Part 2

Suddenly something struck her mind "haan main amnesia di acting kardi yah is naal mainu aapne bare dasna nai pauga" she said in her mind.(yes, ill act like I have amnesia by which I don't need to tell them about myself)

"Kya hai tumhara naam?"(What's your name?)

"Jee..mera naam'mera naam'mujhe yaad nahi aa rha"she said in a broken words and then she start crying, trying her best to act natural.(I don't remember my name)

"Kya?, tumhe tumahara naam nahi yaad?"Daima said shockingly. Birju just watched them stunned by what he has heard'(what? You don't remember your name?)

"Daima, mujhe kuch yaad nahi aa rha, mujhe nahi pata ki main yaha kaise pahunchi'" she said in devastated tone(Daima, I don't remember anything. I don't know how I came here)

"Chinta mat karo beta, sab kuch theek ho jayega, kanha sab theek kar denge.."(don't worry everything will be alright, kanha will do everything right)

Daima caressed her hair giving her more comfort. She hugged Daima tight for more comfort and cried to loosen up her inner turmoil which has been suppressed for months. Daima consoles her, give her comfort, also Birju came to her and consoles her.

Daima released her arms and looked at her and found something amusing. At first she frowned but then she smiled which made the girl confused.

"Main jaanti hu, tum Punjab se aayie ho, haina Radhika"Daima said with a smile (I know you came from Punjab, right radhika?)

The girl got shocked then scared "how does she know where I came from and also my name?does she know me?"she thought in her mind. she felt her heartbeat fast leaving her confused for she had heard.

"aap'aapko'kaise pata?"she said in shocked yet frightened voice.(How did you know?)

"arre, tumhare gale mein jo locket haina, isme ek taraf tumhara naam likha hai aur ek taraf guru nanak ji ki tasveer hai..isliye maine pata laga liya.."daima said sweetly(The locket you're wearing has your name on one side and Guru Nanak ji's Picture on one side, so I've guessed it)

She looked at her locket and gave a relief sigh. She thought that she would get caught for telling untruth and it would hurt their feelings. She looked at Daima and Birju with their happy face and she smiled at them.

"aab toh tumhe pata chal gya haina ki tumhara naam kya hai'bahut hi pyara naam hai tumhara, radhika"Birju said with cheerful voice(Now you already know your name. u've got a lovely name)

"hanji, birju bhaiya aap dono ka bhut bhut dhanayawad ki aapne mere liye kitna kuch kiya, aur main aapke liye kuch nahi kar skti,main aapse waada karti hu ki aapko jab bhi meri zarurat padegi main zarur aaungi" Radhika said (Yes, Birju bhaiya, thanks to both of you because u've done so much for me but I've done nothing for you. I promise that I'll help you whenever u'll need me)

"arre tum kha jaungi hume chod kar?tum hamare saath hi rahogi jab tak tumhari yaadasht wapas nahi aa jati"Daima said with a stick smile(where will go?you have to stay with us until you gain your memory back)

"Haan, Daima yeh sahi kaha aapne radhika hamare saath hi rahegi. Rahogi nah radhika?" Birju said with a pleading face.(yes, Daima you've said right radhika shuld stay with us right radhika?)

"par Daima, main kaise reh skti hu, aapke pehle hi mere upar kitne ehsaan hai, main ab aur aapko takleef nahi dena chahti.."(But daima how would I stay with you, you've done a lot for me I don't want to trouble you more.)

"Radhika, yeh kya keh rahi ho tum, kya tum hume aapna nahi samajhti jo tum hamare saath nahi reh skti, abhi tumne wada kiya tha aur abhi hi bhul gyi, aur tumhare paas rehne ki bhi jagah nahi hai.."Daima with a sad face(Radhika wat are you saying, you don't consider us you own?youve promised me now uve forgot ur promise and where will u stay, tel me?)

"yeh aap kya keh rahe Daima..aap samajhne ki koshish kijiye nah main aapke saath nahi reh sakti" Radhika said helplessly(watr are you saying daima'pls do understand, I wont stay with you)

"theek hai mat raho aur mujhse baat bhi maat krna" Daima said firmly and was about to go until radhika held her hand but Daima didn't look at her. Radhika held Daima's chin and made her look at her.(Fine then don't talk to me)

"Okay daima main reh lungi aapke saath,"Radhika said with a smile(Okay daima ill stay)

"Yehey"

"waise aapka emotional Blackmail bahut kaam aaya" Radhika said(By the way, ur emotional blackmail helped a lot)

Daima and Birju laughed.

