09:00 Local Time, 03:30 GMT, 09:00 IST: We got a good old classical 50-over game in the first match of this tri series. India A won a game they were set to lose as yet another Sri Lankan side triggered a random collapse after a great start. A pattern that's been annoying the host nation for a while now in white ball cricket.

AFG A chose to field
One thing is for sure. Both Prabhsimran and Vaibhav won't have it easy. Pitches here aren't as batter-friendly as the IPL and Afghanistan's talent pool is quite impressive with both pace and spin department. Seven of the 15 Afghan players have played at least one international game but they are largely inexperienced. With Afghanistan set to play a 5-match ODI series in Ireland in August, an impressive performance here could earn them a call-up for the national team. India will hope to have a better show with the ball with their frontliners getting early breakthrough. Win the toss, bat first was the talk in the last game. We don't expect that to change for this game as well. Pitch report and more coming up shortly...
Ruturaj Gaikwad was the star with the bat for India. Remember, he was originally not in the squad and came in as replacement for injured Riyan Parag. Rutu made great use of the opportunity by holding an end tight and shared a 150-run stand with his captain Tilak Varma on his way to a well constructed hundred. Tilak's fifty, Suryansh's power-hitting and impressive right arm pace bowling, Badoni's all-round show were the takeaways in the previous game. Priyansh had a good base that he threw himself away through a needless runout. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will be itching to kick on and do better this time.
Good decision for us!!
Tilak Varma: Today, we were looking to bowl first. Unfortunately, we have lost the toss. There's moisture on the wicket and hence we wanted to bowl. 290-300 will be a good score. First 6-7 overs, there'll be movement, Same team.
Imran Mir: Bowl first. First 15 overs will support the bowlers. The preparation has been good for this series.
Pitch Report: There was a bit of rain earlier but the sun is out now. There'll be some moisture and movement on this surface in the early hour. It's still good for batting. 270-280 will be a good par score.
Afghanistan A have won the toss and have opted to field

Good decision for us!!
Cheers..
Mohammad Ibrahim to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, FOUR, back-to-back fours for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi! Another one with ample width on offer. The opener doesn't miss out. Vaibhav stands tall in his crease and lets his hands do all the work. Quick hands to scythe it through the covers
Slip and gully in place

Mohammad Ibrahim to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, FOUR, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gets off the mark with a boundary off his first ball just like the last game. Harmless shortish ball wide of off, the left-hander stands tall to slap the cut through extra cover
The sun is out now,
Afghanistan A opt to bowl
