i a, talking of television stereotyping.......in many ( read most) television serials we tend to see guys who are "cool dudes"- who for the most of their time run after or are surrounded by a bevy of beautiful girls...................nearly all the time we get to see the girls fainting blushing or hyperventilating aboput how "hot" the guy is..........how he is the God's gift to women!!!!!

my question is -WHY ARE GUYS WITH A PROMISCUOUS BENT OF MIND PORTRAYED AS "COOL" IN TV SERIALS? BUT A GIRL WHO IS "POPULAR" IS THE VAMP. WHY????????????

Is it to prove that it is right for a guy to be a womaniser but a girl if she is a flirt is viewed as a "slut" and a "available".........why?

This could be because of slightly male dominated society. That is unfortunate of course.

After gender equalization, possibly in future, all flirts (guys or gals) might be considered same.

Guys (or girls for that matter) that flirt get on my last nerve. Charm is one thing, but excessive flirting equates to desperation and the I'm-not-interested-so-get-out-of-my-face expression on my face. Having said that, I think there is a very wrong misconception out there that girls like 'bad' boys. So I think that's the reason for the whole 'cool' guy falls for simple girl who transforms his life and makes him into a better person. Blah, blah, blah.