"Lekin Daima aapko bhi meri ek baat manani hogi"Radhika said(But you have to agree with me for something)

"Konsi Baat?tum kuch bhi bolo main manungi"(wat?watever you say ill agree)

"agar main ghar mein rahungi toh main ghar ke kaam krungi, manzur hai?"(if ill stay at home then ill do households, do you agree?)

"oho radhika yeh kya maang liya, theek hai lekin zyada kaam nahi warna naukar kaam chor ho jayenge..hehe"Daima said (oho, radhika wat have you asked'okey ill agree but don't overdo coz the servants may get lazy..hehe)

Suddenly Doctor entered the room and approached the girl

"Oh, kaisi hai aap?"(how's u?)

"jee, main theek hu balki mein ab kuch zyada theek ho gyi hu kyunki bhagwan ne mujhe naya aur bahut pyara parivaar diya hai" she said and looked at daima and birju. (im alright now..actually im feeling more well because God gave me a great loving family)

"Acha, agar koi takleef nahi hai toh main tumhe aaj raat ko hi discharge kar deta hu"Doctor said (Okay, if there's no problem them ill discharge you tonight)

"haan, aab hum radhika ko jald se jald le jaa skte hai ghar, haina Daima?"Birju said jovially(yes, we can bring radhika home.right daima?)

"sab bahut khush honge'jab tum milogi nah humare pariwaar se Radhika tum bahut khush hogi..woh bhi tumhe bahut pasand karenge" Daima said(everyone will be happy..wen ull meet our family then ull be happy. They will also like you)

"mujhe pata hai Daima, sab aap jaise hi honge kyunki aap ghar ke baden haina toh aapke gunn aapke pariwaar mein honge.."(I know daima, everyone will be like you coz ure eldest and their values can be passed on to their family)

"Acha Radhika main tumhare aane ka intezaar krungi, mujhe jalad ghar jaana hai kuch kaam hai, Birju tumhe lene aa jayega, theek hai, apna khayal rakhna"Daima said and hugged her then she went home.(radhika I have to go coz I have a work to do at home, birju will pick you up, take care)

"Radhika, main bhi hospital ke kuch nipta kar aata hu, okay, apna khayal rakhna.." Birju said and left the room.(Radhika, ill also finish the hospital work, take care)

Radhika was all alone now. She felt peace in mind but also guilt in her heart. She shouldn't have lied to them but she didn't know that they would make her stay at their house. What will she do now? Should she tell them the truth? But she doesn't want to break their heart after all they have done to her. Maybe I would tell them some other time maybe soon. In spite of everything she doesn't want to lose them and go back to her old life which had become hell for her.

Part 3

After some time nurse and doctor came to Radhika's room. It was almost night and time for Birju to come back.

"Radhika, ab tum ghar mein apna khayal rakhna aur bandage badalti rehna, thoda sa dard hoga abhi lekin baad mein theek ho jayega. Okey. Tumhara bhai aata hi hoga tumhe lejane"Doctor said.(Radhika, now you have to take care of yourself at home and do change the bandage. It will hurt at first but then it will be gone. Your brother will be here soon to take you home.)

"aree doctor main aapko toh thank u kehna bhul hi gyi. Aap nahi hote toh shayad main duniya chod chuki hoti"Radhika said with the folded hands(Doctor I forgot to thank you. Without you I wouldn't be alive today.)

"Radhika yeh toh mera kaam hai aur tumhara bachna toh takdeer mein likha tha. Tum bas apna khayal rakho..okey aab main chalta hu bye" Doctor said and went away.(Radhika, it's my work and survival was written in your destiny. You take care of yourself. Okey I've to go. bye)

At the same time Birju entered the room with two big plastic bags in hands.

"Radhika yeh maine kuch kapre kharide the tumhare liye kyunki tumhare paas koi kapre nahi hai toh maine socha lelu" Birju said while giving the plastic bag to Radhika.(Radhika ive bought some clothes for you coz you don't have clothes so ive thought of buying it.)

Radhika took the bags and looked at the clothes, they were beautiful and elegant and fitted her very well. She smiled at Birju and thanked him for taking such good care for her.

"Chalo, radhika ab tayar ho jao warna Daima mera bura haal krdenge saawal puch puch kar"(Now, Radhika, get ready or else daima wil torture me by asking lots of questions)

They both laughed. Radhika took a pink and violet suit with simple embroidery and went to bathroom to take a shower. Birju took other plastic and went out. Radhika came out and looked at the mirror; she looked at her reflection and saw the same glow which she had seen a year ago. Maybe she has found new reason to live happy life.

