Judiciary has always been uneffiencient, and just don't come under radar, even after doing shit.

If u don't like a government official, u can complain against him and actuomay be taken against them.

If u don't like a politician or he does something, u can file a case or vote him/her out.

But the judiciary can do any shit and no one can do anything about it.

Judiciary is bad for a person irrespective of the gender.

Also Indians tend to abuse the power and rights they get.

Bcoz of women like these, all the women and other women who actually need laws to support them, they can't get help.

His wife and that judge were laughing and saying ki abhi tak Suicide kyun nahi kiya. It was sick.

The J was asking Bribery.

Women who are educated, earn, and know laws should stop exploiting it, as women who actually need those laws, they don't get help from them.

The man was earning 85k something, and J asked him to give 40k to his small kid, which makes no sense.

How will he survive in 40k woh bhi kam hoga after taxes and everything that too in Bengaluru.

In Alimony cases Judges has to be more sensible yeh nahi ki kuch bhi de rahe hain, in cases like these J don't follow word to word written in law rather it is given according to situation and at that it is necessary for J to not act as someone who is exploiting either of the parties.

They are not good to women, too. I have seen cases were poor people go to Court and women has a proof that her husband was abusing her but J was like maine daat diya hain ab nahi karega, so live together bcoz baccha bhi hain, shaadi aise nahi todni chahiye.

& then they boast about how they believe in preserving marriages rather than breaking it and how people now want to divorce in small inconvenience (may be true but not in cases like these).

So judges and Judiciary are not helpful for common people but rather for those with power and connections. & no one can raise questions or say anything against them with fear of Contempt to Court.

Once an actor jokingly told in an interview that he can't afford to have more divorces and pay alimony.

He told in a light hearted way.

Just simply saying.

Court should fix some ratio based on inflation, earnings and a person's fixed assets.

It is a very sensitive topic.

If she really harassed him, then he has multiple choices except this suicide, isn't it?

Is it really because of his wife's harassment, or is there any other reason??

Yes Story is believable, men at times get harrassed in Alimony cases.

Dude was given 40+ notices over a year. Was asked to be present in UP Court when he lives in Bengaluru.

Its ridiculous, Delhi mein rehne wala banda bhi Delhi Court mein har hearing mein nahi hota hain.

Wife harassment and Court harassment both but there can be other reason too.

It is fixed, but it is upto discretion of the Court and Judge.

At times Husband hide their salaries to act as if they have nothing to give.

Also women leave their job to get Alimony.

Problem hain koyi bhi side doodh ki dhuli nahi hain.

Everyone is here to exploit the other side.

But Court's in case of working, educated women needs to do better.

In my opinion, no one will take their life for fun or to prove a point or to teach someone a lesson. They will resort to taking their life only when they think they are alone in the world and there is no other alternative.

We may think there are other choices, but will we think the same if we are in their shoes? We will never know.

The other thing I want to say is no system can be made foolproof. People can always find loopholes and exploit them. If corruption is involved, forget about fair judgement.

We don't know what really happened, but, a young man lost his life, which is very sad. My sympathy to his family.

Yes Rosy, very sensitive topic, taking sides may not be correct. There exist numerous angles in this case. The court determined the amount of alimony three years prior to the consent of the divorce. Why he has taken such a drastic step now?

Red: The Supreme Court has laid down eight key criteria for determining the amount of permanent alimony in divorce cases.

This directive comes amid ongoing discussions sparked by the death of a Bengaluru-based software engineer, who had accused his wife and in-laws of harassment and extortion before taking his life.

While hearing the divorce case of Praveen Kumar Jain and Anju Jain, an SC bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and Prasanna B Varale ordered Praveen Kumar Jain to pay Rs 5 crore in alimony to his wife. The court outlined an eight-point guideline for assessing alimony in its Tuesday ruling.

The eight factors identified by the Supreme Court:

1. The social and financial status of the parties

2. The reasonable needs of the wife and dependent children

3. The qualifications and employment status of both parties

4. The applicant’s independent income or assets

5. The standard of living enjoyed by the wife in the matrimonial home

6. Career sacrifices made by either spouse for family responsibilities

7. Litigation expenses for a non-working wife

8. The husband’s financial capacity, income, and existing liabilities

The top court clarified that these factors are not rigid rules but serve as guidelines for determining alimony.

A working woman requesting maintenance, however, is, in my opinion, an insult to her dignity. It is my personal opinion. Separation is unavoidable if you don't like that guy and can't live with him. But when you have your own employment and finances, is it right to ask for money from anyone, including your parents or your ex?

Alimony is only acceptable if the estranged wife is unable to support herself financially or finds work and must care for the child; this rule is necessary for such women. However, using it as a weapon to extort money from the man as a form of punishment, it is a bit confusing.

I feel, in this case, there are many aspects which must push that man to take that drastic step.

I feel ladies should get a greater portion of alimony if they have a child. Assuming 10 yrs of school plus college.

After divorce if the lady doesn't have parents support to take care of kids then she has to quit her job.

Or if she or the child gets some health issues, he would have been with another lady enjoying his income. He also has some responsibility towards the child. After divorce they r not going to get any money esp if he has moved on.

Even Karishma kapoor was at home taking care of her kids and so she took alimony for kids education. Of course they r rich ppl.

But even middle class ppl should give a share of their income or a total amount esp if they have kids based on their 10+2 education. They can pay later also based on agreements. Atleast half of the fees they should pay.

Take the eg of Leander Paes. He was separated from his wife (who was Sanjay Dutts 2nd wife i guess, not sure) and later his daughter got some brain disease. His wife could not pay for the treatment.

He also initially refused to give anything to them for the treatment. I believe Gauri Khan was her friend and she helped with finance.

Now after the girl is cured and grown up, he is claiming to be her daughter, sending her for tennis classes etc as he could not have any other child. She s his only child and now he is so happy to spend time with her. He has sent her to Rafael Nadal coaching in France and wants her to follow his dream.

Note: this information is from Google only. I am quoting what I read.
