I mean we even had Pappu Gandhi as someone striking against the laws. That must have made him a protester in your eyes, no?😆

second, cnn has been trying lately to come across as more moderate in its positions... but only after it got it's ass kicked for being too liberal by the trump republicans. In international arena however, it has still some ways to mend its left wing ways.

Lmao find me a source that verifies that bull!

literally every newspaper verified that worldwide that the protesters against the Bills were 250 million.

CNN has been centrist since the 90s those are just facts everyone living abroad knows.

lol when you are going to put fastest growing economy in the search engine you are going to find such results.

FYI this is just a FORECAST. These results have not been achieved yet. 😆

I provided you plenty of valid articles on how the Indian economy is doing now. And no they weren’t just from left wing outlets because you say so. Those who follow the news know that many are centrist and even right leaning.

yes that's a forecast. It's from IMF. I'd take that over the garbage you put out. Any day. Even Nomura's analysts who try to be negative on India project India as being the fastest growing major economy.

as for what's been achieved, one's got to be hiding under a rock to not see that India has puled ahead of the UK in gdp terms.😉And there's more where that came from, except I don't think the facts will come in the way of your putting out random interpretations from random sources😆

MSNBC is the most left leaning channel on American tv! Even they aren’t very liberal in terms of fiscal policy. Everyone here always has viewed CNN as centrist .

Once again various articles I posed showed that Indian economy growth rate has been shabby under modi. It is having issues with jobs. Demonetization was a disaster. Garbage various people called out Modi for it, including those in his own party.

There's domestic politics and then there's international. There's a media bias against India when it comes to international newspapers. Like you, i could dump articles illustrating that but i couldn't be bothered.

now getting back to the issue, first, the farm laws should not have been repealed. The fat cat farmers in Punjab need to reform their ways. Second, no one (least of all me) ever attacked Sikhs. Third, the khalistanis sure supported the repeal of the laws and funded the goons blocking roads in ncr.

This attack was never about flushing out terrorists. In the words of anthropologist Joyce Pettigrew, “The army went into Darbar Sahib not to elominate a political figure...but to suppress the culture of a people, to attack their heart, to strike a blow @ their spirit..

And what's your point? Have you ever seen anyone condone the Golden Temple attack? I've already said that & the aftermath was tragic & a political genocide.

What I want to know is how exactly has the Sikh community been oppressed by the Indian Government since then? It's been almost 40 years since 1984. The Sikhs who comprise less than 2% of the population have since held every top position in the country from Army/Navy Chiefs to PM/President. From the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to Popular Celebrities/Cricketers. You could argue just based on sheer numbers nobody has thrived more.

And why did this movement which was all but dead revive itself during the "Farmer" protests?

I know you wont be able to come up with one instance in the last 40 years because there is none. The truth is, the Sikhs are not oppressed in India in any way, shape or form. It's just a narrative propagated by some malcontents with vested interests who don't even live in the country.

No when it comes to foreign policy CNN is very pro-war. It supports right wing like Modi for example Israel. You can say that is our alley. But there are plenty of others who are not. First of all these were articles by left-wing nut jobs. Now they just have an anti-india bias.

farm laws should have been repealed. Several farmer unions from the USA and the world agreed. They said it was the exact thing that happened to them. Bill Gates became the greatest farmer in the USA.

Secondly it wasn’t just Punjab. Like I said less then 30 million people are in Punjab . You honestly think it would called the great protest in world history if it was just Punjab,

It included Kerala, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi and West Bengal among others. The protest at its peak included more than 250 million people. That has been proven whether you like it or not. Indian news in the least credible.

secondly all sorts of people gave money to the protest. If Punjab made up less than a fraction of the protesters. How would they be funding it to a large extent ? They are fraction of Punjabis also a fact.

Did we ever get justice since then? Ever wonder how Punjab went from the richest state in the country to having its water polluted and looted? To having its youth on drug. How it’s Universities went from some the best to the worst in the country. Entirely different argument for a different day.
