specially in regards to the youth and young children. TV plays a critical role in altering and shaping our behaviour. Kids who watch a lot of violence on TV are more prone to accept violence as an everyday occurance compared to kids who don't watch it.
Also, forget all the studies - did we NOT have a few encounters in the forum itself to show that there ARE youth here who live and breathe DMG as if it were real? Wasn't there a member who posted about herself that when she was bleeding, all she could think about was Armaan and his pain? Wasn't there another post [well dozens of them actually] by a member that condoned Armaan writing Riddhima's name in his blood and clapping him on for showing his true love through such a heinous act?🤢
And yet those supposedly "mature" members still claim youth does not watch this show for morals😆😆 But you know the morals of these members shine through some of their posts. People who cannot "wait" for a couple to indulge in EMA clearly speaks for the morals they have👍🏼
That's all I have to say really and at the end of the day I am not their mother and they are not my children so I am not really tempted to teach them about morals and values [albeit over a fictional couple]😆 They can continue on with their life as they wish and I really do hope they meet up with people [people as in their future partners/spouses] who have these same morals. Then they might understand the real value of them😊
And to those who take DMG as if it was a living organism - please learn to look BEYOND it. This is a fictional show that is meant to entertain people NOT mess with their heads.
Peace out <3

Alot of SR fans are calling this disgusting and that they would NEVER go for it, but what if it was the other way around? What if AR were married and Sid was in Armaan's place? I'm pretty sure you guys would be completely okay with that. Now, dont tell me that you wouldnt because it is extremellyyy disgusting. Because remember, this is a freakin TV show! Not reality!

You are wrong there, would have never supported if Sid was in Armaans place. I agree its just a TV show but anywhere, anytime..my own morals and principles are important for me be it for reel or real. I may be fan of a certain character/jodi but it can never get priority over my morals and values i have in my life😛

Its not reality but cant deny the fact, tv and media do have a huge influence on its viewers so they do have a some kind of social responsibility toward its audience 😊

@ DMGFan-2b-not2b - nice topic👍🏼..agreed with you about the hypocrisy part. Just remind of this quote "We have two kinds of morality side by side: one which we preach but do not practice and another which we practice but seldom preach"😛

We just change over to what suits us according to the specific situation/time👎🏼 Adultery is not acceptable be it drama or not and can not be defended either🤢 Unfortunately life is not so black and white as humans become weak at one point=(

lots if viewpoints and nice to see the topic has not been shut down as yet...

Honestly, the point of the post was not adultery. I would never condone commiting adultery cos other than the moral part, in the end it destroys lives not only of the people who are being cheated on but takes away from the person who is commiting it as well. But I have seen a bit of life and I also appreciate that its pointless to be in a marriage if your heart is somewhere else, it makes life miserable for everyone involved and it shows up in your existing relationship. But then you need to come clean and not go behind someone's back. No quarrels on that.

But I'm digressing ;-), the point of the post was not to discuss the ethics of adultery but the our hypocrisy in dealing with / talking about it. If it is terrible, then you should condemn it no matter what! Just dont change the stance to suit your convinience which we tend to do.

And yes, we're not the only ones who are hypocrites, but I am talking about us as a people. But pt taken, the show is watched in many countries, albiet by Indians manly so best to stay off the "Indian" bit ;-)

Yes, it probably does but the West is probably less holier-than-thou about it than we are :-) cos they're sexually a more permissive society ... But yes, its not just us.... :-)

AS far as I can see, "the fans" who supported "the actor" are the one who are in favour of the current track as well... So dont understand the hypocrisy!!

Thats not true... I've seen enough names who were vociferous in someone's defense but hey the person or his acts weren't the point of the post, hypocrisy in dealing with certain issues was ;-)

BTW love yr avataar!

What you said is true....we are hypocritical...and its just not indians but others too and that is why we are humans......I think at one point in life, everyone becomes hypocritical whether they like to admit it or not but that is wht we are no matter if we avoid it or not...btw AR hopefully wont go tht way because their chemistry was flawless and now by doing somehting stupid as this CVs are killing it...I am not against their reunion but they could show it in a better way no matter what other people say...this is wht I believe!...you can call be hypocritical, biased or just more sensible than DMG CVs.
