I am tamil and I grew up in Madras near the famous Kapaleeshwar temple in Mylapore.

My family would go often and we often performed various ceremonies and rituals there. As a child I used to think it was a chore to have to go, but over the years I have come to love the temple and it's surroundings. I can't even really explain why (maybe it has something to so with childhood memories), but this is my favorite temple.

Although I don't live in Madras anymore, every time I visit, I make it a point to go to this wonderful temple and spend some time there.
