I never said both religions are equal. I said violence and vigilantism by fanatics of any community is called out openly.

Remember how everyone had condemned attack on a cop in Punjab and chopping off his wrist by a religious fanatic in 2020? Bollywood stars had also condemned it.

Right now all are condemning threats to JK Rowling for supporting Salman Rushdie.

Attacks like Pulwama, France attack etc were also condemned by all. So were lynchings in name of blasphemy in Pak.

France attack was condemned. Recent beheadings have not been condemned by 0.5% of Bw.

LeLi is standing with Zubair who ran an edited video (Apparently a fact checker) of Nupur and threw her to wolf. He is smiling and posing in photos and Nupur is in hiding. So far 5 people have been killed for posting a Nupur supporting post on social media. Tell me which BW wala has the guts to speak on it?

Zubair an online fact checker (irony), ran an edited video of only Nupur’s debate portion. He tagged Middle East countries and dog whistled that Nupur insulted. After that started riots and bounties on NS head.

IDK why you always see hypocrisy? I remember BW actors bashing a Nihang for chopping hands of a cop during lockdown and violating lockdown in Punjab. Sunil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt etc all tweeted against it.

Entire Bolly brigade spoke against celebs who supported farmer protests from abroad and trended #IndiaTogether.

Stars like Shabana, Jaaved Jafri and Javed Akhtar condemned attack on Nankana Sahib 2 years ago and attack on gurdwara in Afghanistan.

Who did not condemn fanatics of other communties? I remember filmmakers like Kashyap and actors like Arjun Kapoor, Taapsee, Abhishek, bashing Sikh groups that protested against Manmarziyan. And Saif criticising SGPC after protests against LAK.

Rather it looks selective when you notice criticism of only one community's extreme elements but not of others.

Remember global criticism after France attack? Or condemnation of attack on Rushdie?

Can you forget how Rajinikanth bashed a community's fanatics for attacking Mani Ratnam for showing Muslim girl married to Hindu guy in Bombay?

There were columns against a community's fanatics on Rediff also after they attacked theatres for showing Sikh man marrying Muslim woman in Gadar and saying dialogues like 'lo ab yeh ho gayi Sikhni'.

I said police SHOULD crush such elements but currently they do not take action as govt seems to lack will to act against elements due to fear of votebank.

Toilet ek Prem Katha is a pro govt film whereas we were discussing topic of films that criticise or question ruling govt which is why I mentioned films that bashed Emergency and Indira govt in past.

I did not know it. But T.V. channels should not have allowed such statements from anyone on air and stopped broadcast at once.

I think no one should speak against gods, deities, saints of any religion. Deffo not in public.

Bollywood celebs should have condemned threats and violence in name of ANY religion.

People bashing religions on social media has started riots in many countries and it should stop. Collectively no one should bash any faith or community. Misuse of SM must stop.

That is why I said celebs should not be speaking on issues at all as they speak as they want and are seen as selective or hypocrites if they do not speak. Or if they support controversial politicians of other parties.

Nupur is a politician and others are not. As a politician she has more security than other ordinary civilians.

This is why I said she need not fear being politician from ruling govt party. She is safe as of now. Govt ensured her security.

Shah or others are not obligated to comment on happenings in Pakistan. It is a shame that we need Indian celebs to speak on minorities in Pakistan and their own celebs and liberals are silent or speak on India.

Violence in WB and Kerala is political rivalry. Not communal because TMC and CPM have Hindu workers and members too. It is not Hindu vs others. It is condemnable too but people mostly bash communal or ethnic or caste crimes. Political violence is seen as routine rivalry of Indian politics.
