Well that was quick lol. Personally, I thought if they were replacing ACP with a younger guy it is to attract newer generation to the show. I mentioned IF because I never really thought this was happening lol.
I always had a hunch its for hype especially when they realised parth scene with duo ka bts
Thank god the channel's PR stunt went haywire and we are getting our ACP sir sooner than expected

@ Bold: The SM explosion. That's what. They weren't going to reveal it so soon, but they probably didn't see the TRP increase they wanted and the hate they got on SM made them quickly reel back their debacle.
Their biggest blunder was casting Parth Samthaan as the new ACP. It didn’t just upset the loyal CID fans but also the ones who watch the show on and off. If they had brought in someone more mature or a veteran actor, maybe the reaction wouldn’t have been this bad.

True. People would still have been angry at the callous treatment with ACP Pradyuman's supposed death, but that would have boiled over. Parth as the ACP really blew sh*t into the ceiling!

You are expecting bit of realism from cid? Firstly the makers still think that they are making the show for kids who can't handle dark stuff related to their so called heroes dying! And secondly, even if makers try a bit, the audience pounces on them to bring back the stupidity!
Yes the cid officers are immortal! They can survive anything from point blank bullet shot to a nuclear bomb. No one can kill them!

Haha yeah, it really does feel like the CID officers are invincible at this point! But honestly, that’s where the problem is. These fake deaths are getting super annoying now. Like, what’s the point of building up all that drama if we already know they’re gonna come back in a few episodes? There’s no thrill or emotional connect left. It’s just become a joke at this point, and it’s actually making people lose interest.
True. It doesn't have that effect now. Like it used to, in 2009 to 2011 era.

I know right!!! Unfortunately neither the makers nor the audience is open to change! I am really so disappointed by this whole fiasco now. Why don't people understand that a tragic end to a legendary character takes the story to another level. Yes its difficult to get over it but then you really develop respect and attachment to the character as well as the story (if handled properly). Neither the makers nor viewers have matured a bit.
And then this whole thing about abhijeet not becoming acp and a younger guy taking over! I mean even acp Pradyuman has been the acp since decades. I feel the makers just don't know the concept of character arc. They were simply focussed on making good cases but not the central characters otherwise they would have developed a personal side of their lives as well. Honestly I was so excited that we would get team conflicts, ego issues and power tussle in the show now.... things that are extremely common at any workplace rather than everyone playing a happy family! I was expecting a practical and realistic storyline this time but I guess it's too much to expect from makers. Well they aren't entirely at fault because the viewers themselves are not mature enough to handle this stuff!!

Yeah exactly! And honestly, it's high time the makers take a risk and show something a bit more real. I mean, the TRP is already below 0.5, so clearly the "safe zone" approach isn't working anymore. I know there are always a bunch of super emotional online fans (no offense to anyone) who just want CID to stay exactly how it’s been forever – same style, same characters, same happy ending. And the makers keep listening to them. But if they actually want to pull in a wider audience – people who aren't die-hard fans but just tune in for entertainment then they really need to bring in some realism. All these fake deaths, zero character growth, everyone being bulletproof – it’s just not hitting anymore. Imagine how much more powerful and memorable the show could be if they actually handled a character's tragic end well or showed real workplace drama like power struggles, ego clashes, or actual consequences. That’s the kind of stuff that keeps people hooked. The show has so much potential, but they need to stop playing it safe.

Bang on!! Cid could really have been a great show from India to the world only if they didn't end up creating a "la-la land" And mocking the characters like this. It really had all the potential with brilliant actors, amazing sets, amazing ideas for case! Look at other crime thriller shows like breaking Bad, narcos, brooklyn nine nine (even though it's more on comic side)... They all take time to develop the character arcs of even supporting characters through sub plots
Chalo atleast Ayushman ki spelling toh confirm ho gayi ✌️
