I'm liking this idea of a lavish spread... bring it on Di... I'll try to abide by the table manners 😆
The melancholic tune of prelude music somehow sets the mood of this song... and what better way to fathom the emptiness this songs tries to describe than to pick that very shot where u have Sia's welled up eyes and Raghav retracting his steps with a half smile that tries in vain to camouflage the pain in the eyes...and then walking away from his love.
Raghav's intense unwavering gaze at Siya when the track plays "ishq bhi kiya re maula" made me go
"Dar bhi diya re maula"..went so well with the Raghav venting his frustration on the punch bag... loved that last punch with the closeup shot of the hand going bang on with that small change in the beat...Timing I say. 👏
Then we had the singer crooning "Hooo ooo" and all the Raghavians drooling when Raghav went on shaking that wet zulfein of his... especially loved that u kept the shot where we see Raghav through the rippled water coz if one listens carefully the music there has a ripple effect too..even if just for a moment!!! 👍🏼
The same hands which held on to his love when the second time it played "Ishq bhi kiya re maula"...were seeing fighting it out at the onset of "dard..." again.
"Yun to khush raha magar" somehow brought about the helplessness Raghav went through when he was trying to be happy outside while boiling like a hot cauldron inside!!!
Di loved that u emphasized on showing his wounded hand when the track played the rest of the lyrics "kuch reh gaya baaki"... So true... What remains in the end are wounds of emptiness... symbolic I say!!! 👏
"Fakr bhi kiya re maula
Ilm bhi liya re maula
Zindagi jiya magar kuch reh gaya baaki".. Now these lines backed up with the punching bag shots had me visualising Raghav contemplating on his achievements, his knowledge(ilm), his life and yet feeling something amiss!!!.. loved the way at "baki" we had Raghav hitting quite hard... so much so that we had him hold the bag in frustration!!!
Then we had him brace himself against the wall and wash away his turmoil when the track played "Tu nahi dikha re maula...Sab nahin bika re maula"... Pata hai u added that shot for our sweetheart Sun 😆...but then it went so well with the lyrics there. 👍🏼
"Aur jahan ruka wahan pe"...had the awesome shot of faltering Raghav only to be held by Siya...
What made me go is that as"Jaam hai khaali" played the word jaam had Siya emphasized while at khali we had Raghav. 👏
The ending chorus "dam daram daram" was so beautifully portryed by the hospital scene... but what made it pull at the strings of my heart were the Raghavi scene "Aap apni zindagi ki parwah..." and i kept hitting the replay button several times... n i've lost the count 😆... just to hear Raghav say "wahi to kar rah hoon"...
Di as you stated earlier that u are not a big fan of this song ... I would say the same ...but then I happened to see this VM n I must say loved it to the core...
The way I have devoured ur vm bit by bit must have made it quite clear as to how much I enjoyed it!!!... Now that was an appetizer right?... n u know what they do... badhaofy the bhook... 😆
Thank for the wonderful VM Di 🤗
Aur yeh aapke liye :
Jo har man bhaye re maula;
Fir bhi dil gaye re maula...
Ke kuch reh gaya baaki...
***
Neend bhi na aaye re maula...
Justaju sataye re maula;
Raghavi jab chaye re maula...
Kaun bane saaki??