"waah Radhika!!tum toh bahut khubsurat lag rhi ho..ek dum pari lag rahi ho.."Birju said (wow, Radhika u look so beautiful just like an angel)and got fascinated by Radhika's simple and innocent beauty. Radhika blushed at the compliment and simply smiled.

"Acha toh phir hum chale. Tum tayar hona.aur kuch toh chahiye?"Birju said(So lets go. U don't need anything now)

"aur kuch toh nahi chahiye bas mere purane kapde mujhe mil jaye.."(I dnt need anything but juz my old clothes)

"who maine gaddi mein rakh diye hai..mujhe pata tha ki tum puchogi"(ive put them in car, I know u would ask )

"Oh, dhanyawaad bhaiya, toh phir chale main bahut excited hu sabse milne ke liye, who sab mujhe pasand bhi karenge nah??" Radhika said with a questioning face.(thank u, so lets go. Im excited to meet them. Will they like me or not?)

"Haan, Radhika sab tumhe bahut pyaar karenge, sab toh tayariyan kar rhe hai tumahare aane ki aur kabse tumhara intezaar kar rhe hai, khas karke Daima"(yes they'll surely love u, everyone is preparing for you and waiting especially daima)

"Acha?" she said shockingly.(Really??)

"mainu nai pata si babaji ki tusi ini wadiya family deni yah..thank you babaji tusi humesha mere naal rehnde yah teh menu khusiyaan dinde yah.."she said in her mind.(I didn't knw that u would give me such a great family ..thank u'you are always there with me and give me happiness)

They drove home. She looked outside, enjoying the greenery of vrindavan. Thousands of questions came in her mind but she didn't look for answers because she knew she will get it soon and she has God with her who would give her answer.

They reached the house and suddenly her heart pumped hard. She got nervous when they reached the door. She saw the whole family smiling at her which made her more nervous.

"Arre aagayi Radhika"Daima said and run towards her(Radhika's here!!) Radhika touched her feet for blessing but Daima holds her and said "Tumhe aisa karne ki zarurat nahi hai, tum toh meri dil ho" She hugged Radhika.(you don't need to do that you resides in my heart)

"Aao, main tumhe aapne pure parivaar se milati hu" Daima said excitedly and took Radhika inside the house. (Come, ill introduce my family)She saw them standing in a line.

"Yeh mere bada bete Hari nath aur uski patni Padma, aur yeh mera chota beta Sooraj aur uski patni Vaishali..aur yeh hari nath ka beta Vivek aur uski patni Mohini aur uska beta ishaan aur Birju ko tum janti ho yeh humare bete jaisa hai"(this my eldest son Harinath and his wife Padma and he's my youngest son sooraj and his wife Vaishali and this is harinath's son Vivek and his wife Mohini and His son Ishaan. And you knw Birju he's like our son.)

"Sat Shri akal"she said with the folded hands but suddenly remembered she's not in Punjab but vrindavan..

"Oh, mera matlab Namaste" she said with an embarrassing tone. Everyone smiled at her

"Tum Punjab se ho?"Mohini said curiously(you're from Punjab?)

"Hanji, main Punjab se hi hu'kyun?" Radhika questioned(Yes, im from Punjab'why?)

"toh phir meri aur tumhari khoob jamegi kyunki meri frend Punjabi thi aur who hi meri best frend thi, bahut achi thi lekin bolti bhi bahut thi..kya tum bhi bahut bolti ho?"(then we will mingle well coz I had a best frend who was Punjabi..she's very nice but also talkative'are you talkative?)

"Abhi toh nahi zyada bolti lekin thode din intezaar kariye main bhi shuru ho jaungi."Radhika said jokingly(Not now, but wait for a while I will be also..)

Everyone laughed and Daima made Radhika sit and also others came and talked with her. Mohini was enjoying Radhika's company and start telling stories of her best friend. Everyone liked Radhika because of her sweet nature and doesn't make her feel out of place. Radhika also liked everyone and thanked God for giving her such a great family. Everyone had dinner and had a great time while chit chatting about various things.

"Radhika, aab tum aaram karo " Daima said (Radhika, now you take rest)and signaled Mohini to show her the room to which Mohini obeyed. Radhika took her bag of clothes and followed Mohini

"Radhika, yeh tumhara kamra hai tumhe bahut pasand aayega..maine khud sajaya hai" Mohini said excitedly.(Radhika this is your room, ull like it..ive arranged it) She looked at the room indeed it was beautiful and spacious.

"Waa, Bhabhi yeh toh bahut sundar kamra hai" Radhika complimented(the room is so beautiful)

"maine arrange kiya hai, sundar hi hoga, aur balcony bhi hai"Mohini said proudly(I've arranged it so it have to be beautiful. It also have balcony)

"Kya?balcony bhi hai?" (what? There's balcony?)

Radhika looked at the door which leads to the balcony and walked towards the balcony. She saw the mini garden and a door which leads to another room. she was about to walk towards the room until mohini came and told her that she can't enter the room because it's locked.

"Acha radhika ab tum aaram karo, bahut raat ho chuki hai"(radhika now you take rest its late night already)

"Theek hai Bhabhi, gud nyt"

Radhika stayed at the balcony for some time and then went to her room and then she lied in her comfy bed, closed her eyes, prayed God and then went to sleep.

The next morning..

Radhika woke up from a pleasant sleep, wishing the whole world a beautiful morning. She looked at the clock it was 3 o' clock and time for her to pray and read nitnem(it's bible we read for morning prayer). She went downstairs and looked for kitchen to cook breakfast for everyone. After cooking she still had time and thought of cleaning, which had almost finished till Vaishali came down.

"Aree, Radhika tum yeh sab kyun kar rhi ho?Urmila aajayegi kaam krne"Vaishali said.(Radhika why are you doing that?urmila will come to do the work)

"Choti ma, mera paas bahut samay tha isliye maine socha thodi safai shai karlu..evi wehle beth ke makhiya marniya yah" Radhika replied (I had tym so thought of cleaning'why sit idle and kill mosquitoes?)

"tum bhi nah radhika..tumhe yeh sab karne ki zarurat nahi hai..tumhe aaram ki zarurat hai, tum who karo" Vaishali said laughly(u dnt need to do that. You need rest just do that)

"aa lo , chotima main toh khatam bhi ho gyi, pura ghar saaf kr diya" (im almost finished ive already cleaned the whole house)

"Acha! Toh theek hai agli baar mat krna, abhi kr diya chod deti hu samaj aayi"(okey, so dnt do next tym ill leave u now..understand)

"yeh toh nahi ho skta yeh mujhse mat puchna kyun dadi se puchna aab aap sab log uth jaaye toh mujhe bulana main table set krdungi, khana ban chukka bas table pe hazri chahiye, main bahar hu" Radhika said (I cant happen..dont ask me why..ask dadi..when all of you will be awake call me ill cum to set the table'breakfast is already cooked juz ur presence is necessary.)and went away. Vaishali got amazed by what Radhika did within 3 hrs. Still in a trance she was going to reply Radhika but didn't find her there. Then she went to kitchen and checked the breakfast preparation, the food looks delicious. Everyone came down and found the house spotlessly clean, all of them got confused thinking who did all the cleaning and also in early hour. Everyone gathered at their Kanha temple and saw Vaishali decorating the temple.

"Vaishali, yeh sab saaf safai tumne itni jaldi krli?"Padma said(Vaishali you did all the cleaning so early?)

"Maine kaha ki didi, yeh saab Radhika ne kiya aur mere puchne par pta kya jawab diya'kya tha?...haan'evi wehle bethe ke makhiya marniya yah safai krlo " Vaishali said (I didn't do that, radhika did and you know wen I asked her why she answered'wat was that?...yes'why sit idle and kill mosquitoes?)

Everyone laughed at the comment and got amazed by Radhika's skills.

"Mamma, kya Radhika didi mere saath khelenge?"Ishaan asked Mohini(Mom, will Radhika di play with me?)

"Kyu nahi putra, bachon ke saath khelna toh meri khubhi hai" (why not, playing with kids is my skill)Radhika said and kneeled in front of Ishaan and said "Pta hai kyun'kyunki bachon ke saath main khud bachi ban jaati hu..".(you know why?..coz when I play with kids I myself become a kid) Ishaan hugged Radhika and said "Yehey, ab mere saath khelne ke liye ek aur dost mil gya hai.".(Yehey, now ive got new playmate) everyone smiled seeing the bonding between Ishaan and Radhika.

"Aree, Radhika tumne sab kaam itni jaldi krliye aur kisiki madad bhi nahi li, tumhe kaha tha aaram karne ke liye" Birju said.(Radhika u did all the work and didn't ask for help..you were told to take rest right?) Radhika stood up and walked towards Daima, holding Daima's shoulder, she said "inse puchiye maine inse kaha tha ki koi mujhe kaam krne se nahi rokega. Haina dadi?"(Ask her, I told her that no one would stop me on work)

"Haan Radhika, par maine yeh bhi kha tha ki thoda kaam krna lekin tumne toh ghar ke sabhi kaam krdiye"(yes, but I said few works but did the whole work..)

"Koi baat nahi aage se main thoda kaam krungi, aab sab khush?"Radhika said(don't worry nxt tym ill do only few works'everyone happy??)

"Haan, sab khush aab aarti shuru kare, kyu nah aaj tum aarti karo Radhika?" Hari nath said(yes, everyone is happy..now lets start the aarti'why don't u do the aarti radhika??)

"mujhe maaf kijiye maine kabhi aarti nahi ki isliye mujhe aati nahi" Radhika said embarrassedly(im sorry but I don't know how coz I never did before)

"Koi baat nahi Radhika, tum thodi der baad sikh jaogi, tumhe koi atiraaz toh nahi ki tum aarti karo" Sooraj said.(Dnt worry ull learn wouldn't u mind if ull do the aarti?)

"Nahi mujhe koi aitraaz nahi aarti toh bhagwan ki ho rahi hai chahe who kanha ho yah guru..hai toh saab ek hi nah.aur mera yahi manana hai ki sabka maalik ek hi hai." Everyone smiled at Radhika's belief in God and they also believed the same thing. (No I wouldn't..after all it is for God may it be Kanha or Guru..they are all same'my belief is god is one)

"Acha, chalo sab aarti karte hai.." Vivek said. (Okey, now lets do aarti)Everyone closed their eyes and sang the aarti, praying and thanking God for everything. After the aarti, all of them went to the dining table for breakfast. Everybody praised Radhika for her cooking skills. They had chit- chat and all the gents went to work while ladies did their usual routine though they don't have to anything but they have done some unfinished work plus talked among each other about various subjects. It was evening and all the males came home then they went to Kanha's mandir and met Shastri ji and her daughter Vishaka. They also loved Radhika after that Radhika became a good frend of Vishaka. Days went quickly, everyone start loving Radhika, both Purohit and Shastri Family loved Radhika, she got mingled with both of the families. Sometimes she would stay at Shastri's house for the sake of VIshaka, they had become best frends.

At the Purohit House..

"Hello, Everyone I'm home'" boy said with beaming voice. Everyone looked at that direction and was so shocked to realize that he is here.

"Arre, waah sab surprised hai, aur koi andar aane ke liye bhi nahi puch raha.."He said then he entered the house.(Wow, everyone is surprised and nobody is asking me to come inside )

"Dev, tu aagaya, par tumne bataya kyu nahiki tum aane wale ho?"Vaishali said.(Dev, ure already here but y didn't u told us ur coming)

"Ma, agar main bata deta toh sabka surprising face kaise dekhta?"Dev said cheerfully.(Mom, if I had told u how would I see ur surprising face)

Everyone got in good spirits when Dev came. He almost shocked everyone in the house. Everyone got excited and starts talking with Dev, asking him question and Ishaan was super excited when he learned about his new toys.

"Dev, tu bhi nah sabko choka diya..kaisa hai tu, aur America mein kya chal rha hai?"Daima asked(uve surprised everyone..hows u n America?)

"Dadi, America mein sab acha chal raha hai lekin aab main india hamesha ke liya aa gaya hu kyunki aapki bahut yaad aati thi isliye maine aab yahi rehne ka soch liya hai.."(Everything is fyn in America but now im moving in india forever coz ive missed you guys a lot.)

"waah, yeh toh bahut acha socha tumne aab hamara parivaar pura ho gaya hai, aur tum humare business mein kaam karna" Sooraj said(You've made a best decision now our family is complete..u can also work in our business.)

"woh toh main kr lunga lekin abhi main bahut thak gaya hu aur bahut bhuk lagi..kya aab main thoda aaram kar skta hu phir saab beth kar batien karenge," Dev said tiredly(I will but now im tired and hungary..can I take rest then ill talk to you all)

"haan, haan jao thoda aaram karlo phir tumhe hum niche bula lenge'tumhare kamre ki chabi le lena key holder se'" Vaishali said(yes, you can rest..we'll call for dinner..you can get ur room's key from key holder)

"Aree ma, Birju kaha hai?use dekha hi nahi.."Dev asked(where's birju I haven't seen him?)

"woh abhi aata hi hoga kuch lene gya hai'" Mohini replied(he'll cum soon..he went to buy..)

"Acha.."Dev said and went to his room. He opened the lock and entered the room, he felt the same ambiance which he had missed the most in America, his room was same as it is before. He put his bags in a corner and went to take a shower.
